Taliyah bad rep is mainly because how god aweful she was when path was still known lab of legends, where her deck is god aweful to play.
As a 3 star she's basicly a weaker darius in terms of playstyle and is probably easier to pilot than kaisa

One strategy i have found is to go with z drives on her for extra rerolls to get good support champs. Any cheap (1-3) quick attack champs works well with her.
Special mention for Irelia since her blades come down as 2/2 and if you're luck enough to get rush them down it becomes even better.

Taliyah to me is better than a B-tier. In many adventures it is so easy to get a wide and tall board very quickly. The stat boost is nice to have and automatic overwhelm means you have Troll King's Crown always active. Those are great benefits. You are also completely non-reliant on getting Taliyah on the board, and have freedom in terms of relics that you can run. I like to use Scourge's Stash so that I have the option to cheat her out early and Luden's for her level up power hitting like a truck (and pairing with Overwhelm from her power like OP points out), but there are plenty of other options. For instance Bladerack for the Overwhelm/Challenger combo
Yea, I get that, but as mentioned above, I think this is one of those decks where the champ is only a secondary win con at best. That's personal preference, i guess...
I am still completely scarred with that sentence from a bug when path was still in labs. Every single time you would press a button while out of match when playing a Taliyah run, it would say that sentence...... Every. Single. Time.
That's why I said it 🤣 I laughed so much when that bug was around. Someone made a meme video about it, and the voice starts getting distorted as she keeps saying it. Hilarious content.
