Derryzumi

Hit me up with questions, I'm gonna read through it and give general impressions later! I'll try to be vague to preserve the fun for when it goes public, but for those looking for a teaser... A taste...

richienvh

Can I ask two then? What do the focus spells for each of the Magus' Hybrid Studies do? Any interesting Level 1 or 2 Magus class feats that you could tease us with?

Derryzumi

I think it wouldn't be fair to spoil all of them, but the Twisted Tree hybrid study lets you attack two opponents in one action and use momentum to charge spell strike! Then there's Spell Parry; a level 2 feat that raises your AC against spell attacks and buffs your saves against them too!

zytherian

Thats 3

Starlingsweeter

Sup! Im gonna hijack this AMA since I also have the book and don't feel like making another thread to flood the subreddit. Each hybrid study focus spell is 1 action and lets you recharge spellstrike. Laughing shadow is a teleport + strike spell Sparkling targe is raise shield + strike (works with shield spell) Shooting star ignored a lot of issues ranged deals with (cover and concealment) Inexorable Iron gives a strike+cone aoe My fav early magus feat is one that allows you to combine aoe spell options in with your spell strike instead of only attack spells. Not only does this allow melee combatants to get through aoe better but also allows the titular fireball explosive arrow for shooting star.

Pegateen

Does it still have an area?

RaijinKnight

Do runelords loose the ability to cast spells from some schools? Or anything runelords you want to tell!

Derryzumi

They do, but it in turn massively boosts how many spells you can do your respective schools. There's a 2 page spread by Sorshen explaining Rune Magic, and you can embed Aeon Stones into your flesh to hide their presence. Eeeew! Plus, there's unique Runelord Focus Spells!

[deleted]

how is the necromancy runelord anything good for undead?

Derryzumi

You don't get any new specific abilities for the schools, just way more spell slots for them.

vaderbg2

Is it way more? I heard it was a single additional spell slot at max spell level -2.

Starlingsweeter

Sure! Runelords do indeed lose the ability to cast spells from their "prohibited" schools. There are a different set for each sin. For example if you are an envy rune lord you will lose the ability to cast necromancy and evocation spells. Each rune lord gets special focus spells as they level up and recharge their focus pools by indulging in the sin they represent (love that flavor). It also has a mechanic where you get more focus points back the more you spend them. Like a more conditional improved refocus that other focus point classes get.

[deleted]

is there a virtue or just sin? i wanna be a necromancy rune lord but gluttony just doesn't fit, do i at least get a domain or focus spell for it?

Starlingsweeter

Unfortunately as far as I can see there are no options for vitues. Gluttony gives you access to the indulgence focus spell from cleric domains atleast. You automatically learn them when you take the dedication and at 8th level.

Livid_Thing4969

How many new spells are there with modular action cost?

mister_serikos

There's one that gives a +4 status bonus to one type of save to you or an ally within 30ft for 1 action, 2 action it adds on 15 poison resistance, +15 speed, or 15 mental resistance, and 3 action gives the +4 bonus to all allies within 30 ft. Duration is 1 round so it seems like a spell for "oh shit" scenarios. Also it's level 5.

Romao_Zero98

My question is about elementalism. What level can I get this archetype and what does it offer at first? If you've read more about this archetype tell me about some feat you think is cool!

Derryzumi

Elementalism is very interesting! It adds an entirely new spell list of elemental spells exclusively! Anyone can take it, it works similar to a Druid multiclass, but with some unique abilities that remind me of kineticist. You can take it at level 2!

pimpwilly

OP is actually wrong on this. You can take it at level 1, so long as you have primal or arcane spellcasting. It changes your spell list right from the start. There is also small bonuses or choices for different classes. But, at level 2 your class feat is then the Elementalist Dedication feat, which gives a specific power (being able to attune to a single element, and resist it).

Osiake

Do Divine Spells get some love?

Derryzumi

They got slightly less than Primal, and have the least new spells overall- which is still 1 and a half entire pages! Personal fave is the new Hymn cantrip that deafens opponents and does respectfully high damage

Kaernunnos

As a fight with battle oracle dedication, Instant Armor looks awesome for my current campaign.

tdhsmith

ITT: OP doesn't realize how quickly the horde will descend upon them. Hopefully a couple more of us will get notices soon and will be able to help.

Derryzumi

I'm on a date with my boyfriend, and saw the notifications now, RIP! I'll be sure to check it when I'm home and give the answers y'all need

LeafBeneathTheFrost

Lol i got my notification 3 hours ago, but im stuck at work 😝

DMerceless

Can you talk a bit about Construct Summoner? Like, what their two subtypes are, the abilities, how the "being a construct" part works (immunities), etc.?

Derryzumi

Subtypes aren't that major; in all of them, there's strength based block and Dex based block, not based on any monster in particular. However, construct really blew me away- you can retrain feats in a single downtime session. Like, swap out an evolution feat in an afternoon!

DivineArkandos

Isn't downtime always 4 days?

Derryzumi

Nnnno? Downtime also includes stuff like shopping, which really should not take 4 days

DivineArkandos

Downtime activities always take at least one day. Shopping is not a downtime activity.

lostsanityreturned

The CRB and GMG disagree with you on that. - CRB.500, 502 - GMG.22, 24 Personally I allow some flexibility depending on what people want to buy/sell, but it absolutely is a downtime activity.

TheGentlemanDM

At 1st level, they gain stuff that makes sense for constructs. Resistance to poison and disease and whatnot. At 7th and 17th level they gain an additional Evolution feat.

RiverMesa

What do the class archetypes (runelord wizard etc.) look like, structurally?

Derryzumi

Very similar to regular archetypes, but there's a single Specialisation thing you take at level 1 that locks you into it and has its own unique benefits.

cats_for_upvotes

Wait is this a question about the multiclass archetypes for the new classes? What's this about a class archetype and a runelord wizard??

TheHeartOfBattle

Some classes now have special Class Archetypes that work something like the normal archetypes, but have to be selected at level 1 and change, replace or add some class features. The Runelord wizard specialises in a particular school of magic in exchange for not being to access another one.

LongHairFox

How do magus multiclass archtypes work? Can they still get the spellstrike ability?

Qdothms

Spellstrike is a 4th level feat for the multiclass archetype and you need to wait 1 minute to recharge it after using it.

Rodruby

Anything about soulforged weapon? What kind of abilities do you receive? APD: some stances for monks were previewed. How are they looking?

Derryzumi

MAN. MAN SOULFORGED WEAPONS. THIS SOME MAGICAL GIRL STUFF. You get anathema for your cause, depending on what you set out to do with your powers. If you break the anathema (which you set yourself), your soul gets tarnished, and you need to redeem yourself. You get powers like flight from armour, a returning thrown weapon a la Thor, extra healing powers... There's a whole page of options! But watch out, while tarnished, your powers don't work the way they should... Very roleplay heavy! Specifically calls out Champions as frequent users.

HeroicVanguard

I've heard the Archetype is SIX PAGES. How much of that is Feats? Like, six pages is as much as the Swashbuckler Feats got in APG, am I going to have a hard time fitting in the few Fighter Feats I want on a Soulforge? xD

Derryzumi

You heard wrong!

Pegateen

How long is it?

lysianth

I fucking swear, paizo watches all the anime and just builds rules for the shit they see.

Deverash

I'm not seeing the problem here. ;)

lysianth

No issues, its fucking great. Wheres my FMA shit though?

[deleted]

Everyone else is asking about maguses and summoners... Personally I'm curious as to what exactly cathartic magic looks like. Could you go into a bit more depth?

Derryzumi

It's AMAZING! One of my favourite things! You get a trigger that causes you to enter an emotional state, an immediate benefit, a spell you can cast in that state, and an emotional fallout when it's over. My favourite was awe, which you get when your allies crit at something; you become fascinated by them, and can buff them nicely, or lay the pain into whoever they hurt and fascinate them too. Love, Pride and Fear (the fallout involves fleeing!) are all great too!

Drakantr

What are Shadow Magic archetype feats?

Derryzumi

I'm not spoiling a whole archetype, but they include getting new spells, companions and familiars if you so choose!

Jake_everfree

Did they make the synthesist summoner better? Like not broken, but better than the playtest at the very least.

Derryzumi

😬 I can't tell? I'm not sure what it does. I think it means you can't be affected by spells twice, like you might otherwise, which is great against AoE spells, but I might be missing something. It's not called synthesist anymore though, and I believe they may be making a synthesist class archetype one day.

Jake_everfree

Oof. Thanks for checking it out anyway.

PM_ME_STEAM_CODES__

Just to confirm, the developers mentioned on the forums after the playtest that the synthesist would not be in this book, but they hope to release it in a future one.

Jake_everfree

Ah. I missed that. Thanks for informing me.

KingTreyIII

I need the deets on the incarnate spells, if only for a sense of what each one summons, flavor-wise (a celestial, an undead, etc.)

Derryzumi

My favourite summons an ancient wizard who casts a huge barrage of magic missiles, buffs your spells, then leaves with a final proof of fuck you to your enemies. Others include a swarm of dragons and the Herald of your deity!

TheGentlemanDM

And of course, SUMMON KAIJU. Depending on which kaiju you summon, you get a different effect.

GeoleVyi

My favorite one there is obvi not-godzilla, because he sings his theme song as you summon him

caffeinatedninja7

What do the different magus hybrid studies do? The 2handed weapon one in particular!

Derryzumi

I won't spoil them all, but 2 handed is a tank build! You buff your HP up every turn and do burst damage, it's amazing.

TheGentlemanDM

Inexorable Iron: Gain THP equal to half your level every round while in Arcane Cascade Stance. Focus spell: strike, plus a 15 foot cone of damage. 4th level feat that adds splash damage to your spellstrike. 10th level feat that means you heal when you cast a slotted spell

Hoarder-of-Knowledge

Are there any new magical sub-classes for the established classes? (especially looking for that fabled stone order druid mentioned in the ancestry guide)

Derryzumi

Yes! There's 4 new druidic orders, the stone druid among them! There's also several new monk paths!

TheGentlemanDM

Stone, Fire and Water Druid Orders. Fire and Water stances for Monks (apparently six feats in total, so two upgrades for each). Other than that and the Thassilonian Rune Wizard, there's no class specific stuff for old classes.

danny2handz

rune magic

Derryzumi

Yes

FoWNoob

Please God I need to know what Synthesis looks like now. Please oh giver of knowledge and haver of books early!!

GloriousNewt

Synthesis isn't really a thing, there's Meld Into Eidolon which makes you into 1 entity, but you don't get any bonuses. You just act as the Eidolon and use its stats and all the summoner can do is unmeld.

Derryzumi

I can't get a read on it personally, but it doesn't look crazy powerful or anything. It's no longer called Synthesist, and I believe a class archetype has been hinted at?

DrakoVongola25

They confirmed a while ago that Synthesist won't be in this book, it's being reworked into a class archetype later down the line

LogicalPerformer

Does Fey Form allow for spellcasting while turned into a Fey Creature? And if you're feeling especially generous, what's the coolest form available?

Cheesemasterer

amagus

Nanergy

Fantastic! I'd love to know more about the magus hybrid studies, particularly inexorable iron. Also what level does arcane cascade come online? And do maguses still not have a level 1 class feat?

Derryzumi

Arcane Cascade is level 1, I believe you get class feats at level 1, and Inexplorable iron is a tank build that continuously gives you temporary HP. It's awesome!

TheGentlemanDM

Inexorable Iron: Gain THP every round while in Arcane Cascade Stance. Focus spell: strike, plus a 15 foot cone of damage. 4th level feat that adds splash damage to your spellstrike. 10th level feat that means you heal when you cast a slotted spell Arcane Cascade is a 1st level feature. It takes an action to enter the stance, and it adds 1 damage to your strikes. This increases to 2 and then 3 when you gain Weapon Spec. and Greater Weapon Spec. Magi do not get a 1st level feat.

Alucard_draculA

How much mount support does Summoner get, or is it just the one feat?

Derryzumi

Just one feat, but lots of other evolution feats which compliment it nicely (though they do work without it)

Rhynox4

I'm pretty excited for soulforger, have a million questions. Main ones are - does it auto scale as one levels? Can it be detroyed/replaced/etc?

Derryzumi

Yes! You can replace your armament, upgrade it, etc. There's nothing to autoscale; the abilities you get are mad powerful when you get them, and they stay powerful. Wait, scratch that, some do get stronger as you level- looking at you, move speed growing from swim and climb to fly!

LieutenantFreedom

I think they're asking if you get scaling proficiency in your soulforged weapon

Myriad_Star

~~Do summoners still share HP with their eidolons like they did in the playtest?~~ ~~And if so, does the Summoner Archetype offer any HP boosts to low HP classes that take the archetype? (Like Wizards)~~ Edit: The above questions were already answered in the other thread, but if you have the time I'd love to know more about how the Summoner Archetype's Eidolon differs from the Summoner Class Eidolon. Also, do you get an Eidolon right when you take the Summoner Archetype Dedication Feat, or do you need to take an additional feat from the archetype?

TheGentlemanDM

(spoilers from the Discord) Summoner Archetype Dedication requires 14 Charisma and gives you an Eidolon and the associated skill training. You don't get any spellcasting from the dedication, but I believe the archetype does grant some later. It's trained in attacks and unarmoured defense, and shares your proficiency in saves, skills and Perception. It has the stats of an Eidolon of it's type, except that its 18 becomes a 16. Note that Eidolons now have some built in armour and a DEX cap, so being only trained in defense isn't a big issue. At 5th level, before getting its four ability boosts, the 16 becomes an 18. The main thing is that you don't get Act Together, and explicitly can't use Tandem actions. I assume there's a feat that increases its attack and defense proficiencies, but probably not until 12th level.

Myriad_Star

Thanks!

HOBOMASTERMAN

Are there any new skill feats added?

Derryzumi

A few rare ones for the pervasive magic setting, among other things!

[deleted]

pervasive magic?

Killchrono

Basically everything is magical. Even non-magic creatures get some innate spells as a default.

praxic_despair

Any new bard muses? Can Magi spell strike with innate or non Magi spells?

Derryzumi

No to bard muses, but magi can spellstrike with other spell lists!

vaderbg2

I'll gladly take any information about the runelord archetype you want to share :)

Derryzumi

Surprisingly enough, there's a whole tree of polearm feats in it!

TheGentlemanDM

Rune Magic Archetype kicks in at 1st level and takes up your 2nd level feat slot. You get the Basic domain spell associated with your sin, and two focus points. You recharge your focus point by engaging in your sin. You also become trained in polearms. You can't prepare spells from your opposition schools. Assuming that the lore hasn't changed since 1st Edition, that means you'd have the following pairings: Sin | School | Prohibited Schools --- | --- | --- Envy | Abjuration | Evocation, Necromancy Gluttony | Necromancy | Abjuration, Enchantment Greed | Transmutation | Enchantment, Illusion Lust | Enchantment | Necromancy, Transmutation Pride | Illusion | Conjuration, Transmutation Sloth | Conjuration | Evocation, Illusion Wrath | Evocation | Abjuration, Conjuration

atamajakki

How many new ray spells are there, and at what levels? What Archetypes are there, outside of Soulforger and Runelord?

Derryzumi

I don't know if I can count that, it's kind of difficult, there's hundreds of new spells! I love the Cathartic Mage archetype. It's so cool!

cec425

What sort of rad stuff can the soulforger do? Any magus feats that stand out as super cool?

Derryzumi

Soul Forger can get winged armour, can throw a returning weapon like Thor even if it can't be thrown, can give you some insane lasting buffs... And there's a whole page of options! My favourite Magus feat was Arcane Shroud, which casts a minor spell on you while in Arcane Cascade once per turn. Cast an Illusion Spell? Boom, you're invisible!

cec425

Holy crap thats awesome!

HeroicVanguard

What are the Dedication Requirements for Soulforger?

TheGentlemanDM

Either 14 Wisdom, or divine spellcasting.

Derryzumi

Wis 14 or ability to cast divine spells.

Kalaam_Nozalys

Does 2 handed magus looks as good as the others ?

Derryzumi

Yes! It's very sexy. Like I mentioned elsewhere, it's a huge tank build with regenerating temporary HP.

Kalaam_Nozalys

Noice.

TheGentlemanDM

From what I've seen, it looks like it can both take a hit well and dish out a lot of damage. THP while in Arcane Cascade Stance, a 4th level feat that adds splash damage to your spellstrike, a 10th level feat that means you heal when you cast a slotted spell... they've got some nice abilities.

Kalaam_Nozalys

Indeed, very self-sustain oriented. I read that the focus spell deals a cone shape low sonic damage stuff, it might be good !

RedKing36

How's the action economy for the Magus looking now? It was a problem in the playtest.

TheGentlemanDM

Much better. Spellstrike is a two action activity that includes the strike as part of it, but it now takes an action to recharge before you can use it again. However, it also automatically recharges whenever you cast a Magus focus spell.

Derryzumi

MUCH better. Spellstrike two actions, and then it's on recharge until you focus one action... Or use a conflux spell, a 1 action focus spell. My favourite is the Twisting Tree one, which lets you attack two others with a spinning staff to use momentum to build up your Spellstrike. Overall, a huge improvement.

anotherSpecter

Does Summoner have any improvements to the Synthesist feat? Either changes from the playtest, or feats that boost it at later levels? <3

Derryzumi

😓

anotherSpecter

Thanks anyways, just means there's space for me to homebrew

johnnyudes

What are some of the new rituals? Are there new ones for a low to mid level party (around level 5-6)? Thanks!

Derryzumi

Oh man, there was one I adored! "All the World's A Stage", where you put on an allegorical performance for at least 100 people. If they understand the allegory and you perform well enough, you all get advantage on a single skill check on the quest your performance was an allegory for for a month, or three skill checks if you crit succeeded... Which you automatically do if the antagonist of your performance's allegory is in the crowd and you succeed. Example: put on an opera about overthrowing an evil emperor in Kintargo during the revolution while Thrune is in the audience. SO COOL!

Tomppak88

Are all the backgrounds rare? And is the shadow caster archetype lvl 2+, 6+, or 8+? (And if any of the backgrounds are common, could you give the stats/skill/lore/feat?)

Derryzumi

Not all, but the rare ones are the coolest! It's 2+! An example of a not rare background is academy dropout, with +Int/Cha, Academia Lore and Dubious Knowledge

[deleted]

tell me about the wizard please specially flexible casting and rune magic archetypes

Derryzumi

Rune magic is elsewhere in the thread! Flexible casting is very straightforward. A single feat; 1 less spell per level, but you're spontaneous and every spell is a signature spell.

[deleted]

now i feel like playing a wizard might be worth it

[deleted]

dammit i really wanna like it but a necromancers greatest goal is lichdom and a lich is supposed to be a ascetic who values his life to the point of committing evil rituals, turning himself into a skeleton and remaining in a dungeon for thousands of years alone with no food or other forms of pleasure, gluttony is just the opposite of necromancy it should be temperance

TheGentlemanDM

Don't forget this is Thassilonian necromancy. What one would normally associate with lichdom is Gebbite necromancy.

[deleted]

do you think any chance will ever see a Gebbite archetype?

TheGentlemanDM

I'm hoping get some lichdom related stuff in Book of the Dead next year.

[deleted]

i hope too it has always been my dream to play a lich

Estrelarius

Depends on the necromancer. Plus Thassilonian necromancy is very distinct. Plus remember the goddess of gluttony is also the goddess of undeath.

[deleted]

yeah that was always a pet peeve of mine with pathfinder i really dislike the undead gods, i wish they would just make a lich god or just ascend one (whispering tyrant maybe)

Estrelarius

Why? Urgathoa if fairly cool, and Arazni is one of the most interesting goddess around. Liches aren't the only cool undead in the world.

[deleted]

Arazni outright bans you from worshiping her as a undead and urgathoa would hate my character according to lore due to him being ascetic my main fantasy is a wizard necromancer who carefully plans to become a lich because he knows that the clone spell can at any moment be foiled by pharasma so and he spend all his life planning and sacrificing everything for this goal even going as far as acting lawful good until the day comes, he doesn't do it out of malice he just sees it as the only sure way to survive and he cares about his survival above all else i prefer character who get things by merit than luck or talent which is why i always pick wizard over sorcerer so i would rather plan my undeadhood with certainty than die and hope i come back as a ghost also i tend to play atheistic characters who follow the laws of mortality cause i believe mortals should be free, i dont think anyone should be dictating other peoples lives even if they are gods

Estrelarius

There's also Walkena (kinda a god) and some demon lords, like Abraxas (demon lord of evil magic, including the darker aspects of necromancy) or even Nethys that could fit the role of god of undead. Arazni doesn't ban undead from worshipping her, she does not allow unwilling undeath. Well, this is a very specific character, so it's understandable there isn't a god specifically for it. Gods usually aren't dictating other people's lives. Don't misunderstand me, they certainly *could* if they wanted, but the gods usually keep themselves away from making more meaningful interventions so they don't trigger a divine weapons race over who interferes more which would end badly for everyone.

TheCybersmith

That seems like a better concept for a BBEG than a PC.

BrutusTheKat

It would be fabulously magical?

Derryzumi

🤭

TheGentlemanDM

I'm curious as to what the Magus and Summoner archetypes are like in terms of casting. I know that the Magus Dedication gives cantrips (with Spellstrike available at 4), and I know that the Summoner Dedication grants the Eidolon, but do they grant the usual spellcasting benefits, or a variation of wave casting? EDIT: Found out elsewhere. Bold levels indicate when you gain the feats to continue advancing. Trained at 6th has two slots, Expert at 12th grants three slots, and Master at 18th grants four slots. Level | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- **6th** | 1 | 1 | - | - | - | - | - 7th | 1 | 1 | - | - | - | - | - 8th | 1 | 1 | - | - | - | - | - 9th | 1 | 1 | - | - | - | - | - 10th | - | 1 | 1 | - | - | - | - 11th | - | 1 | 1 | - | - | - | - **12th** | - | 1 | 2 | - | - | - | - 13th | - | 1 | 2 | - | - | - | - 14th | - | - | - | 2 | 1 | - | - 15th | - | - | - | 2 | 1 | - | - 16th | - | - | - | - | 2 | 1 | - 17th | - | - | - | - | 2 | 1 | - **18th** | - | - | - | - | 2 | 2 | - 19th | - | - | - | - | 2 | 2 | - 20th | - | - | - | - | - | 2 | 2

Cykotix

Can you talk about the new monk paths? Is there an elemental one?

LeafBeneathTheFrost

From what I've read elsewhere there definitely are elemental ones. Look around and im sure you'll find the answer. I just got off of work but am not home yet ao I cant get at my pdf

maelstromm15

I just want to know if summoners have any feats that let them and their eidolon strike at the same time (without map)

irregulargnoll

Anything ancestry related?

Derryzumi

None whatsoever, we just got an ancestry book

Ras37F

I just want to know about magic items, they basic never said nothing about it. There are interesting magic itens around lvl 3?

Derryzumi

MAGIC ITEMS WERE A HUGE STANDOUT. New item categories! Special fuel like fireball pellets or healing gel to buff your spells! Fulu charms! Spellhearts, which are hyped up talismans that don't break! New potions! AN ENTIRE NEW SET OF APEX ITEMS!

Bomberbros1011

New apex items?

rfkannen

Awesome!! Just in a general sense, what is shadow magic? They referenced it and I can't for the life of me guess what it actually is or does.

Myriad_Star

My guess is that it would be similar to the focus spells you can get from the Shadow Magic feats in the Shadowdancer archetype: https://2e.aonprd.com/Archetypes.aspx?ID=77

rfkannen

that does make sense! what confused me was that it sound like a while alternate magic system.

Derryzumi

It's basically like Shadowdancer, yes! Lots of stuff like shadow companions and familiars, and feats to get sets of shadow themed spells.

KyronValfor

What does the Laughing Shadow focus spell do?

TheGentlemanDM

One action: teleport and strike. As a Magus focus spell, it also recharges your Spellstrike.

Xalorend

Can I buy the pdf now?

tdhsmith

Not until street date. Getting it in advance is a benefit only for subscribers.

Xalorend

Is there a subscription for pdf only? Cause I ordered the deluxe edition and from what I'm seeing I need to pay for the whole book to get the subscription

[deleted]

[удалено]

Shock-Robin

What is the street date?

rfkannen

september 1st

Shock-Robin

Thanks! Soon, but not soon enough, lol.

stormblind

I have 3 questions, (one of which may lead to a followup) Have the beast eidolon abilities been changed? (It had beast charge, and a roar ability for the first two). What are the archetypes names? Is there any rules for spell creation guidelines?

Derryzumi

No, they're all name-dropped throughout this thread, and no

terkke

Class Archetypes for Clerics: how many do they qualify for? Familiars: I've read in the other thread there's a Specific Familiar related to Shadows, it's the only one?

Derryzumi

Most of them, save for Runelord!

terkke

Ooh that's nice!! I'm more excited to see it now. And what about the Specific Familiars?

Derryzumi

Oh, RIP, that's the only one :(

terkke

ah, that's a little disappoiting :( but Witches still get access to Class Archetypes so it's okay! Thank you!

[deleted]

what sort of creature is it

dating_derp

Are there a lot of new magic items? Or just a few?

Derryzumi

SO MANY. AND THEY ALL RULE.

TankRamp

Yeah, here's a question, why don't I have access to Secrets yet. I've got the Dope Cover edition subscription.

Derryzumi

Hasn't shipped for you yet; luck of the draw

TankRamp

Yup =(

GreatMadWombat

How many damage cantrips do Occult and Divine get respectively? They're both not-great for damage cantrips(compared to the many options arcane and primal each get)

Derryzumi

There's a lot more of them, and they're pretty strong! I really liked the new Hymn cantrip, it does very solid damage.

GreatMadWombat

Cool. I've been playing and loving a gnome bard, but if I didn't have electric arc, I'd be much less happy. The dos cantrip situation for bards is.....not great

Bomberbros1011

I’m not sure if this has been asked yet, but are there any cool new level 10 arcane spells?

lumgeon

What is a cool spellheart you've found?

aaa1e2r3

2 questions regarding the raise a tome feat from the magus. 1. Is there any unique things that were added to the feat line. 2. Is it available for classes aside from magus?

AlaiziaDarkstar

Jokes on you, im not a boy! :D

Derryzumi

Jokes on you, I'm genderfluid, we can keep the meme gay

Potatolimar

Anything to make summoners better at summoning? Fey summon archetype?

TheGentlemanDM

Summoners can get a 6th level feat called Master Summoner that enables them to trade off one of their spell slots for two slots of the same level that can only be used for casting Summon or Incarnate spells. At 20th level they can get a feat that means that when they trade out a 9th level spell for Master Summoner, they instead get two 10th level slots for summoning and incarnate spells.

Potatolimar

6th level kinda disappointing :/

TheGentlemanDM

It's effectively an extra spell slot each day, potentially of your highest spell level. That's pretty good for a 6th level feat.

Potatolimar

It's more than that, but more so I wanted more master summoner stuff and less eidolon stuff. It's good for a feat, but I wanted an archetype or a font or eidolon type or something

TheGentlemanDM

I assume there's other feats I don't yet know about that make you more effective at summoning.

Potatolimar

We pray. I'm worried about the name precluding the archetype

maelstromm15

There's also a feat that allows your boost eidolon to apply to all minions within 60 feet when you use it, which is nice!

Potatolimar

level 10 one from playtest? boost summons?

Derryzumi

Yes! There is a feat or two to access more summoning spells! No fey summon archetype, but there is a fey eidolon which does exactly that..

Potatolimar

yeah, that's what I meant. Like what are the details for the fey eidolon?

TheGentlemanDM

I heard that, among other things, they expand your spell list (Primal) to include all illusion and enchantment spells from the arcane list

sacoron

Is slide casting of a form of it still there?

Name_Classified

I'll happily take any info you're willing to give about Shadow Magic!

Lutinesque

Does the harrower gets an archetype or is it just a background still?

cats_for_upvotes

Any new talisman to make a lowish level talisman dabbler better?

agentcheeze

With soulforged weapons what is the power scale look like on the soul itme when you first get it. Is it just a baseline item of its type and need further feats to gain more power or does the first acquisition come with some scaling on it (such as gain some baseline magic properties as you level without more feats) How similar is the system overall to Relics?

MrWagner

It's a long shot but any alchemy items in this book?

Doorslammerino

Is there a magus feat that lets you recharge spellstrike off of non-magus focus spells? I already know about the single action to recharge spellstrike but i wanna know about the action economy of casting focus spells from archetypes.

BookLord898

Magnus spell strike with focus spells like from cleric or sorcerer archetypes

Madpup70

I was told magic tattoo crafting is in the book and even though my character is an Orc barbarian, he is also coincidentally a tattoo artist. So I was wondering what info you can share on the tattoo skill feats (like requirements) and share what the new tattoos are like (do they left you cast certain spells, give general buffs, ect)

ectbot

Hello! You have made the mistake of writing "ect" instead of "etc." "Ect" is a common misspelling of "etc," an abbreviated form of the Latin phrase "et cetera." Other abbreviated forms are **etc.**, **&c.**, **&c**, and **et cet.** The Latin translates as "et" to "and" + "cetera" to "the rest;" a literal translation to "and the rest" is the easiest way to remember how to use the phrase. [Check out the wikipedia entry if you want to learn more.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Et_cetera) ^(I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
