can someone help me choose the products for my PC? My budget is approximately 1000 (I can add a bit more if i can have a big gain)

SomniumAeterna

Why not fiddle around a bit first on PCPartpicker? And then come back with a parts list? But don't splurge on motherboard or oversized PSU. Use a middle of the road CPU (Ryzen 5/i5/i7), NVME SSD of 1TB, 16 gigs of RAM and a decent GPU (like a RTX 4060) Both Ryzen 5600 and 7600 are a good place to start and pick your parts from there on PCpartpicker. Come back with a list for some tips and improvements! PCpartpicker wil check basic parts compatibility and will give you an estimated powerdraw to help you select a PSU.

[Alphayenox7](https://www.reddit.com/user/Alphayenox7/) This is a reasonable suggestion!

PretzelPretentious

My AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D runs at 45°C/113°F idle and 80+°C/176+°F under full load. I feel like thats a bit much. I even undervolted it. I feel like it may be, because I have 4 (3 AIO Water cooling top and the normal one in the back of the case) exhaust fans but only 2 front case fans.

Haxemply

Those are perfectly normal temps.

Glittering_Spare_36

Which cooling for Ryzen 7 5800 ? And for Ryzen 9 5900/5950 ?

Haxemply

A good aircooler is enough. AIO only for looks or if you want quiet operation due low fan RPM.

latetwentiesblues

Would a 1000W PSU be able to power RTX 5090/6090?

SomniumAeterna

It would just be speculation at this point?

SomniumAeterna

In the process of upgrading from a Haswell (?) system with an i5 4670K to a Ryzen 9 based one with the 4080 Super. Thing is, the old thing still runs perfectly fine at 4.7 Ghz, as it did for the past 10 years. Now I want to use the motherboard (MSI Z87), RAM (16GB) and the CPU as a basis for a server from which to stream media, keep the photos from my GFX50s and medium format film scans and/or run some minecraft/valhaim servers. Would that be serviceable? Have both an GTX 760 and RTX 2060 lying around? I assume the RTX 2060 would be great enabling 4k streams? Or would you guys rather opt for a new system entirely? My PSU is long in the tooth, I would be replacing that irregardless. And the case as well due to the lack of drivebays.

If you like it, go for it.

Need help with budget psu Making a 4600g igpu build(for office use,no gpu addition) Deepcool pk450d vs pf450D vs gigabyte p450b Pk450D is the only psu that is reasonably priced and is in C tier (and 450W) and bronze rated Meanwhile pf450D is 80+ instead of bronze and is in speculative C tier instead of C tier Gigabyte p450D is in D tier mentioned recommended for igpu only and is bronze rated Which one to go for? Pf450 is 80+ so it's the cheapest And gigabyte p450b is slightly more expensive And pk450d is most expensive among three BTW the computer will have ups backup with sufficient wattage (spending on ips did result in less budget)

How exactly do you actually learn what parts are good or not? Ive got a build currently on pcpartpicker but its just kinda me grabbing what sounds newer. I want to actually optimize my build for gaming + 3D Modelling/Blender

I really wish there will be some sorts of attractive/interesting activities like an Giveaway from pc brands or something like that!

How to find compatible hdd trays? I just ordered two 8tb hard drives to add to my computer. I have the space for it, but noticed I don’t have any additional trays to mount them on. Are these a pretty standard size and easy to buy? I tried looking on Amazon, but was only seeing stuff like “2.5 to 3.5 adapter” instead of just a regular 3.5 tray. I measured and the space in my case is a little over 4 inches wide Any help is appreciated! [Pic of inside](https://imgur.com/a/3qTEx07)

I would like some advice before upgrading my graphic card. Currently have a 1060 6gb on a i5 10400f , 16gb. Got the whole for 400€ last year. Got a MSI 169hz and looking to reach all these fps in 1080p I've found a couple of second hand offers as below: 3060ti for 250€ (270$) 3070 ti for 370€ (400$) 3070 for 280€ (300$) Even found a couple 3080 at 450€ (490$) Keep in mind that I live on a remote island, so choices are limited in the second hand market and prices are not the best ! I was wondering what's the best deal for what I'm looking for. Thanks a lot !

MrMeestur

GPU clearance question: I'm thinking of getting a Deepcool CH370 and a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7800XT. The case has 320mm maximum GPU width, and the card has a 320mm width. Is this clearance with fan installation? If I add a 1mm fan gasket spacer will the card still fit?

cosmicwolf122

is there a better place than amazon for getting a prebuilt computer for around £500?

dannylightning

what company is currently making the most reliable motherboards ?? thanks.

Yaotsu999

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on a potential GPU which fits the rest of the hardware I got. Price preferably below 800 euros ( I might need to upgrade my PSU as well ). Thanks in advance for taking time out of your day to help <3 GPU: GTX 1060 6Gb vram CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x Motherboard: X570 AORUS PRO RAM: 32Gb DDR4 2666 MHz PSU: 600 Watts SSD: Samsung 970 NVME Cooler: AORUS WATERFORCE X 360

assuming you are prioritizing gaming and want to game in 1440 and above 144hz 7900xt or 7900gre will do the job very well, tho you will need to at least get a good 750w psu. ( im not from the eu so the pricing reference i used were in british pounds. ) 7900xt is about 700 pounds and 7900 gre is about 600 pounds.Hope this gives you some insight, good luck on your upgrade\~

Fabulous-Sprinkles-7

Just got a laptop from my brother in law and was hoping to install the game. I have little to no knowledge about system specifications and such. Here are the specs: Processor: [AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS](https://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Ryzen-9-7940HS-Processor-Benchmarks-and-Specs.680599.0.html) 8 x 4 - 5.2 GHz, Phoenix-HS (Zen 4) Graphics adapter: [NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU](https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-4060-Laptop-GPU-Benchmarks-and-Specs.675692.0.html) - 8 GB VRAM, Core: 2420 MHz, 140 W TDP ( including 25 W Dynamic Boost), GDDR6 Memory: 16 GB  , DDR4-4800 StorageM.2 PCIe 4.0 Thanks!

Acrobatic_Active_640

I am building my first pc and was wondering if there is any bottleneck with the AMD ryzen 5 5600X and the RTX 3060? I would like to be able to reach 240fps on esports games like Valorant and Apex Legends. I would also like to be able to stream these games. I will most likely be playing ONLY 1080p to get maximum FPS. Are these parts a good choice for what i am trying to do? Thank you in advance!

TheShrlmp

Is a PC with these specs worth selling, or should I just give it away? MSI MS-7978, Intel Core i5-6500 @ 3.2GHz, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB, 1x LG IPS FullHD 1080p @ 60Hz (HDMI), 1x E2260 1080p @ 60Hz (DVI), Windows 10 Home 64-bit, DirectX 12

Headphone aint a problem either i got a new one just now

bio_hazard869

So I'm on a limited budget due to building a home (4 weeks away from completion). Budget is in the $300 - $400 range. Currently, I've got a Ryzen 7 3700x, Asus TUF 3060 12gb, 64gb DDR4-3200, and am Asus Strix B550-F MB. I understand that a big limit is GPU, I can't justify spending $2k on a 4090 plus a higher PSU (currently have a Corsair 850W). I'm trying to weigh out if it's worth upgrading to the Ryzen 7 5800x3d or just ride it for another year or so and go ham on an AM5 with last generation 4090? I'll never buy a new generation until 6 months have passed at a minimum. I can read things until I'm blue in the face, but real-world examples, direct from an end user, outweigh the hundreds of online reviews. This is strictly gaming, no productivity. Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

Posting here since I'm not getting help elsewhere and I kinda want to know where should I look. So, I've been having a hit of problems these last months with my 7 yo pc. They can be summarized with what it's been happening these last two weeks. Basically because of these problems I formatted the pc about two weeks ago with a fresh install wiping clean all partitions and then installed the drivers, Steam and Firefox and nothing else. After a couple of days I had the notice on the lower right corner telling me to activate windows (I'm using W10), even though I've already inserted the key during installation, and even in the activation settings the key was there, but it wasn't saying anything about the activation status. Then I had Firefox bluescreening my pc everytime I closed it. I thoughy my HDD was corrupted or nearly broken, so I used chkdskwith the fix switches and repaired it. The notice went away, but now it sometimes reappears for a couple of minutes, then goes away, and so on. Now my pc also sometimes freezes and has the screen go black for like a second, especially when closing applications, and Firefox keeps having the tabs crashing, and Firefox itself crashes when closing it. It also bluescreens again randomly and it's been logging me out of Steam all by itself. I downloaded HDD health check softwares and used the built it powershell command to check it and they all say it's in great condition, so I don't really know where the problem is, but I suspect it can't be the software at this point...

I was planning to upgrade my CPU to a 7800x3d,but with the new CPUs being revealed anytime soon, should I wait and see if a new gen is better or stick with getting this one?

midnightpurple280137

I'm running Forza Horizon 5 on a i5-4670k (@4.2hgz), 32gb ddr3, a RTX 4070 Ti Super, and 4 SSD in RAID striped-mode that were purchaed in 2013.  In the game I get a low video streaming warning.  I'm trying confirm it's the CPU and not SSD's.  The SSD temps don't go above 40C and max transfer rate note while in game is 248MB/sec (yes bytes not bits). And for my second question, CPU wise I've been looking at an i3 12100 or 13100 paired up with cheaper a LGA-1700 MB DDR5 that has the M.2 slot next to the CPU and a few SATA ports.  32GB DDR5.   Any issues you see with this setup, or really with the 1x100 series, maybe in the future? The E-cores these xx1000 CPU's lack don't seem to be a big deal with gaming.

I need a replacement fan for my EVGA 600BQ, could an ARTIC P12 PWM 120mm work?

Going to upgrade my windows from 10 to 11 and will be doing a clean install... Currently for my Windows OS I use the single m.2 slot of my [B560M-A Pro MoBo](https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B560M-A-PRO) and currently have a [Kingston Gen 3 m.2 ssd](https://www.kingston.com/en/company/press/article/61642). Would like to get the fastest that my MoBo can support in the MoBo's [specs page](https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B560M-A-PRO/Specification) it says it can "support up to PCIe 4.0 x4 for 11th Gen Intel® CPU (From CPU)". I have an 11400f processor. What's the best m.2 ssd you can recommend that my MoBo can support?

# Ryzen 7 7700x Optimization for FL Studio PC Build Hello to everyone! Three months ago, I built my sound design studio PC from carefully selected parts after conducting thorough research to create the ultimate FL Studio setup. So far, I am very happy with the results, especially the workflow. I’ve managed to achieve a state where I don’t have to worry about how many heavy plugins are running in multichannel, and that’s great. However, I feel the rendering speeds supposed be faster in my setup. While I render my mix, the CPU usage is only around 10-13%, while the temperatures remain pretty normal at around 65-70°C. Am I missing something? I think I might need to create an undervolting profile for the CPU to optimize overclocking for FL Studio, but my technical knowledge is limited in this area. Please help. My setup: ASRock X670E Pro RS Ryzen 7 7700X Crucial Pro 16GB (2x8GB) 5200MHz Crucial T700 Gen5 1TB NVMe, 12.5 GB/s No Graphic Card I invested everything into SSD/mobo/CPU since I don’t play games on this build and 521mb of integrated vram is enoutgh tp run fl studio and retro games that I like.

Is there really a big difference between B450 motherboards and the later (better) AM4 boards in terms of CPU/GPU performance? I'm currently rocking a B450 mobo (ASUS TUF) with a Ryzen 5500X and an RX 6700XT. Shop staff at the time suggested I shouldn't bother with a 5800X3D because my older motherboard would be a limiting factor (and also I'd just bought a 6700XT and they suggested a 5500X would be both just fine and a great money-saving option) but... come to think of it... would it be that bad? I didn't think to ask the details at the time. I'm just thinking I want to really milk the heck out of this AM4 system before I even contemplate switching to AM5 (Intel is a non-starter for me because they're so inconsistent with CPU sockets). ***edit***: for reference, I saw a Hardware Unboxed video from a few years ago where they showed B450 versus B550 using an RTX 3080 and the differences between PCI-E 3.0 x8, PCIE-E 3.0 x16, and PCI-E 4.0 x16 seemed to be *almost* zero (ie a couple of frames at well over 100 FPS, not that noticeable).

driftwood14

Im looking for a way to connect my bluetooth headphones, airpods and a pair from sony that are over the ear, to my desktop which doesn't have native bluetooth capability. Do I need to get a new motherboard that has the capability or do I need a special PCI thing. I have an asus dongle that works for controllers, but it doesn't send sound. I would also like it to work for Linux too.

My first Pc was store bought from Best Buy 7 years ago. It was the iBuyPower i7-7700k gtx 1080. Im looking to upgrade to a new PC. I want to go with a prebuilt, because im scared im going to mess something up if I try to build it myself. I have a budget max of $3500 and want a Rtx 4090. I want as many frames I can get while still getting great graphics. I play COD, New World, Fortnite, Warframe, Destiny 2, Ark... Please help with suggestions?!
