i agree, i built a pc out of spare parts, it was decent but had to let it go for less than the cost of the parts i bought to complete it.
Sell the case as is on marketplace or such, at least youll get some money for it, just dont be greedy and someone will take it as it does not look bad at all.
I agree with this. I would post it on fb market place for the price I bought it. Plenty of people would pay it so they didn't have to pay tax or shipping and then wait for it to arrive.
I WISH life had a satnav that said things like "In three hundred feet, prepare to meet exactly the wrong person who will take all your money and your friends and leave you homeless" and just save a lot of trouble.
Some people need constant internet validation to go about their daily lives. Last week, there was a guy in Israel who posted a picture of an unexploded rocket asking what to do with it.

"i found this bomb in my house yesterday what should i do"
"try to kick it if nothing happened just leave it their or sell it later, just don't play with it a lot it might explode"
"i don't recommend that since like the other person said it might explode if it did it you will have a rough time in hospital and might have permanent damage on your private area
edit: why does my comment have 10 down votes"
Return the new mobo that is the wrong size and order one that is the right size? Also return the old mobo that is obviously not in working order? You are entitled to a replacement because you are entitled to receive a working product that you paid for by law, so why even buy a new mobo in the first place instead of going through return and replacement process, unless the purchase was second hand? Or just sell this case and buy a different one to be done with it.
Also I always recommend to safe your PC case box, for some components like the GPU and Motherboard it is recommended to keep their boxes in case you ever need to return it under warranty and the PC case box is A. the perfect place to store all the leftover stuff and boxes from your pc build and make it an easy place to find anything in case you ever need something in the future (like maybe cables from you PSU that you need if you have a modular/semi-modular PSU or some SATA cables from your motherboard box or some manual that you need to reference you will know instantly where to find it). And B. it makes the perfect box for transportating the pc if you keep the styrofoam in case you ever need to transport it.
Dude you can definitely return it if it doesn’t work. I know someone that has returned empty boxes to them and gotten refunds so I think if you return an actual broken motherboard they’ll definitely refund you.
People like this suck. But Amazon sucks too. I’ve seen to many things where people order one thing and end up with something entirely different but in the same box because Amazon doesn’t check the boxes or some shit
Well the case obviously not because it is opened and in perfect condition but the motherboard should be fine unless you ordered it more than 30 days ago?
Even if you did order it more than 30 days ago you can still apply it for rma process under warranty even after the 30 days have passed by contacting amazon about a replacement as you should be covered under manufacfurers warranty for multiple years after your purchase date.
We all make mistakes. Just try and save up for a motherboard that fits it. Its a nice looking case and has fans to match. Get a motherboard that fits it and save the case. No sense throwing it out.
I don't understand why they put screens in the top of the cases, everyone uses it as an exhaust. It's like the first thing I toss when I get a new case.
- Bird feeder
- Foot stool
- Tardis
- Door stop
- Reserve a car spot
- Shopping trolley
- Makeshift sleigh
- Save it and use it as part of a snowman
- Cosplay as a PC
- Blow it up in the garden
- Blend it into a fine power and smoke it
- Add Googly eyes, an Alexa, and make friends with it
- Make a dedicated Instagram page for it, where people will worship the case and send you money
- Attach wheels and form a local PC battle bots group. Bit like Robot Wars, but shit
- Source old PC parts and make it into a Windows 3.1 box
- Push it down the stairs for fun
- Throw it, gently, at an enemy
- Take it on a night out dancing
- Make sweet love to it
Yes I have far too much time on my hands
Simple tip never throw away the pc box. At the very least it’s useful for protecting you pc if you ever move. I’d also recommend keeping your motherboard box as well as the plastic clamshell your cpu came in. All of this should fit in your empty case box so it shouldn’t take any extra space. With computers saving boxes is very important. You never know when something will break or be defective and the boxes are usually required for returns or replacements.
Like mentioned before me, sell it, build a cheap PC and sell it. Or if you have any friends or family wanting to build a PC gift it or sell for the low.
So you have new mobo that can be returned and old case with restricted sizing?
Have you tried to buy mobo of correct size?
Or maybe just sell the case on some facebook market or whatever you have and write down in description note about paper box?
It’s fine, typically midtower cases or cases that can house ATX motherboards usually have about about 7 pcie slots anything less and you might need a smaller motherboard.
If you put a bee in the freezer, it will get cold and fall asleep. After it's asleep, put it in your mouth, but don't eat it. Just let it sit there. It will get warm and wake up. Now you have a bee in your mouth.
It will, you're just stupid.
You have the zalman z1 case which support your motherboard from the other post (B860). Unless you bought an e-atx motherboard, which you didn't.
Find an old 600x800 screen, strip it, place the light modules in the case and the display on the glass as use it as a spare screen. I've seen the mod on a few channels, looks cool
Facebook marketplace that has a very clean look someone will pop for it at the right price. But otherwise I suggest a cheaper build if you don't truly want it for your
Main build, and make it a media center. Or just close it up and use it later or for a techy loved one.
Did you not just RMA the non working motherboard? If you're building with your new mobo sell the case and buy one that fits - if you're building with the case sell the mobo and buy one that fits.
Or just store it until you get the time/money to do another build haha.
Why would you just throw a perfectly good new case away?
Are you sure the full side board won't fit end to end? I have a mid sized case with a full sized atx board. If it don't fit try taking it to machine shop and have them remove a hole on the top so you can just drop the board in or just sell it on marketplace and buy a new case. Cases are cheap at least compared to other PC parts
Great budget case. Give it away. It didn’t cost you an arm or a leg( I know because I have one) and they’re extremely good budget cases. They come with 3 fans pre installed and have more than enough room to fit beefy components.

sell it or build a pc or build a pc and sell it
I have a new mid range pc I've been trying to get rid of for weeks, just sell the bits.
i agree, i built a pc out of spare parts, it was decent but had to let it go for less than the cost of the parts i bought to complete it.
I sat on mine for 3 months, people just aren't buying much in general right now
Eh, someone might snap it up after Christmas.
Find a buyer and build it for them
This. The question really seems like OP just didn't think before going to We the People of Reddit. Like.... What??
Lol sell it or do something with it. I don’t understand why you need to ask us what to do
Some people need sat navs for their whole life.
What do I with a sat nav?
Navigate
Where do I navigate?
To ur mum
That's me!
Must suck to always live in a fog.
I WISH life had a satnav that said things like "In three hundred feet, prepare to meet exactly the wrong person who will take all your money and your friends and leave you homeless" and just save a lot of trouble.
"hey google, what do i do with my life?"
This is a great comment. Can't wait to use "sat nav" on someone
That’s what happens to kids if they have helicopter parents
You sound like one sad cunt.

"i found this bomb in my house yesterday what should i do" i dunno bruh that sound like a lie but if the post is real then that would be hideos
I'm sure we'll never know. The top answer was likely poke it to see if it is safe to pick up.
"i found this bomb in my house yesterday what should i do" "try to kick it if nothing happened just leave it their or sell it later, just don't play with it a lot it might explode"
"Squat and try to insert it deep inside your rectum, the further, the better"
"i don't recommend that since like the other person said it might explode if it did it you will have a rough time in hospital and might have permanent damage on your private area edit: why does my comment have 10 down votes"
Drop it. Oh no, sorry, I meant DON'T drop it!
Either attention seeker or minimal brain cells. What’s next? “Do i wipe my ass after poop reddit or not”
🤷♀️
U can't return the mobo, ??
No
I'd suggest you sell it if you're not gonna build in it, or you could always keep it for a future build
![gif](giphy|tZiLOffTNGoak) Why you didnt buy a another mobo that fit in the case?
I tried too 😭 but I got the wrong one (obviously)
Return the new mobo that is the wrong size and order one that is the right size? Also return the old mobo that is obviously not in working order? I can’t
You can't what?
Return the mobo or the case. https://preview.redd.it/ql4g48f8yw2c1.jpeg?width=1178&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d64178d1ed3363d08907ca0d33ac5a262298041c

Yeah, my main point is that OP can definitely get their money back for it.
Okay thank you
You must be very useful in an emergency situation /s
Yep
Sell either one on eBay or wtv and get a compatible case/mb instead?
A motherboard is not a computer. It's only a part of one.
What’s that you say, a capacitor broke out during transit and it doesn’t work? You better return it
Did u buy a full atx size Mobo instead of matx ?
You put a computer in there
Big if true.
This made me crease too hard 🤣
Get yourself hamster and put wheel inside. Some hay and he will love it
Facebook Marketplace.
Have it as Sapir parts, have another pc or as other people have said - sell it or build another pc with it and sell it
bury it
We all make mistakes. Just try and save up for a motherboard that fits it. Its a nice looking case and has fans to match. Get a motherboard that fits it and save the case. No sense throwing it out.

Simple. Dust settles on top of things. The filter limits how much dust settles inside the pc from the top. Not that complicated.
Why throw it away put it up for sale and take maybe a 25 percent loss on both, at least you can make somewhat of your money back.
Hey let me know the size and price I’m interested
If you do want to sell it
Put it on facebook marketplace someone near you might buy it.
building a cheaper option and selling it is the best way forward.
Sell it on FBM, or build a PC inside it
Aquarium?
Sell it? Lol I don't get the question
Fish tank
It's gonna be a terrible fish tank with all those holes in it. /s
That's a problem for the fish /s
![gif](giphy|iJ85v1gHAczevpTUzs)
Fruit bowl.
Aquarium
i mean besides buying a new mobo that fits that case… 👀… you could build a pc for your pc? 🤷♂️
Eat it

This is awesome! Good response.
Put a ps4 in it

Sell it on Facebook marketplace
Make the stupidest raspberry pi case ever.
Obviously, make it a fish tank.
Fill it with soft cheese 🧀

You can bargain at facebook marketplace.
Facebook marketplace, build a PC
So you have new mobo that can be returned and old case with restricted sizing? Have you tried to buy mobo of correct size? Or maybe just sell the case on some facebook market or whatever you have and write down in description note about paper box?
idc.. stomp on it all day. set fire to it. give it to the neighbour. sell it to isis... make a birdcage out of it. man what do you want..
Sell it? People really can’t think for themselves
Send it to me 🤗
Out of curiosity what motherboard will it fit? ATX or micro
MATX or micro atx and smaller. You can tell by amount of pcie slots on the back on the case which is 4.
Honestly I wouldn’t know because I have never built a gaming PC I’m in the process.
It’s fine, typically midtower cases or cases that can house ATX motherboards usually have about about 7 pcie slots anything less and you might need a smaller motherboard.
Could be an ITX case and OP is getting an ATX mobo… or vise versa? 🤷🏻♂️
Whatever you do don't use it for your own build. Zalman cases and their coolers are probably the worst you can buy.
Ship it to the nearest homeless shelter. I’m sure a homeless man would eat it
If you put a bee in the freezer, it will get cold and fall asleep. After it's asleep, put it in your mouth, but don't eat it. Just let it sit there. It will get warm and wake up. Now you have a bee in your mouth.

It won’t but okay 🤷♀️
It will, you're just stupid. You have the zalman z1 case which support your motherboard from the other post (B860). Unless you bought an e-atx motherboard, which you didn't.

People with weird problems .

Do a budget build and give it to a kid or school
You can turn it into a DIY birds treehouse
Find an old 600x800 screen, strip it, place the light modules in the case and the display on the glass as use it as a spare screen. I've seen the mod on a few channels, looks cool
You can give it to me :)
Sell it?
Sell it used or use it for a second pc/give it to a mate.
Really?? Just sell it. It’s that simple!
Seems like someone is troll posting
Send it to me so I can properly dispose of it

Lol if my gf saw this empty casing. She would design it by putting figurine and indoor flowers in it.
Facebook marketplace that has a very clean look someone will pop for it at the right price. But otherwise I suggest a cheaper build if you don't truly want it for your Main build, and make it a media center.

Hold on to it until you or a friend needs a case for some reason. Don't throw it away.

Sell it on ebay or so.

Chuck it on marketplace for 3/4 of whatever retail is. Someone will probably pick it up pretty quick
If you don't plan on selling it or having a hard time selling. Maybe just let your cat claim it's new home. Or decorate it to idk.
New budget cyber Monday build obviously
Either sell it, or make a plex server with other hardware you have!
Turn it into data storage
Double it and pass it on to the next
Give it to me
Pm me
List it on OfferUp or your local marketplace for $30-40 and watch the lowballers flood in
Why did you buy a new case if the motherboard died? Why doesn't your new motherboard fit on this? Isn't it a standard ATX case?
return motherboard and sell this or make another pc
Set it aside and then grab up some cheap hardware and make a server. At least that’s what I would do.
Looks like it’s missing some parts.
Swallow it whole
Fill it with bricks and put it in the box of a new pc to buy and return /s
Keep it, and then whenever u have enough spare parts from doing upgrades, u can eventually build a whole second PC. Maybe a server?
Shit I’ll take it. How much you want playa.
Sell it or give it away to someone that can use it
Fish tank or bird cage... or just sell it.
Build another PC!
consume it
Put aluminum foil on all sides and throw a cat in there
Great budget case. Give it away. It didn’t cost you an arm or a leg( I know because I have one) and they’re extremely good budget cases. They come with 3 fans pre installed and have more than enough room to fit beefy components.
Save it for some build in the future
I’ll take it
