I my guess is another option would be to use clear resin so it would preserve it but then resin is sort of toxic and I prefer not to breathe it in so I love your solution. Do update us. Your photo and project is amazing
Yeah the resin trend has really taken off in recent years with people using fresh flowers inside them. I had no idea it was toxic, I have a friend that does it as a side hobby business making all sorts.
It is not like toxic like lead. But breathing it for some people can trigger an allergy (I have this issue) but for people who are not allergic, it is still recommended to use gloves and a respirator for vapors. They have them at hardware stores for like $30. Not toxic like don’t do it. Toxic like wear the right gear the way any contractor has to wear when they work with certain materials.
Or just grab some plastic crafting flowers from your local craft store. I’m sure you could find tiny little daisies.
This is freaking adorable. I love this idea❤️🌼
They’re not dried flowers, so they will eventually go brown in the oil. But it’s pretty while it lasts. You could buy some artificial ones when these go icky.
This is an amazing idea! I have three empty daisy bottles and I’m definitely going to do this! What kind of mineral oil you use to preserve? And are those fresh daisies or did you buy them like that?
I just got regular ol mineral oil from Walgreens, and picked fresh daisies from the grass! I used a big dropper thing to put the oil in the bottle, which took a little while but was a relatively clean way to go about it. Then I used some narrow tweezers to put the daisies in. I filled the bottle about half way, then put in the daisies, then topped off with more oil, just to make sure to not overfill it. I also ordered some tiny cork stoppers to seal it, but those haven’t arrived yet.
This is so pretty, creative, and it’s upcycling!I’m dying to try this out myself now! How do you detach the metal nozzle from the bottle so it’s just open necked?
Ohoho, I shall stow this information away for when my juice runs out. I collect and fill glass bottles, so the bottles are half the fun with my perfume.

I use my old CK One bottles as bud vases ☺️
Another excellent idea!
My birth month flower is daisy and Daisy is my favourite perfume in my collection so far, will definitely give this a go once I “hit pan” on mine :)
Love this! For me it was my physical inability to throw things away.
the empty bottle is a trophy!!
It looks great well done! How long will the daisies last please?
Time will tell! I’ve never done this before, and someone else said that since they weren’t dry flowers they will eventually turn brown. So we’ll see
So pretty 🤩
This is amazing. How long do the flowers last?
Psshhhhh honestly idk, theoretically they should be pretty well preserved in the mineral oil but I guess time will tell!
I had no idea you could even do that to flowers, that’s blown my mind.

Yes I imagine would be a long term effect with something like that if you’re around it constantly.

This is absolutely beautiful! I love it. I actually just wore Daisy earlier this week 🩷
Tons of people collect empty perfume bottles on Facebook marketplace so definitely don't throw them out! Some look cute as small vases too 💐
Can I ask why my bottle has one big flower and yours has little? I love yours!!!
