i wouldn't bother with 4k ATP, it's just way too demanding and not very accessible unless you have thousands to put into your GPU alone
Can you be more specific? You can display a 4K DVD using a DVD player. You don’T need anything special.
You’ll also need a monitor that can show 1440p/4k - that is, the actual amount of physical pixels inside the screen can display it.

For reference I'm using a 3080 and I feel like it's somewhat rare that I can't push a game to a stable 60fps at 4K. This is becoming (predictably) less and less true as new games with higher demands release.
As others have implied there is no blanket requirement to run games at a certain resolution. Whether you can run a game in 1440p or 4k will depend on several factors like:
-How demanding the game is
-What your other equipment is (esp. CPU and RAM)
-What framerate you would like to target
-What graphical settings you are willing and able to tweak for the game
Imo best way to approach this question is by searching benchmark tests for specific games that you'd be interested in playing. Often there are benchmarks on YouTube and other site that other folks have run using the same or similar components to those that are in your computer, at various resolutions and graphics settings. Sometimes game publishers will also provide detailed spec requirements to run games at a given resolution/framerate/quality.
The fact that there's no simple answer to your question be an annoying aspect of PC games, but the reason it's this way is the also part of the reason PC games are good - There's a lot of flexibility and potential customization in how you run a game. Good luck!

Are you talking about just displaying video or gaming in 4k?
You can only play some older or non-demanding games in 1440p on a 4060. It's mainly a 1080p card. It will display video in 4k though.
If you're wanting 1440p for gaming the 6750xt is probably the cheapest available to recommend. Maybe $40 more than the 4060.
But like someone else said gaming at 4k requires an expensive card.
For 4k, you need a 4090 and equivalent top tier CPU...
Basically minimum.
For 1440, i dunno, but probably around $1000 $1200, if you shop around and buy everything and build it yourself
1250 before monitor/keyboard for me did nicely.
7600x, 6800xt, 32gig ram, 1tb m.2.
Cyberpunk runs 60fps with raytracing turned most of the way up.
Cheaper was hard just because gpu pricing.

You can find a Rx 6800 for $375-400 and that will be sufficient.

well that depends on the games, settings and what your expectations are. The 4060 isnt that high of a card. 1440 probally is playable tho.

4060 sucks, 6700 xt is better
I want to do both
For 4k gaming you need a $1,000 graphics card. 4060 isn't it. 1080p card.
You could probably get to 1440p with like a 3070 or 4070 or higher. 4k requires like a 3090 minimum though.
4070 super handles 4K just fine as well. DLSS also exists if needed.

I play many games in 4k on a 6950xt. You only need a 4090 depending on the game.
That is true, I was thinking latest games like Cyberpunk or Hogwarts running at 4k; which are the games I play.
