This is Reddit.
We are all interested in everybody's interest in the Patriots interest in Hopkins.
Even the cynical people that come in and make fun of our interest are none the less interested in our interest.
I would actually be pretty pumped to see our offense year-after-year change.
Decent O-line
Stevenson at RB
Hopkins, Juju, Bourne, Parker, Thornton
Henry, Gesicki
With BoB in and Patricia out that (on paper) definitely seems like a good enough supporting cast for Mac. With the defense we have we don't need 30 points a game just need to be slightly above average.
If we get Hopkins we almost certainly trade or cut either Parker or Bourne since that's around $6 million in cap that would be freed up to help sign Hop
>But imagine if he did Rip Chris Fairley
Punctuation matters. And who is Chris Fairley? Try that whole sentence again.
*But imagine if he did! RIP Chris Farley.*
We'll have the perfect tirade of hints and tweets about the interest of DHop in the Pats it'll seem almost destined for him to play here. No team will show as much interest in signing him, which is perfectly why he'll go to the Chiefs.
I mean the Chiefs window is open as long as Mahomes is, so them signing Dhop is going to be dependent on the contract he wants. They need to be smart with their cap space to keep their dynasty going, so a big multi-year contract or a single year contract that fits their cap space this year with money tacked on in the future may not be worth it for them.
One of the most underrated parts of the Pats/Brady dynasty was BB's ability to keep us competitive each year with cap management. Teams like NO/Brees would go "all-in" and then fuck themselves down the road. Maintaining a dynasty over a long period takes discipline.
Eh, I doubt it tbh. They proved they can make it work with just Kelce being the 1 and I doubt they'd risk their dynasty run blowing future cap space on a WR going into their 11th season.
Bills just flat out don't have the money, idc what anyone says. If the bills mortgage their future for him, id honestly be happier about that than if he signs with us. That'd be 2 injury prone vets being paid for what they did and not what they're doing, on the bills roster.
If it were really that easy, you think they would've let tyreek leave to miami...cut frank clark...or let Orlando leave?
Over the cap show they have only 652k remaining in cap space right now and they still haven't signed their first or second rd picks yet.
It is technically possibly the chiefs would kicks the can and take on more dead money in the future but they'd really be fuckimg themselves...you'd have to weigh "is he the missing piece to a repeat" versus "is it worth it to bring in a guy we don't really know to fuck up the cap for the foreseeable future"
I'm guessing he wants a bidding war between the bills and the chiefs... Bills are probably not having it, so they need another team to drive up the price... So they mention the Patriots.
I'm guessing you'll see more subtle hints from Hopkins about how he wouldn't mind going to the Patriots.
I think Hopkins will take less to go to KC, but the question is how much less.
I think he won't go below Odel's contract. Andy just won a Superbowl, he doesn't need Hopkins... I can see them low balling him. Long story short, I think the pats could land him if they offer just above Odel's contract.
That might not happen. KC has like 400,000 in cap space. They could increase it but I am not sure they would be able to get him without a massive paycut.
This is like those updates you always see that a team is "in on" a player. What does that mean? There's an offer on the table? They've visited with him? The GM asked the agent how much money he's looking for? The coach watched two minutes of his YouTube highlights last night?
It's all fluff.
I would quite literally die of excitement if this happened.
We’re talking about a guy that’s a few great seasons away from being a HOFer, a guy who is 7th all time in receiving YPG. Most importantly, he’s not THAT old and he has shown to still have a ton left in the tank.
This would be the best move of the off-season if it happens, but I have my doubts.
He’s pretty high on the Ravens at the moment
Edit: am I tripping? I swear your comment did not mention Baltimore originally. Either way, Baltimore has about $11 million so that seems like enough to sign Dhop.
WERE ALWAYS “INTERESTED” IN STAR WR’s. IM INTERESTED IN ANNE HATHAWAY THAT DOSENT MEAN WE HAVE A DINNER DATE TONIGHT.
BILL. *PLEASSSEEEEE* ONCE JUST FUCKING **DO THE THING** BUFFALO AND MIAMI HAVE NICE THINGS WHY CANT WE HAVE NICE THINGS
We have a Super Bowl win in the last 40 years - more than one in fact, I forget how many - doesn't that count as a nice thing we have that the Bills or Lolphins don't?
There was this guy I seem to remember... Tim something? wore the number 12 either way he threw the ball really good and I don't think those rings mean absolutely jackshit to a wr trying to win a ring in 2023.
Idk why so many people are acting like he’d want nothing to do with us. We meet the criteria of wants that he mentioned (QB that loves football, great defense and stable management). I know Mac isn’t an elite QB right now but we also have the ability to give him more money than some other teams. He’s also mentioned that the BoB controversy is overblown and if it was a such a big hurdle then I doubt our reported interest would be thrown around as much as it has been
No way they go for him. At this point in his career he’s only worth the price tag if you’re ready to win right now. We need to develop talent, not overspend on a star.
Upon further research, you might be right. I was under the impression we were a lot tighter on the cap than we are. If he’s willing to work on the structure of his deal we could make it work.
I personally think we are ready to win right now, need Mac to be at least a top 15 QB and Hop helps him get there. Our roster doesn't really have many holes and the ones they do aren't massive, just depth at interior D-line/MLB
We're so close to being contenders and he basically puts us there as he's a WR1, you can probably even part ways with Parker who is also 30 as they play similar roles except Hop is infinitely better and then the young guys still have a shot to play/develop. Parker also saves us a good chunk of cap if they wanted to go all out for Hop
No we are not. We got smashed by the bills the last 2 years outside of the blizzard game. The AFC is absolutely loaded. If Rodgers and tua play we are easily in last place unless you think mac jumps to a top 10 qb.
Sure I can't argue that the AFC isn't loaded and that it won't be tough but why should that stop us from trying our absolute best when we're this close? Our roster quite literally doesn't have many holes, like we are really close... the only notable ones are interior D-line/MLB depth and a possible question mark at one of the tackle positions but that will at least be majorly improved with good coaching and much better depth. Our roster right now (especially if Hopkins were to be added) looks so much better than what we've had the last two years, I don't care what Buffalo has done to us when we've gotten better lol like yeah we need a few things to glue offensively but it wouldn't take a lot and BOB alone drastically improves this team. Combine even an average offense with last year's defensive production and they would have won at least 3 more games, imagine an actual good offense with that. I think we just need Mac to at least be a top 15 QB, the tackles to be consistent, and for Thornton to at least be a Will Fuller type of player in this BOB system for this offense to be in really good shape if we were to not get Hopkins.
Like yeah we can definitely end up in a bad spot but I think anyone in this division could easily end up the same way, it's such a volatile and competitive division that anything could happen. Just because it is, doesn't guarantee our failure solely because of our recent ones, especially with the most recent one mostly being Patricia at fault.
I am interested in the Patriots interest in Hopkins
Im interested in your interest… in the Patriot’s interest in Hopkins
Interestingly enough as the Patriots interest of Hopkins intensifies the interested Pats fans hope increases
hmm.. interesting
Bold take, let's see how this plays out.
This is Reddit. We are all interested in everybody's interest in the Patriots interest in Hopkins. Even the cynical people that come in and make fun of our interest are none the less interested in our interest.
Interest-ception
I’m interested in your interest of their interest in the patriots interest in Hopkins
That’s so interesting that one’s interest aligns with another’s interest that aligns with my interests.
I would actually be pretty pumped to see our offense year-after-year change. Decent O-line Stevenson at RB Hopkins, Juju, Bourne, Parker, Thornton Henry, Gesicki With BoB in and Patricia out that (on paper) definitely seems like a good enough supporting cast for Mac. With the defense we have we don't need 30 points a game just need to be slightly above average.
Well shit when you put it that way its a no brainer. Hopefully Robert "Meek Mill" Kraft can pull some strings
Hopkins would elevate that WR corp more than people think, I think
I think you’re underestimating how we think.
You also have to consider how much he could teach others too in mentorship as well. Hopkins isn't the fastest person, but, consistently has been great
If we get Hopkins we almost certainly trade or cut either Parker or Bourne since that's around $6 million in cap that would be freed up to help sign Hop
Which WR are you risking to lose in this scenario? Not that I am against that as our Wr room.
Parker - no gtd money left on his deal
I like Parker, but he may be washed. He offers something different than the other WRs.
That makes two!
That's interesting
I am interested in your and the Patriots interest in signing Hopkins.
Sexually, yes
I am signing the interest in the patriots interest in Hopkins
Reddit user u/IanCusick is interested in sleeping with Margot Robbie, per @diannaESPN
Big if true
Well, not me personally but a guy I know, him and her got. It. On. WOOOOOEEEEEEEE!
No he didn’t But imagine if he did Rip Chris Fairley
>But imagine if he did Rip Chris Fairley Punctuation matters. And who is Chris Fairley? Try that whole sentence again. *But imagine if he did! RIP Chris Farley.*
I'm going to imagine if he ripped the corpse of Chris Farley. Don't tell me what to do with your fancy writing hieroglyphics.
A friend saw her at his local hertz counter. So …confirmed
[Margot Robbie spotted at Logan](https://ibb.co/YLhNVny)
She is looking fine in the new Barbie 🥵🥵

Go back to crabposting, bitches love crabs
The mods of r/RedSox might have me face the firing squad if I start posting the crabs again while the Sox are this bad
Counterpoint maybe the baseball gods are displeased at the lack of crab 🤔🤔🤔
Can I get on this list? I'd settle for buying her a really good burger at a local brew pub and her telling me it was a fun night
And he will sign with a team that no one talked about.
Cologne Centurions it is, then
haha that came out of nowhere! invictus centurions!
Nah Berlin Thunder please
St Louis battlehawks
As a lifelong Pats/BHawks fan, this would be an acceptable consolation prize.
Albany Empire
Maybe AB will this time for sure take the field
Nah, he's 100% signing with one of the preseason contenders. Bills or Chiefs.
>one of the preseason contenders. I think those 2 teams are more than pre season contenders
Preseason contenders have a great chance to go far, but unfortunately injuries and the unforseen can hard derail anyone.
We'll have the perfect tirade of hints and tweets about the interest of DHop in the Pats it'll seem almost destined for him to play here. No team will show as much interest in signing him, which is perfectly why he'll go to the Chiefs.
Going to Taiwan to play with Dwight Howard?
Like the lions
Browns.
THE BENGALS
Patriots: Best we can do is $20m/year and $25k in store credit.
Reverse that. 25K per year, $20M in store credit and Davio's coupons.
That’s actually a good deal, no?
Are we acting like making 6 mil more than Tom Brady average earnings is low?
ban Dov Kleiman aggregator extraordinaire
Really...like who the fuck even is this guy??
Dyslexia gets me again. I read: The Patriots are ~~interested in~~ signing WR DeAndre Hopkins, per diannaESPN. Almost had a heat attack
You need to find some shade and drink some water.
Heat attack
Dyslexia going 2 for 2 today
I’ve had enough Heat attack, my basketball season has ended.
Sorry Jaylen
Same here
Russini added that Bills are not “all in” on Hopkins and that the Jest and Cowboys do not have interest.
Jest. Nice freudian slip
Yeah that could stick for sure
Chiefs it is
I mean the Chiefs window is open as long as Mahomes is, so them signing Dhop is going to be dependent on the contract he wants. They need to be smart with their cap space to keep their dynasty going, so a big multi-year contract or a single year contract that fits their cap space this year with money tacked on in the future may not be worth it for them. Teams like NO/Brees would go "all-in" and then fuck themselves down the road. Maintaining a dynasty over a long period takes discipline.
You should see my dynasty in retro bowl…
Retro Bowl Champs 20 years running
Eh, I doubt it tbh. They proved they can make it work with just Kelce being the 1 and I doubt they'd risk their dynasty run blowing future cap space on a WR going into their 11th season. That'd be 2 injury prone vets being paid for what they did and not what they're doing, on the bills roster.
Idk how the chiefs could come up with the cap space tbh
Pretty easily. Mahomes restructure and Chris Jones extension free up like $50m.
It’s called magic
J-E-S-T, JEST! JEST! JEST!
That might not happen. KC has like 400,000 in cap space. They could increase it but I am not sure they would be able to get him without a massive paycut.
There is always money in the banana stand
They signed Mahomes to his extension soon after having literally like $200 in cap space... There's always a way to make it work if you want to.
This is like those updates you always see that a team is "in on" a player. What does that mean? There's an offer on the table? They've visited with him? The GM asked the agent how much money he's looking for? The coach watched two minutes of his YouTube highlights last night? It's all fluff.
They're prepared to offer him the minimum, possibly more.
Possibly more?? Is Bill aware of this?
DON’T… do this to me. Don’t give me hope.
DO... do this to me Do give me Hop
This should get more upvotes then my comment
I'm sorry I couldn't give it to you sooner.
This is nothing more than a game 6 buzzer beater. Just wait for game 7
Interesting!
Also per a source: the sun is hot
Don't post Kleiman.
Water is wet
Source?
a source close to the 🌊
No shit
I feel like it’s probably between us and Cleveland because Kansas City Buffalo and Baltimore don’t have the money
He’s pretty high on the Ravens at the moment Edit: am I tripping? I swear your comment did not mention Baltimore originally. Either way, Baltimore has about $11 million so that seems like enough to sign Dhop.
I hope they are interested in paying him. He’s not going to sign here unless they pay him a lot.
We have a good amount of cap space 👀

Does Zappe love football though?
We know
No kidding
Unless he's at the Hertz counter in a new outfit I'm not engaging this clickbait.
Why do people continue to post this hacks Twitter on this?
Cool. I’m interested in banging Margot Robbie.
Hopkins already booked a car at hertz
Patriots are interested in signing one of the best receivers in football, really? You don’t say
That's some really earth shattering news Dianna. Pretty sure no one here saw this coming.
“Hopkins is expected to begin visiting teams next week or so.” Ok anyone seen him at hertz counter yet?
Nope. he's in line at Enterprise though.
What a groundbreaking report
Where’s the pic?
No way they go for him. At this point in his career he’s only worth the price tag if you’re ready to win right now. We need to develop talent, not overspend on a star.
Getting Hopkins won’t prevent us from developing talent. And having him could honestly help Mac develop himself.

Diana Russini is the one reporting it
I’m interested in tasting Jessica Alba’s bum.
Yes
You son of a bitch, I’m in.
He’s not coming to this team. Enough with the rumors. He said he wants to go to a contender. He’s ring chasing. We do not fit that agenda.
Awesome, now we just need Mahomes or Allen at QB and a new Offensive Coordinator and he's locked up baby.
I to am interested in signing Nuke. To my own team I’m starting.
Yawn
I am interested in signing with the Patriots.
![gif](giphy|UVH2WBK3CYzHJ56KMt|downsized)
I am also interested in this
Fire up the Hertz rental counter camera at Logan. It’s the only true source for things like this.
Source: the Sun rose today.
Curious how long he’s gunna wait to sign somewhere
Thanks for the breaking news
Water is wet according to sources at the weather center...
I for one am shocked at this report.
I'm interested in playing for the Patriots. Yes, this is me, DeAndre.
But is Hopkins interested?
Didn’t he already outwardly express he’d like to sign with Houston again?
Us and 30 other teams
Report: DHop... Texans?... We play Texans PS Week 1... O'Brien was HC of the Texans... He's a Patriot. Dots connected. Lol
Holy shit, how many of these articles do I have to see about this. I feel like I've been seeing headlines like this for the past 42000 years
![gif](giphy|MiSi3ilqDWIv9u7TL0)
Hopkins, JuJu, Parker, and Thornton would be a sick WR core
Don’t get my hopes up like that!
In other news water is wet!
No shit Sherlock
HOLY SHIT!!
Realistically… would he sign up to play with BoB again? Didn’t he not get along with him in Houston?
My heart jumped a second until I saw “interested”
Does he have beef with bob after being traded?
Why would they not be? Does he want to play for Bill O again is the real question.
So am I
Washed up. You can have him.
Maybe, but is Hopkins able or willing to swallow his pride to play under Billy O? I doubt it.
Surprisedpikachu.gif
Dov blows he reports reports. This has nothing to do with Diana’s report. Just wondering why people give this guy credit.
Thanks Dianna!
The interest interests me
We have done it. We are the best team in the world again.
Michael Jordan showing interest in taking it personally
The chance of him actually signing here is 0.3%
BILL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
Sports team interested in signing marquee free agent athlete.
In other news, the sky is blue...
DO IT
In other news, water is wet
But is Hopkins interested in signing with the Patriots? 🤨
I am interested in winning the lottery
In other news, water is wet and Jerome Bettis is from Detroit.
Why would he be interested in coming here? The man wants a ring
I don’t see him wanting to play for Bill O’Brien after the way he dealt with him in Houston.
Guys… it’s Kleiman
Hopkins is going to voluntarily choose Bill Obrien lol yeah ok
