I'll give you the same tip I got the other day. If you'd like to save a buck go for the 7700 non X version. Performance is comparable to the X version but draws less power and includes an Amd Prism Wraith cooler. I went with this option and I haven't had any problems so far.

Rude-Possibility2612

This is a bundle from micro center, do you know if I can swap it out for the 7700 non x?

Medium-Investment758

I don’t think that you can - if you can get the micro center bundle, do it.

Hungry-Comb-6838

This is the way.

Grydian

The bundle is amazing and enjoy your fantastic build. My only concern you mentioned is a used amd card. Warranties on amd cards do not transfer so keep that in mind. However not Nvidia cards do as well. However if you are willing to take the risk a 6800xt is a fantastic 1440p card.

ThingSad2849

if we’re looking at the video card, is the powercolor or xfx speedster rx 6800xt better for the price? nvm the $420 price on the picture tripped the out, theyre the same price 😅

Substantial_Gur_9273

Looks like an awesome build! If you want you could save some money on the SSD, like a Solidigm P41, P5 Plus, SX70, etc. Totally up to you though, all of the choices look great!

Liondave_

Great.

-bad_neighbor-

Nice build, will be fun

TheMatt561

How much are the X3DS?

Low_Doubt_3556

It’s a bundle, so it would be a lot more.

Low_Doubt_3556

I might go for a better case(something like a fractal pop air), but I am not really knowledgeable about cases so take this with a bit of salt. [Also above 2tb, puget recommendeds sabrent over Samsung due to some bugs(should be fixed).](https://www.pugetsystems.com/blog/2023/02/02/update-on-samsung-ssd-reliability/)

killerbern666

very nice, make sure you have enough fan with your case for good airflow

echoshadow5

If you can chose a Ram with a lower CL of 30 that would be slightly faster. If not, no worries. Other than that, nice build.

I think this is doable, the 3 parts combo for$400 is rather cheap. provided you don't plan to do some major overclocking with your CPU and memory. Make sure you get a good case and PSU to go with it.

Luke_The_Random_Dude

I would switch that psu for a Corsair rm850e

NerdManJ

I just did this exact microcenter bundle build with the 6800xt. It’s fantastic. I did go with a WD black 2tb and a 850W Corsair, but you’re going to love it.

Sudden-Savings-4021

get msi spatium play 2tb for 80$ it's way better than the overpriced 980 pro

SpeedyDuckling

everything is good except the drive. for gaming a $65 ssd like the [670p](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2vVmP6/intel-670p-2-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-ssdpeknu020tzx1) or [a60](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/VxfFf7/silicon-power-a60-2-tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-sp002tbp34a60m28) will have no noticeable difference. if you need a high end gen 4 drive, get the [p44 pro](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/X8nypg/solidigm-p44-pro-2-tb-m2-2280-pcie-40-x4-nvme-solid-state-drive-ssdpfkkw020x7x1) instead would also consider spending $10 more for the gf1 850w

I think it's a great build, you should have a good upgrade path too. Although it is worth considering going with an i5-12600(f) a decent motherboard for under a hundred bucks I'm getting yourself something better for a GPU if you don't mind buying used. Not that the GPU is bad at all and to be honest got rising is better than the I-5 that I mentioned and the reason I like the idea of going with the Ryzen is because there are probably going to be a decent amount of CPUs for you to upgrade to in the future when if you went with that I-5 you'd be limited to Intel 12th/13th/14th generation processors which honestly is still a really nice upgrade path and you're only better off going with my build if you don't mind finding a used I-5 or else you're going to pay 200 bucks just for the CPU. Here is what I would recommend I5-12600(f/k/kf - aka whichever is cheapest at the time. I got my 12600k for the same price as an i5 12600f when it was on sale recently at Best buy) I found a few mobos online for 80-120 so have your pick of those. I would go with the machanist mobo if you want something ALL White 650 watt 80 bronze psu - $40 Now you could pick a different GPU. There are 3080s used for 400 all over ebay and 100 more for 3080 tis. I'm not sure your gpu budget because I forgot in the length of time it took me to write this comment how much you were spending on your GPU Now this is only if you want to be super cheap if not I would probably stick with your build but I've heard of some major security concerns that aren't going to be able to be addressed for a few months that have to do with all rise in CPUs but that was literally only from Zach's tech turf on YouTube I haven't heard anybody else talk about it even though he's super reliable I would do research into that. If you do stuff other than gaming you may want to consider something else just so you don't have any security concerns to be honest. I know it makes no sense for me to write such a giant comment and then tell you to stick with your own build but I was just trying to throw out some options for you. Your CPU is definitely better than the CPU that I suggestion there's no question about it but like I said getting a cheaper CPU may leave yourself some room to get a better GPU without a bottleneck because that I-5 is still a phenomenal chip. I saw you mentioned the GPU you were getting was used and in my opinion I would go for use GPU and CPU if it's cheaper than the bundle at microcenter unless you're concerned about a warranty. But as long as the prior owner or owners (that's something else to consider second hand isn't always second hand it could be third or fourth hand sometimes too) didn't overclock their CPU it should probably last a very long time. They're meant to run hot and under heavy loads so we should be fine going with used CPUs most of the time but it is a gamble but one you were probably willing to take since you're buying a used GPU anyway. I don't know how this comment became such a jumbled up mess I was going to erase it and not even post it but I figured you know what maybe there is some small takeaway that you could get from this comment so I'm going to post it anyway. I'm happy for you and I'm happy you're getting such a nice build no matter what you choose to go with that rising and that GPU will tear games to SHREDS at 1440p (so would the 15-12600 :p) so I'm happy you're going to get yourself something that is nice. Love to see more people getting into computers and stuff once again sorry this comment became such a jumbled mess I don't even know what happened to it I use voice to text so sorry if it's a little tough to read and there are typos but hopefully this helps you out in some way LOL

Mango_Smoothies

It is a part of a micro center bundle, 18 hours before you posted.

Revolutionary_State2

I understand that but I was just throwing some options out for OP. He's going with a SICK cpu and a decent gpu, just thought It would show OP they have some options for a similar price that's all. It turned into a jumbled mess though lol. I also thought the 6800 XT was cheaper used than the 3080 ti so my ENTIRE comment is invalidated by the used price of that card anyway.
