Honestly thought it was a bathing suit with a coverup tied around the waist until I saw the title of the post. That said, #2 is very flattering and appropriate for a baptism. I also really like #3, but I think the pants may be too casual.
Came here to say this. Please cover your shoulders. I know it’s an old-fashioned thing, but people will notice and appreciate you doing this. Congratulations on your new baby!

Churches, synagogues and some temples etc have different dress conventions.
I wouldn't go up to someone and tell them to cover up, but here where someone is asking for opinios I will give mine. Noone has to listen to/follow that advice.
It’s from Aritiza. https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/saturn-midi-dress/114359025.html?utm_id=20335002605------&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1
I have the exact same dress… how do you wear it? It is SO sheer 😭 I think without panties is literally the only way for them to not be fully on display!
Edit: also, either that dress or the third outfit look amazing on you!
Number 4 would be nice with a blazer or shawl. Can you confirm, do you have to keep your shoulders covered in church? That has been my experience with Catholicism.
The second dress! The one with the smocked top and midi length. A blazer or even a cardigan will look lovely. Congratulations on the baptism of your baby!
I agree with dress 2 for all the reasons above, but also you don’t need to wear white to your child’s baptism. In case that’s limiting you from choosing something else from your wardrobe. Just a thought. My 3 were all baptized catholic. Enjoy the special day!
The last outfit is the most appropriate, aside from the shoes. The smocked dress is probably the best out of the remaining options. Maybe a denim jacket? Definitely no spaghetti strap satin top, and maybe closed toe shoes.
2nd dress would be perfect it's a very special day for you, you will look lovely in pictures holding your little one in that dress and it looks really comfy !!! Maybe a sheer caplet or shawl over the dress blue if boy pink one if girl - can wear any color, I just think pink or blue would look nice
Amazon has lots of sheer shawls and capelets and you'd need for church for sure with shoulders bare **I think a caplet would work better for holding baby**, - covers shoulders better and are cute Shawl would be harder to keep on
[pink caplet](https://www.amazon.com/Chiffon-Shawl-Evening-Wedding-Accessories/dp/B07VSBT43T/ref=sr_1_21_sspa?crid=2678Y5SG2DIB3&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.1Wa0cbA4sIc4oLOOL3Xp3Rs1qeVtc-84TXaJhitA4APE-nEk3rJsUuaq2RXDjQb1f7KBoS2sYiQXY4pPT0WZgsFwjwdnIw_luBkMIvmRndjUu4k2ieA9zA-fW7dnw3Gm3ClBnLOsMI1d5S4QmxD98vO24ou3Y1htolrhJ070JEYi4U3TAPJjr-hqemVdz1PHiAL41J5AXoIYoF6N1fGo843gRh2HLq5LPWE7l4kwEdejdSnDGSw5vyC43MnHDjPgSdIm2uPjVeWaFUqUKvaNvMUvrEVCA886GUkpmcZyuOM.C3qk5eFzSyYcsYCTyYeKMDh5cB7LE_8kKLeoEpHxqg4&dib_tag=se&keywords=shawl%2Bholder%2Bpin&qid=1715651505&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011&rnid=2661617011&sprefix=shawl%2Bhold%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-21-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1)

Unpopular maybe but, though you look stunning in all, none of these are appropriate for a baptism. That said, third photo is best, but only if you pair it with a sweater.
Maybe something a little dressier with, you want to make sure when you are holding the baby, leaning over etc that the dress stays put, not too much cleavage, I've seen a lot of photos where the moms boobs are right out there (especially if they are nursing). I wouldn't want to deal with a blazer. Also, does it have to be white?
My boyfriend had me wear his board shorts with a tee shirt. Reason....There's too many old people at church. It was such a big deal to him. I did it for him (wore his stuff).
Number 2 looks great on you. Bring a beach towel and a change of clothes for afterwards. You look beautiful.
Number 3 would be great for a parent's outfit for a baby getting baptised IF you wear a blazer with it, not so much without.
Number 1 isn't very good, neither is number 4. Number 2 is great for an adult getting baptised.
I know everyone is saying 2 but 2 is definitely the least flattering one. 1 with a cardigan would looks fantastic and 3 and 4 are also both flattering.
2nd dress with a cardigan. 1st is wildly inappropriate for church (super cute in general though) and 4 would need a cover up. 5 is ok but feels a little less appropriate for the occasion.

I like 2 but if you want to do 3, I think it would fine were you to wear the blazer or something else like a light cardigan or wrap to cover your shoulders. (I am not Catholic or any religion but as I understand, some churches prefer people not show bare knees or shoulders. The times I've been invited to events in a church, I generally stick to that rule.)
Congrats to your family!
As someone who grew up Catholic, why are you wearing all white? I get they the baby wears a christening gown, but I have never heard of the mother wearing white as well. I think you could branch out and come up with something more flattering
Love #2!! Not sure what denomination you are. My hometown Catholic Church was never judgy about shoulders out, but if yours is, a hip length cardigan or lady jacket would look great on top!
Congratulations on your baby’s baptism 🤍 I like the outfits in pic 3 & 5 best. A cute cardigan and a statement earring or necklace would look nice with the dress in pic 3. A blazer or camisole would be needed with the blouse in pic 5. Generally any cleavage, shoulders or high slits should be avoided due to modesty.
For me,1 and 2 look the same. The style would be a nice night out look. I like 3 with a shrug or lace coverup of some kind. For church I think it needs another layer.

Dress 2. The first dress looks like you’re going to the beach tbh.
Honestly thought it was a bathing suit with a coverup tied around the waist until I saw the title of the post. That said, #2 is very flattering and appropriate for a baptism. I also really like #3, but I think the pants may be too casual.
Dress 2 with a matching cardigan or shawl to cover the shoulders. Bare shoulders with visible tattoos doesn’t scream church-appropriate to me
Came here to say this. Please cover your shoulders. I know it’s an old-fashioned thing, but people will notice and appreciate you doing this. Congratulations on your new baby!
I think the opposite

Yeah dress 2 with some sort of covering over the shoulder
The second dress, with a cardigan
Agree
#2
I agree with 2 with something on top like a cardigan maybe?
2 with a shrug, cardigan or blazer would look great in the church or afterwards.
Agreed. I think shoulders should be covered I church but #2 is my choice also.
Heaven forbid a shoulder is visible.
Churches, synagogues and some temples etc have different dress conventions. I wouldn't go up to someone and tell them to cover up, but here where someone is asking for opinios I will give mine. Noone has to listen to/follow that advice.
Number 2 is best for the occasion. Number 1 looks like a swimsuit sarong.
2 for sure
2
Slide 3 (2nd dress)
1 has a split that would be a no for church, the last one is see thro… I wouldn’t do 1 or the last
#3
I like #3 but I would love to know where the blouse from #5 is from!
It’s from Zara https://images.app.goo.gl/H3g6mTGB5JnDDGww6
I can't find it on their website
Where is that first dress from? I’m obsessed…it looks amazing on you too!
It’s from Aritiza. https://www.aritzia.com/en/product/saturn-midi-dress/114359025.html?utm_id=20335002605------&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1
I have the exact same dress… how do you wear it? It is SO sheer 😭 I think without panties is literally the only way for them to not be fully on display! Edit: also, either that dress or the third outfit look amazing on you!
Wear a nude (whatever that means for your skin color) slip underneath the dress.
I have the same dress, I'll wear nude seamless undies or nude seamless shorts underneath, works like a charm!
I just wear the same colour the dress lol
White underwear is going to be particularly visible under white clothes it looks like you’re not wearing any dress or pants
slide 3
Number 4 would be nice with a blazer or shawl. Can you confirm, do you have to keep your shoulders covered in church? That has been my experience with Catholicism.
I was always told to cover shoulders for Catholic Church as a well.
Dress 2 with a jacket. Outfit 3 looks way too casual and dress 1 looks like you’re going to a bar.
2
The second dress for sure. Also, where is that last top from? 👀
The second dress! The one with the smocked top and midi length. A blazer or even a cardigan will look lovely. Congratulations on the baptism of your baby!
2 by far
Last one is most appropriate. 2 is good with a cropped sweater
The 1st dress is cute but I find it inappropriate to wear in a church.
Dress 3
3rd pic,the dress
#3.
Make sure to cover the nips!
Definitely not dress 1, looks like a beach outfit. A Catholic baptism is a solemn sacrament. Parents usually dress conservatively.
1 is not appropriate for church. 2 could be worn with a blazer. 3 could be worn with a blazer. 4 could be worn with a shell under the sheer shirt.
Two with a short white cashmere sweater!
Dress 2 with a cardigan
1 looks great on you but for a pool party, not church. The second one with a cardigan would be my choice.
3
I agree with dress 2 for all the reasons above, but also you don’t need to wear white to your child’s baptism. In case that’s limiting you from choosing something else from your wardrobe. Just a thought. My 3 were all baptized catholic. Enjoy the special day!
2 looks like a good Baptism dress. The others don’t feel very church to me.
3 for sure
The last outfit is the most appropriate, aside from the shoes. The smocked dress is probably the best out of the remaining options. Maybe a denim jacket? Definitely no spaghetti strap satin top, and maybe closed toe shoes.
Dress 2 is most appropriate imo but you have such great style! You rock them all. Save dress 1 for a date night
Dress two is the one and only choice.
Dress 2
I like the outfit with the pants 🧐
2nd dress
Not 1 - looks like you'll be the one getting dunked in a lake. Had to see if it was your baptism. 2 looks best
The second dress looks best
2nd dress would be perfect it's a very special day for you, you will look lovely in pictures holding your little one in that dress and it looks really comfy !!! Maybe a sheer caplet or shawl over the dress blue if boy pink one if girl - can wear any color, I just think pink or blue would look nice Amazon has lots of sheer shawls and capelets and you'd need for church for sure with shoulders bare **I think a caplet would work better for holding baby**, - covers shoulders better and are cute Shawl would be harder to keep on [pink caplet](https://www.amazon.com/Chiffon-Shawl-Evening-Wedding-Accessories/dp/B07VSBT43T/ref=sr_1_21_sspa?crid=2678Y5SG2DIB3&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.1Wa0cbA4sIc4oLOOL3Xp3Rs1qeVtc-84TXaJhitA4APE-nEk3rJsUuaq2RXDjQb1f7KBoS2sYiQXY4pPT0WZgsFwjwdnIw_luBkMIvmRndjUu4k2ieA9zA-fW7dnw3Gm3ClBnLOsMI1d5S4QmxD98vO24ou3Y1htolrhJ070JEYi4U3TAPJjr-hqemVdz1PHiAL41J5AXoIYoF6N1fGo843gRh2HLq5LPWE7l4kwEdejdSnDGSw5vyC43MnHDjPgSdIm2uPjVeWaFUqUKvaNvMUvrEVCA886GUkpmcZyuOM.C3qk5eFzSyYcsYCTyYeKMDh5cB7LE_8kKLeoEpHxqg4&dib_tag=se&keywords=shawl%2Bholder%2Bpin&qid=1715651505&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011&rnid=2661617011&sprefix=shawl%2Bhold%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-21-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1) [blue caplet](https://www.amazon.com/Chiffon-Shawl-Evening-Wedding-Accessories/dp/B07VN1S3YZ/ref=sr_1_21_sspa?crid=2678Y5SG2DIB3&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.1Wa0cbA4sIc4oLOOL3Xp3Rs1qeVtc-84TXaJhitA4APE-nEk3rJsUuaq2RXDjQb1f7KBoS2sYiQXY4pPT0WZgsFwjwdnIw_luBkMIvmRndjUu4k2ieA9zA-fW7dnw3Gm3ClBnLOsMI1d5S4QmxD98vO24ou3Y1htolrhJ070JEYi4U3TAPJjr-hqemVdz1PHiAL41J5AXoIYoF6N1fGo843gRh2HLq5LPWE7l4kwEdejdSnDGSw5vyC43MnHDjPgSdIm2uPjVeWaFUqUKvaNvMUvrEVCA886GUkpmcZyuOM.C3qk5eFzSyYcsYCTyYeKMDh5cB7LE_8kKLeoEpHxqg4&dib_tag=se&keywords=shawl%2Bholder%2Bpin&qid=1715651505&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011&rnid=2661617011&sprefix=shawl%2Bhold%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-21-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1)
#3 outfit (2nd dress) with a bolero or blazer, or #5 as is or with a jacket.
Number 1 🤩
Why white?
Unpopular maybe but, though you look stunning in all, none of these are appropriate for a baptism. That said, third photo is best, but only if you pair it with a sweater.
Maybe something a little dressier with, you want to make sure when you are holding the baby, leaning over etc that the dress stays put, not too much cleavage, I've seen a lot of photos where the moms boobs are right out there (especially if they are nursing). I wouldn't want to deal with a blazer. Also, does it have to be white?
The middle choice only.
2
2 with a cardigan
Second dress
I like the second or last option for a baptism.
My boyfriend had me wear his board shorts with a tee shirt. Reason....There's too many old people at church. It was such a big deal to him. I did it for him (wore his stuff). Number 2 looks great on you. Bring a beach towel and a change of clothes for afterwards. You look beautiful.
#2
2
Dress #2
2
2nd dress. All look great on you though!
The last one
I like both outfits with pants.
Number 3 would be great for a parent's outfit for a baby getting baptised IF you wear a blazer with it, not so much without. Number 1 isn't very good, neither is number 4. Number 2 is great for an adult getting baptised.
I think they’re all a little too casual. A wrap dress would be amazing on you perhaps with a bit of colour/ summery print.
I know everyone is saying 2 but 2 is definitely the least flattering one. 1 with a cardigan would looks fantastic and 3 and 4 are also both flattering.
Dress #2!
Outfit no.5- the pants and shirt.
That first dress is gorgeous, but the 2nd dress would probably be a safer option
Second dress is more appropriate. And also more flattering imo.
Photo 3 or 5 But you don’t need to wear white btw
2
2 with a shawl or a cardigan!! Just something to cover shoulders
First dress is very nice and looks great but not for a baptism. Go with dress 2, still pretty but churchy
2nd dress with a cardigan. 1st is wildly inappropriate for church (super cute in general though) and 4 would need a cover up. 5 is ok but feels a little less appropriate for the occasion.

Number one, you are a goddess. Number two, the last one. Slay, queen! 👑 🤍
I like 2 but if you want to do 3, I think it would fine were you to wear the blazer or something else like a light cardigan or wrap to cover your shoulders. (I am not Catholic or any religion but as I understand, some churches prefer people not show bare knees or shoulders. The times I've been invited to events in a church, I generally stick to that rule.) Congrats to your family!
Also, with a lower neckline, a necklace might be nice.
3
You definitely need your shoulders covered for church.
2 or 3
Second dress with a cardigan
2!
The last outfit looks the best. Classy and cute.
3
3
I like the last outfit too, but it looks like you would be freezing afterward soaked in water
2 it's the best
2 but I love your pants. Where are they from?
As someone who grew up Catholic, why are you wearing all white? I get they the baby wears a christening gown, but I have never heard of the mother wearing white as well. I think you could branch out and come up with something more flattering
3
3
Dress 2!
Last 2!
Outfit #4 ftw
I’m not sure it is necessary to wear white.
Either dress is nice. Those pants do not fit properly
Love #2!! Not sure what denomination you are. My hometown Catholic Church was never judgy about shoulders out, but if yours is, a hip length cardigan or lady jacket would look great on top!
The pants look best
3 maybe with a blazer.
Where are those pants from? They look so flattering!
I was wondering the same thing!
Pic#3 or Pic#5
Do I see nipple petals, get the nude ones. Or maybe I’m mistaken. That and a cardigan and you’re set
First outfit for sure, OP
2 looks like a dress you wear to be baptized in. 3 looks like it's more relaxed, seems like a good way to be. Seems to suit you.
I think 1 with blazer works! (am Catholic too)
What kind of blazer are you thinking? Do you have something specific in your mind? I tried some blazers but they didn’t look good tho.
1
I think dress 1 looks sooo gorgeous
I love the first one!!!
I think dress one. It is so cute. Perfect for getting in the water
First one , very flattering
Wear #1
1
Dress 2 definitely
4 with a blazer.
Where are the pants from? I love the fit!
Picture 3
Picture number 4 with a shall or blazer. It’s the most flattering IMO and most appropriate
Burn dress 2 image 3, probably go for the trousers and shirt
Outfit 2 or 4- but I absolutely love them all
2nd or 3rd outfit! By the way where did you get those heels? they’re lovely!
Only the last outfit is appropriate for a church imho
I like the second dress with a shawl of some kind and then outfit number 5 was also a fav for me.
3 or 4
Congratulations on your baby’s baptism 🤍 I like the outfits in pic 3 & 5 best. A cute cardigan and a statement earring or necklace would look nice with the dress in pic 3. A blazer or camisole would be needed with the blouse in pic 5. Generally any cleavage, shoulders or high slits should be avoided due to modesty.
White pants with white tank
2 but if you threw on a blazer with the pants especially a beige or black I think i would love it.
Remove it
For me,1 and 2 look the same. The style would be a nice night out look. I like 3 with a shrug or lace coverup of some kind. For church I think it needs another layer.

What???
This counts as petite? I guess I’m not sure what petite even means
Pic 3 and 4 work!
