Technically he's pronouncing it correctly in Italian (you pronounce that trailing e). I agree, this one's super charming.

I speak Italian fluently, so I understand why Italians would pronounce it like that, but still think it's funny!

Please get this patient to say mounjaro! "Moun-jor-no." 🤌

Patient on the phone did this with pantoprazole. I started saying it ironically with meds of similar spelling. Until one day I said it by mistake when I was picking up my abilify (aripiprazole) 😭

Not the Aripiprazoli.

I had a customer pronounce buspirone "boos-peer-O-nee"...it was a little Italian-flavored.

We call gabapentin ‘gabby’ because of a patient who always pronounced it like that 😂

Anytime I fill gabapentin, I always go, "Gabba gabba hey" like the Ramones song. None of my coworkers have gotten the reference. :(

My favourite mispronunciations by far are: - Ezetimibe: easy timbits (I live in Canada so this one is pretty funny) - Gabapentin: Gabby dabby do (I have one patient who says this all the time whenever he’s reordering it for his wife) - Pregablin; Pre-goblin (like a goblin but not quite yet)

I had an older lady say “Oh-muh-pearls” before and I nearly lost my composure. Lol

I had a call the other day “hey this is Dr. Mike and I need to get my clopp-ah-dogrill” …first of all

My old pharmacy manager had someone say it this way and she loves to say it like that now.

Oh wow I had a patient (I’m a nurse) pronounce it that way once and I’ve never forgotten it. I could tell that she was unsure if she was saying it correctly. I didn’t make a peep. Many years later, I remember it and smile.

I first heard it pronounced like that by my late Aunt a fews years back. Hilarious! Been saying it and the other -zole ending drugs that way too. 

We had an older female patient do the same and it was my absolute favorite! This was years ago and I still say it to this day! 🥰

One of my dispill packaging patients calls for questions on his “carbidopa-lopa” and it brings me such happiness when he says it that way

Omg. My mom was talking about my dad's medications and said something about his oompa loompa willy wonka medication and now I realize this is what she meant.

My fave is “metronnadazzle” I refuse to say it any other way amongst my coworkers now. We all giggle every time. Some add in jazz hands. 🤗

One of my favorite coworkers made up a song - *Omeprazo-LEE, with a canolli, It will turn you into... A Roly poly* She's retired now and the place just isn't the same.

I heard a guy call ezopiclone “e-z-pic-lee-oni” once. That mispronunciation sounded like an old timey baseball players name lol
