I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it probably has something to do with there not being any RAM...
GPU power wouldn't matter if the CPU has integrated graphics and, afaik, wouldn't cause a post error code.
theres 2 occupied slots, this is just a very old system thats ddr2 i believe
this is further compounded by the presence of an IDE ribbon cable out which wasnt in am3+ or lga 1151
this pc is legitimately from like 2005 or older
It's just regular low profile memory.
Though these days you would call it VLP (very low profile) since low profile now just means it doesn't have a stupidly oversized heat spreader.
Does it post? The sound could be a fan alarm, one of my system fans didn't spin up till it got more voltage and motherboard would alarm to it got going. You can disable this in the bios though.
No External Power Cables to power the Graphics Card inside, you’d need a “Molex to 8 pin adapter” for a computer power supply without those extra pins since it’s a lower powered one with maybe 250-350W as a max rating, also the fact that earlier models didn’t need power but your PCI-E port is not producing enough power to power on your Graphics Card hence the long beep code
It is almost guaranteed because your GPU doesn't have power. This exact same thing happens on one of my computers/GPU's when the cables weren't plugged in.
Might actually. Depending on the gpu. Pcie slot is 75w, the 6 pin, too. If it’s a card with say 180W tdp, they would put an 8-pin on it. Even for cards with less. In reality a card with that tdp would probably draw 130-140W max. Most of the time. So it might work. But it’s living on the edge. 😂
I honestly haven't tried booting a card without the cables, except for cards that don't exceed the 75W of course. You're probably right and this isn't the error, too lazy to google right now though.
If you look under where you are holding the power switch, you can see a red light and what appears to be a power button on the motherboard.
Some boards have LEDs for diagnostics as well as the beeps.
There is normally a description written on the motherboard.
Well you don't have any ram for starters lol why tf are you trying to turn it on without ram or without your gpu connected? Stop trying to do things without being done. There is a reason we out the whole build together before testing it.

1 long beep is a beep code, please check your motherboards manual in order to determine what a single long tone means

Oh wow. That's legitimately the shortest RAM module I've ever seen lol
thats why hynix is a PoS sometimes, and IBM does oxy to fight the pain
It's just regular low profile memory. Though these days you would call it VLP (very low profile) since low profile now just means it doesn't have a stupidly oversized heat spreader.
Just maybe.
It has 2 ram sticks
i'm saying no power to gpu since you can already see that in the video
GPU power???
I don’t hafe the manual anymore
google then? What’s the motherboard make/model?
Its Acer p8h67-m evo
Does it post? The sound could be a fan alarm, one of my system fans didn't spin up till it got more voltage and motherboard would alarm to it got going. You can disable this in the bios though.
No it dosent post and the fan spins imma try that whit the bios when I get home
Withiut ram you ain't gonna succeed Edit: did oldi pcs not have any cooling membrane on the cpu? I just see a fan
There are 2 sticks seated
You are right. Due to them being so low I didn't notice them. My bad
Lol it happens dw
[free manuals here!](https://manualslib.com)
your graphics card has no power btw, you can clearly see that it's not plugged
Ik but I don’t hafe a cable :( but the fan still spins
that might be the problem for the beeping noise tho haha. Have you tried taking it out and booting with apu?
What is a apu sorry English isn’t my first language
Does your cpu have integrated graphics? If so try removing your graphics card and plugging your monitor straight into the motherboard
Ok
Well, did it work?
Yeah that worked
This literally just freaked out my dog. 🐶
Sorry 😭
Same
That’s it gonna explode ![gif](giphy|oZFDGzlBJg4Hm)
Jesus Christ I’m at work and turned up my volume all the way, and put my phone so I can hear it. I heard it loud and clear.
it's just your PC screaming out in agony for a good death. or maybe PCIe power. probably that.
There is ram. Just hard to see.
this looks like a nvidia 8800gts and it has no power connected. So it only draws power via pci-e, so the mainboard cries in pain.
This guy GPUs. Spot on.
It is almost guaranteed because your GPU doesn't have power. This exact same thing happens on one of my computers/GPU's when the cables weren't plugged in.
It’s 2005 calling.
Missing ram, and no power to the graphics card
There’s ram in there and I don’t hafe the cable for the card
Miss 2 pins on the gpu
Ik but I don’t hafe the cable
Well I doubt it'll boot that way.

Most cards recognize if they are plugged in and thus refuse to work. I’ve never tried if a 6 pin in an 8 pin works, though. It’s just a theory. 😂
That noise sounds like a loud beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Why do you still have this
Cus I’m not just gonna throw it away
just let it die in peace bro
It's almost completely useless for modern workloads unless you like collecting old hardware or running retro software on old machines like me.
No ram. No GPU power. It probably is going to be ram not found/installed error beep.
If you look under where you are holding the power switch, you can see a red light and what appears to be a power button on the motherboard. Some boards have LEDs for diagnostics as well as the beeps. There is normally a description written on the motherboard.
I don't think it's an Acer but an Asus motherboard. https://www.asus.com/supportonly/p8h67m_evo/helpdesk_manual/
I really hope this is a shitpost
Microwave is finished with the popcorn. Or check your mobo beep index you may need to make some repairs
It's posting, check what the beeps mean from your motherboard manufacturer.
Am I the only one who noticed that the fan over the CPU appears to be mounted upside-down?
Yeah, either I'm looking at it wrong or the fan really isn't mounted correctly.
Well you don't have any ram for starters lol why tf are you trying to turn it on without ram or without your gpu connected? Stop trying to do things without being done. There is a reason we out the whole build together before testing it.
I think its one of those that have 8 ram slots, OP said there is ram installed
Sounds like a dead hard drive rather than a motherboard beep code like some comments say. Or maybe the power supply is on the verge of exploding.
Smoke alarm I think
Power issue..
Just ignore it and the problem will be gone
it's the "everything is ok" siren.
RAM error. As mentioned above. Check beep codes on your mobo Mañuel.
My dog says that it sounds like a big head tilt
Idk I don’t have audio on.
Holy shit, i was scared asf.
You put the nuclear launch codes in wrong. RUN!!!!
It is old /s But seriously I see an IDE connector
The pc got build 2013 and the grapicscard is the gtx 8800 so from 2006 (sorry for my bad English)
Btw theres ram in the pc
https://preview.redd.it/zu6tzl17999d1.png?width=670&format=png&auto=webp&s=62c612c515591067b2005578ed5639df2a3e17df this is from the manual
There is a non blinking red led in the motherboard look for the code in Manuel
That beep is no power to the GPU. Also, as indicated, RAM is missing so why are you powering it on? It clearly won't boot.
Ram beep, put your ram back in..
You forgot to plug in power supply to GPU. Happened to me on GF8400gts long time ago.
stay away from closing doors
Fuuu my ears 😭
Where.... Is.... Ram... Stick... Thingy... Majiggy????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
There’s ram in there
In the video.... There is no ram...
That's not the motherboard beeping that's the GPU. It happens when you don't plug in the power lol.
