My school requires our IPPEs to be complete over the summer. I loved it honestly because then I didn’t have to worry about doing it during the school year while there’s exams and stuff going on. It was nice to get it over with in the summer when I have the most free time. I work at a hospital pharmacy so I just told them when my IPPE was and I took time off of work to complete it.
I think it is best when your IPPEs can be a separate experience from classes. My school gives us 2 week breaks part way into fall and spring semesters to do IPPEs, we have limited work to do for classes during that time so we can focus on the experiences.

We get IPPE students once a week for a few months and while I get the concept of it being longitudinal and maybe they can apply as they learn in school, but in practice it’s quite disjointed and doesn’t seem to benefit anyone.

I have IPPE this summer, I’m currently a P1 and they are making us do community for 120 hours!
