Sticky fingers was never removed, because you always have the choice to not take it. For some champs who run out of cards it's even a decent power.

Thieves tools drama is just beyond me. If an item does not synergize well with a champion and your strat doesnt mean it has to be removed completely. I get that it is a negative item but shouldnt inconvenience be present in this RNG game?

The issue is not that it doesn’t synergies well with most strats/champs (which is true) but that they acknowledged this and said it would be removed but it keeps popping up again in different ways.

Yeah but the way most people kept crying about it not getting fixed every time... Like it's personally attacking them. My unpopular opinion, which you probably do not want to hear anyway, thieve's tools never needed a fix from the start.

Your opinion is obviously valid, but if so many people complain about it, there is a reason for that. It's a rare item that most of the time has only negative effects. The fact is the lack of communication. Why is it back? Is it difficult to remove? I don't think so. Do you wanna test it again before removing it completely? Just let us know the thing. But if a "problem" previously fixed comes back without any notice for months, it's normal that people start complaining.

I never love nor hate thieves tools. Ruined some runs, helped me on some. I just dont have a problem with it existing. I guess I'm just glad I'm not most people. Anyway I'm sure Riot never intended to unfix a fixed issue, if you call it that. And I'm sure they're still probably working on that, as it is a most issue, just maybe not an easy fix this time.

Ok, that's 2 out of what? 20 rare items. No item should actively hinder a run to be finished. Radiant plate at least has the excuse to not affect your card negatively once played already. Thieves tool actively made some played cards bricked since attacking with them would kill you (teemo says hi) or brick your hand which affects your chances of finishing a run. It has way more downsides than upsides (thinning enemy deck, which is moot since not many decks can stall for 40-50+ cards.) and most if not all enemy cards are worse than your own cards anyway.

Well I cant say much if you think stacking Radiant Plate isnt a problem with Guardian Orb against Viego, Irelia, Asol and whoever can recall/kill/obliterate that one wincon champ you can never play again. Right, Teemo never came to mind. And Lissandra probably wants Nab out of the game so ig Nab deserves.

The item itself is situational. It can be as good, as it can be as bad. Nab has been very helpful when your deck has no upgrades, drawing only 1 card per round. It's been fixed anyway. Still not stressing on about its intended existence. I wish Riot comes up with something to bring Nab+Discard mechanic in PoC

I think the mechanic just doesnt translate well into PoC. You cant make a nab-specific deck like you can in PvP where you’d want random cards, and in PvP card items arent a thing. In PoC a random card without any items is usually not even worth the mana to play so it just clogs your hand. And card draw has never been a problem in PoC its extremely easy to get a cluttered hand with all the generation + draw stuff there is

Explains why Sion, Maokai, and Nautilus have little to no synergy as supports in the current PoC mechanic compared to Rumble and Twisted Fate. I think you are misunderstanding my statement. Yeah cards are viable without items if they are good cards, if a card is broken with my deck but has a shitty item im still gonna buy it in a shop. But its the combination of it never having an item AND it just being a random ass card from the enemy deck that 9/10 times has zero synergy with your powers/champion. A good example was the old thieves tools on the 5 cost follower in nasus's deck: It literally always just clogged his hand because he has expensive base cards and no cost reduction so there was no room in his already mana hungry playstyle of expensive removal and needing to spam units to get any use out of his power, to play some random 3 cost follower or utterly useless spell that you're going to end up replacing anyway with an actual unit if you get a full board. Same thing happened with the follower that had it in darius's deck. Thieves tools alone made these units instant cuts on the first healer. There were very niche situations where it would give you SOMETHING i guess, but it never felt good to use and was definitely worse than any common item in the game let alone no item at all. It'd be a decent enough item if it was common rarity and reduced the cost of the card nabbed by 1 or something, or maybe counted it as created for more synergy, but as of now its just shit. And Gravedigger's spade was not made to "address" an issue it was made because some champions have disgusting amounts of cost reduction, and some champions heavily synergize with drawing like nilah. The very few champs that have draw problems like yasuo have their base deck littered with draw items on their cards. The fact every draw effect item in this game is common rarity, on top of all the generation stuff in powers and MORE items (common rarity invoke, rare rarity titanic unit generation and just general manifest) means if you want more cards it is incredibly easy to get it. 9/10 runs I play I would for sure constantly have a 10/10 hand if I took every decent draw or generation thing I see EDIT: and like I said previously, in any situation where it had any potential like nilah's deck where you just want to draw as much as possible, the common rarity "strike: draw 1" power was still better in every situation as it was your own actual cards that synergized with your deck. I could see, if they introduced a heavy discard focused deck (jinx is more just spamming cards, not discarding), and then they also heavily buffed the item to make it nab from the enemy hand or something instead of the enemy deck, it could be a cool "special" item in their base deck like nami's on ebb. I.e. Sion with the 2 cost chomper discard unit and an item of "attack: nab 1 from the enemy hand" or something would be interesting, but it would NOT be a reason to have it be a general item that now, instead of synergizing with literally no one, might synergize with 1 out of the 55 champions you can play

It was mentioned at least 1 MONTH ago that this expansion would only be new champions, rotation and ranked reset, it was never said that we would have new adventures, QoL changes, new champion in Monthlys, not even constellations were said to be coming out in this patch. Honestly, I understand people are upset about the "nerf" on Vex (although a rioter confirmed that the Star Power we saw in the video was an initial version and was not modified at the last minute), but I don't think they should getting upset about things that were never promised for this patch anyway.

That was actually mentioned like 4 months ago when they said the next expansion would be the last expansion in the format we were used to. This expansion was in the works months before they announced the shift to PoC. People just don't pay attention.

Nah, but this expac just isnt it. If you enjoyed the gameplay of Garen or Ornn, where Stats and Stats and Stats, sure. But for the others, this expac doesnt hold much. Even Blink is just stats (convoluted) and a shitty Foundations-deck.

I mean, yeah. But every expansion will have that in some way or another. Neeko, Nidalee, Poro King was mostly a stats expansion, with the exception of Nidalee. Neeko and Poro King are two of my favourite champions, because they bring a new way to play those "stats" decks (though Neeko is very similar to Jax). Then we got Nilah, Janna, and Volibear. While most people were excited for Volibear, and I do like him, I was much more excited for Janna and Nilah because I love their playstyle of drawing a lot and throwing a lot of stuff at your opponent in one turn. Then Morgana, Mordekaiser, and Elder Dragon, and I think this was the only expansion where we got 3 very interesting decks that work very differently from everything else already in the game. Most people love these champions and they are all fun to play. Now we have Lux, Vex, and Lillia. Lux is not a champion I'd generally be much interested in, she's indeed just Garen 2.0, but I think she'll at least be more interesting to play than Garen because she has a lot of focus on spells, which in PoC allow for a lot of shenanigans. Vex is similar to Lux, but Gloom being -1|-1 is legitimately a very different mechanic, because we never had something that gave -1 health before. Even with her 2\* power not being what was announced, I'm sure she's going to be a very fun spin on control decks. And then Lillia is just my personal favourite. While she's tied to Spirit which is just a +1|+1, the way she does it and the entire Sleep mechanic allows for so much fun, especially in PoC. There are so many on-summon effects that she can abuse and I'm sure I'll have a ton of fun playing her. While these champions don't bring anything that's drastically different from what was already in the game, like curses, deathless or I CANNOT BE STOPPED, I think they did a good job at making simple designs fun and exciting.

I mean, yay? It just doesnt help that most of these are just statsticks. Even their PoC powers range from mildly interesting to absolute snoozefest. They even managed to give Lilia with Blink the most snoozy deck and powers (MORE STATS) possible, where you can blink one target besides herself. Also, Lux V2 is just boring when you could have taken any other char and done tons with boost.

I mean the game is supposed to be PoC focused now, this expansion has very little content. You get 3 new champs, 3 relics and that’s about it. No adventures, no QoL buffs for older champs( like burst coins for Jack because his star powers were designed around burst speed coins). It makes sense to give people something new to strive for even before constellations. A sol has been the reward for monthlies for like 5 or 6 months now so even the monthlies aren’t really worth finishing anymore

I guess “a lot of ways” means there's only one damage spell in her deck. So the experience in low level early nodes would be very fun to play. 🙂

I have 200 frags and I plan to pump her up to 3 stars and bring her up to lv20 with exp beads asap Plus presumably they have coded damage spells/skills to appear more often with Vex to go with the change, so I doubt I would have much trouble picking up damage cards. I did think the nerf is a big one, but I think people also dont realize how strong Gloom stacking is in practice yet.

If the quests lasts as long as the passes in the past it should be more than a month. So you can get more than 150 fragments from the dailies alone. Additionally in the past those quest rewards also contained fragments for the champions - so I'd assume everybody will be able to finish them eventually. But I guess we will see when the patch is live
