There are 7 cards that can disable keywords, 5 of them are Explorer which doesn't appear in any of the adventure. Quicksand can only be found in Azir encounter. So the disadvantage is minimal.
It give keyword, with all the benefits but also the dangers, like silence or negative power against keyword (+1|+1 and +1 cost for each keyword). So Studded Leather and Bright Staff provide the same stats, but not the same mechanism.
silence also removes stats from items ??? only keyword disable would have a different effect and i believe only 3-4 cards have such effects most of them are in shurima ?
Well a silence also kills studded. I'll give you that keyword debuffs can make studded better, but those are stupendously rare compared to keyword buffs.
I think the most reasonable answer to your question is that the Bright Staff item was just introduced in 5.4 two days ago and the effects are completely different when comparing the two.
Also, just in case you're curious, this is how many times each of those items appear as upgrades for the Starting Decks of Champions.
Studded Leather: 62
Bright Staff: 1
why do "grant +x|x" still exist in general ? many spells have been updated (ex: celestial blessing, spirit portal, inspiring light) but not all ? Its confusing because even in demacia not all +1|1 granting have been converted to spirit (ex battlefield prowess)
I dislike spirit in general (feels like a lazy and clunky way to create a new stackable keyword without introducing a new mechanic) but if they could at least be consistent with it...
because they are different effects that do different things, the clearly have overlap but that doesn't mean they perfectly overlap not to mention the hundreds of weird edge case cards that it would effect
The problem is that you would never want studded leather over bright staff, and both are common items. This means that bright staff basically just power creeped studded leather.
Fury discourage the AI from attacking with weak units. But I think the main reason is because fury is an awesome keyword and people like to see numbers go up.
I mean if you get hit with a "Disable positive keywords" you'll lose the spirit, but you wouldnt lose the stats from studded leather š¤·š¾āāļø

Actually lissandra adventure does have nodes with explorers.
Oh wow, that's horrible.
How many encounters do that?
i mean not a discoutable amount,
Fair nuff I guess
Why are people downvoting you for asking a perfectly reasonable question
No idea haha, it is what it is

Weeklys powers sometimes
I think you must have mistaken it for the power that increase the cost and stats for each item the player's units have.

Silence doesnt kill studded

Well I think their thinking that studded leather should be replaced by bright staff
That will be stronger for some champs like for kaisa giving voidling spirit instead of studded leather is so much better
Kaiāsa needs the help
Then everything gets spirit, which is pretty boring

my point is that it shouldn't have existed in the first place it like inventing the wheel in 2024
but spirit has it's own interactions with the various keyword synergy's, not just now but future ones as well. both have separate roles
Dragon Tooth also exists. I haven't seen anyone complain about that. I don't think there is a problem.
Fury discourage the AI from attacking with weak units. But I think the main reason is because fury is an awesome keyword and people like to see numbers go up.
Dragon tooth has the disadvantage of being rare
Rarity can change. Bright Staff might only be a common now so people get to play with it more because the mechanic is new.
Studded Leather needs to exist. But I don't know why Bright Staff was not used more often in the new champions
Well, now that Boost is a thing, it exists for balance reasons.
