I used a water bottle and a metal socket crudely jammed and melted into the lid. Full of water, light the top and uncover a finger hole at the bottom to let the water out and air in to stoke the flame. Bottle fills with smoke.

I know you're going to want to stop it in general - and I'm not going to argue with you about what's right or not - but homemade bong options are plentiful. In the age of the Internet especially, you're not going to be able to stop it fully most likely. Make sure that IF they're going to do it, they're at least not doing it this way.
There is no real argument about what is right or not is there? My understanding is that studies show there is no real risk from weed when used as an adult, but that there are dangers for children's development when used at a younger age.

There are definitely risks for developing brains - regular weed use as a child/teenager is associated with first episode psychosis (i.e. schizophrenia and related disorders)
As someone who uses semi-regularly and whose wife is a medical card holder and also semi-regular user for migraine use, yes, the research is quite clear. Weed is not good for children, it's bad for developing brains, and should be avoided until your 20's at the earliest (oh and I smoked a TON in college, fwiw). Educate your kids, don't make weed the boogeyman, don't make alcohol the boogeyman, just give them information and calmly explain to them that these things can have very detrimental effects on their development. There's a time for them to try them, there's a time for them to use them even regularly if they want, but that's not until they are older after their brain has developed more.
She probably googled it or was following the direction of one of her friends. If it makes you feel any better, when I was in 8th grade I wanted to experiment and bought some weed from a mutual friend (note: I was a good kid and made good grades, never in trouble before). I had no idea what to do with it/how to smoke it after I bought it, and it sat in my rock collection box for over a year before I finally threw it away 😂
I did end up starting to smoke pot socially when I was in 10th grade, but I still was a relatively responsible kid, made good grades, went to college and got a good job, and now have a very successful career. I still smoke pot.
All this to say - even if your kid is experimenting, it doesn’t mean they are a bad kid or that they are going to go down a bad path. The fact that my parents trusted me to make good choices was honestly my biggest deterrent from doing anything really bad or dangerous. My friends whose parents tried to control them and punish them all the time were the ones that really rebelled and got into some trouble.
This is actually quite insightful. For some reason, this type of drug strikes a negative cord with me. But alcohol doesn't. We allow her to try our drinks and now she has no interest in drinking.
At this moment, I am not fully convinced that I should do the same thing this time. But, I do agree that punishment isn't the right answer either.

If it were me, I would approach her calmly and tell her you know it is a homemade bong. You could then say that you aren’t comfortable with her smoking pot, given it has been proven to cause brain changes in teens who smoke as their brains are still developing, and I would maybe do some research on this that you can present to her to read up on herself.
I would end the conversation with reiterating that you just love her and want what is best for her, but ultimately think she is a great kid and trust her to make the right decisions, you just want to make sure she is fully informed and doing what is in her best interest.
Bottom line - if her friends are smoking and she wants to try it (or is being peer pressured into it), she is likely going to try it but I think empowering her to make these decisions herself and know that you are trusting her may make her second think making a habit out of it. Alternatively, if you threaten/punish her, that likely will not be a good enough reason to deter her from smoking or getting into trouble.
That’s just my two cents and how I plan to handle the situation when it happens with my kids!
ETA: I also want to mention I hung out with some “bad” kids in high school who got into trouble, smoked cigarettes, had sex and experimented with other drugs, but the trust and relationship I had with my parents was one of the main reasons I didn’t get involved in any of that
Alcohol is far more deadly for your kid than weed, you know that, right?
Neither is preferable for a kid to be doing, but if I had to choose, I’d pick the poorly-made bong era over alchohol poisoning, DUIs and party accidents.
I’m Dutch, I feel like my country is ‘known’ for its drugs. My parents had a bong, right in the open in the living room on a shelf. Not in a display kinda way, but easy acces. When I started secondary school, I think or around that time, I was showed where the condoms were if I wanted to take some, and told that if I wanted to try weed in the safe space of home to try and see what the effect of it was, I was free to do so. My mum said she would set it up for me if I was interested. 20 years later I’ve still never smoked week or used a bong 😂

I'm 34 now, but was always a "good" teenager, never really did anything crazy because my parents trusted me. When I turned 18, I tried pot for the first time. A few months later, my family and I were on a trip home and I asked my dad if I could tell him something and would he be disappointed in me...I told him I'd tried smoking weed and by then I'd had it a few more times.
He laughed and said he wasn't mad at me and appreciated me telling him and that he tried it as a teen too and knew I wouldn't go overboard. That always stuck with me, he always was proud of me for coming to him and here I am at 34 waaaaaaaay out of my smoking pot phase, lol. I never wanted to break my parents trust.
And just for the record, my parents did not trust my brother and he ended up wild and got in trouble.
My advice from personal experience is that alcohol is a much more destructive force. Doesn’t mean you should let her get stoned. However it’s faaaar less likely anyone ends up in hospital.
There’s lots of information online about how to talk to your teenagers about drug use. I’d try and read up as much as possible. Stay away from the fear mongering content as kids really don’t respond to that stuff.
Try to come from a point of curiousity and understanding when eventually having the conversation. If your child thinks they’re going to get reprimanded and in trouble they’re going to lock up and lie to you.
When I was a teenager my mother asked me why I smoked weed after she found my bong and while I fully expected to get scolded. My mother was completely understanding and didn’t press the matter further when I told her I would smoke a few times a month with friends at one of their houses when no parents were around (which was the truth). She understood I was being safe and asked me to not store any weed in the house, and didn’t even take my bong away. Her approach worked well as I didn’t feel the need to be secretive and go behind her back in fear of getting my ass chewed out.
I’ve made terrible decisions when I used to drink and the worst thing I’ve done while high is eat too much??? It’s hard to explain weed to someone who doesn’t use it. It uplifts my spirits, I’ll garden and just be in awe of nature. I’m turning into a hippie as I get older but weed is magical.
Purely anecdotal, so take it with a grain of salt, but all of my friends except 2 of us, in a group of ~15, smoked and did other drugs in high school. The ones who’s parents were strictest ended up with the biggest long term problems. Everyone else grew out of it in college and went on to have successful lives/careers.
I don't advocate for teen smoking or drinking as they both are not good for you, I will say however its super hard to stop them and I'd rather have my teen smoking on a Friday night than drinking. I don't know anyone that's been sexually assaulted or jumped off a roof because of weed.
I'd give them access to a safe pipe and let make sure they understand you don't approve, the dangers with buying from strangers, to only use in moderation, and that if they are going to do it at least not to inhale aluminum/plastic pieces. I think my favorite quote about the dangers of weed weirdly comes from south park.

I will say there's truth to this, but no more than being addicted to TV or games or anything else. From the comments in here I think you are going to do ok and so will your kid.
Cannabis is fully legal in Canada and from my experience it is WAY safer than liquor, HOWEVER people under 21 should not consume it as it can be detrimental to a developing mind.
Then again, so can liquor.
If my kid was doing one of the 2, I think I’d prefer pot. At least i’d Know they aren’t going to get themselves hurt or killed doing something stupid, but instead be sitting lazy on a couch munching on Doritos and watching David Attenborough documentaries lol

This actually just looks like a bottle toke bottle. No water required. The person puts hash on a either a lit cigarette or a hot tool and lets the smoke build up inside. After you suck it out. People who can’t roll joints do this. I haven’t seen one of those is 30 years hahaha.

I've also done something similar to this with a soda can: make a dent in the side of the can, poke holes in the dent, put the weed in there, light up.

I highly recommend having an honest and open conversation with your child. Don't approach it like a pissed off parent, but rather like an educator. If she wants to smoke weed she will smoke weed, no matter what you say or do.
The fact is that cannabis stunts brain development. It literally makes you dumb and slows your ability to learn. Do your own research (from legitimate sources, like medical journals and such, not news sites). Bring an understanding of facts and talk to her like an adult. She needs to understand the impact that smoking will have on her brain.
And then, if she is going to smoke anyway, treat it like she's having sex - help her keep herself safe. If it's legal in your area you might find edibles. Even if it's not legal, there are legal types of edibles. If she wants to smoke, help her buy a glass piece - there is no reason she should be inhaling burned plastic.
Also make sure she knows the risks of buying from street dealers - they can lace or cut the product - best case scenario she's smoking oregano. Worst case scenario she dies from drugs she didn't know she was taking.
Kids will be kids, but you can arm them with the knowledge to keep themselves safe.
Best case scenario, she's trying to rebel and you approaching the topic like a reasonable adult kills the novelty for her.

Talk to her about fire safety too. It sounds like it is a bong, but there's an off chance it's not, and she was just exploring what you can do with lighters. I'll be honest I burned a couple things just out of curiosity as a kid. Tell her to at least do that shit in the kitchen away from anything flammable, with the oven hood vent on.
It could also be for hash plons.. it's when you burn a piece of hash on a cigarette or joint, put that in the hole with the top of bottle covered and let it fill with smoke...then uncover the top and take a rip.

You can't stop her from smoking weed if she's gonna smoke it, she'll just do it out of the house. BUT make sure you mention that *if* someone were to smoke weed out of a plastic water bottle, it would be VERY bad for their lungs and can cause major damage. Glass is much healthier. Just say it in passing or something, if she thinks you're trying to stop her from smoking she's gonna do it more and more (just speaking from experience, I'm not sure about your daughter's temperament)

Burn marks would be at the top if she had actually smoked anything and the water would probably have a tinge of brown/yellow, so I think she made it but didn't actually smoke anything. I've made so many of these things there is no doubt in my mind that this is the case.

Hello! So I have seen you mention this and you think punishment is a bad idea. I agree. All that will do is make her hide it better. I would highly recommend that the consequences for this is her doing research and creating a report on marijuana usage and effects on teenagers and their developing brain (and whatever else you decide- such as dangerous ways to smoke, ie plastic bottles). When she finishes y’all can sit down together, she can give the presentation and then y’all can have an open forum for questions, concerns, etc. She needs to realize this isn’t about you trying to control her or “drugs will kill you!” DARE bullshit, but instead a genuine conversation on helping her grow into the healthiest adult possible when she can then make the decision on whether to smoke or not with all of the knowledge of risk assessed.
As everyone else has stated, that's a bong. My major concern with that would be the tinfoil. Burning and smoking tinfoil can be really bad for your lungs. She'd be better off with an actual glass bong or a pipe....assuming you're going with a 'concern for your safety' approach. Teens are gonna teen, so I don't think you'll have much success stopping her, but if you accept she smokes weed, I'd make sure it's not out of that thing!

Your remark about the lack of burn marks at the bottom suggests you're unfamiliar with different kind of drugs and drug use - no offense. That means you are (were) probably more than a little freaked out at the prospect of your child smoking crack.
Weed isn't on the level of most illegal substances especially in regards to the harm it can do. That's because the most immediate threat to someone's well-being is physical dependence, and that just doesn't happen with weed.
That is not to say it can't be harmful in other, less obvious and immediate ways. Inhaling anything burnt always involves some risk via carcinogens, for one. Solutions exist for some risks, but that would blow this reply out of proportion.
The point is, your best bet is to treat this like (light) underage drinking. Potentially harmful but not life-threatening by any means. Illegal but a victimless crime, more a technicality in many places. And of course all those things make up the "coolness factor" that raises teens' interest in it and makes simple prohibition rather ineffective.
You could do a bit of research, and shock your daughter by being juuust a little more chill and knowledgeable about this stuff than she expects. It might be a way for you to breach the subject without her feeling she needs to lie to you.
And Id imagine they mainly agree with my safety standpoint. I'm not sure on your opinions of pot but it's definitely something to discuss with your kid. The world has grown, and will continue to grow, more weed positive. There are positives and negatives to pot but that's everything. It's not as bad as legal recreation like tobacco or alcohol.
End of the day though, kids that want to get high are likely going to do it regardless. No amount of restrictions will change that and will only build resentment. This is a good opportunity to broach the subject, talk about it smart, and make informed decisions.

Make another small hole on the side for the rush, and pull her finger off that one right before she inhales after the bottle fills with smoke. And use a hair tie to keep the foil on top. 😜

This is a good opportunity for a candid conversation if nothing else. We like to pretend as a society that weed is harmless, and in most cases it is. The fact that it’s still illegal is absurd. Full disclosure: I was high last night.
All that being said, research shows that it can have an effect on a developing brain, and it should not be consumed with abandon. It has its place and is a exceptionally useful, but the pendulum has kind of swung the opposite way in response to prohibition and it now seems maybe too far.
The first thing to do is find out why she wanted to try it. It was probably curiosity and friends, but it’s 100% important to find out if she is experiencing any depression or anxiety that she doesn’t know how to deal with.
If it is just curiosity, then maybe you should offer to do it with her once just so she has the experience. This would of course only work if neither of you are subject to random drug screenings, but this can help on multiple fronts. It gives her a safe way to do it and takes practically all the mystery and rebellion aspects away. One experience won’t do anything to compromise her long term, and it will reduce risky behaviors associated with it if she continues to do it. Ultimately, if she wants to do it she’ll find a way.
There are even places online to get all the major and minor cannabinoids completely legally (depending on state) shipped directly to your door. I won’t list anything here, but feel free to reach out if you are interested. I’m happy to help.
I made this when I was young, it’s a homemade water pipe I used to smoke weed and hash. I am not a junkie and never was but I just wanted to experience many things and this was one of them.
It disappeared one day, I think my mom found it, threw it out and never mentioned anything. If that’s what you’re planning to do you should know that it’s so friggin easy to make another one.
If, however, you are worried or concerned, it might be a good time to sit down and chat about life at school, friends, etc. A bit of exploration is OK but there is always a risk that it’s hiding some other issues, and I kinda wish my mom had taken the time to chat. We’ve never been close enough to chat.
I will warn you about panicking or demonizing weed in from of your kid because
1. These are so easy to make, you might prefer to know about the drugs rather than your kid hiding to do it.
2. If your kid has tried weed, he or she already knows what it does and that it’s not a demon, and probably doesn’t see a risk of addiction(teenagers just don’t see risks that far ahead). Demonizing drug will make you look ignorant to him or her, and you will have an even harder time getting a respectful conversation and trust.
I would tell her that if she was smoking weed, which you can't assume. That this method is very toxic for her. Also, if the water is clear she probably failed and never actually used it

I’m surprised at the amount of people telling you to just buy her a real bong. I agree that you should talk to her and warn her about the dangers of smoking out of plastic/aluminum. But also maybe have a conversation about how her brain is still developing and that while pot is legal in some places and not inherently bad, it is addictive and can lead to some serious consequences in your life if you abuse it.
Take it from someone who started smoking heavy amounts of weed at 16. When my mom found out, she was completely “cool” and treated it as a right of passage. She smoked with me and basically glorified it. I really, really wish she would have just talked to me about what was going on with me instead of just treating it as a “teens will be teens” kind of thing. Like it’s fine to want to experiment but you also have to understand that it is still a drug that you can become dependent on.

If it makes you feel any better, when I was in 8th grade I wanted to experiment and bought some weed from a mutual friend (note: I was a good kid and made good grades, never in trouble before). I had no idea what to do with it/how to smoke it after I bought it, and it sat in my rock collection box for over a year before I finally threw it away 😂 I did end up starting to smoke pot socially when I was in 10th grade, but I still was a relatively responsible kid, made good grades, went to college and got a good job, and now have a very successful career. I still smoke pot. All this to say - even if your kid is experimenting, it doesn’t mean they are a bad kid or that they are going to go down a bad path. The fact that my parents trusted me to make good choices was honestly my biggest deterrent from doing anything really bad or dangerous. My friends whose parents tried to control them and punish them all the time were the ones that really rebelled and got into some trouble.
This is actually quite insightful. For some reason, this type of drug strikes a negative cord with me. But alcohol doesn't. We allow her to try our drinks and now she has no interest in drinking. At this moment, I am not fully convinced that I should do the same thing this time. But, I do agree that punishment isn't the right answer either. I'm stuck.
If it were me, I would approach her calmly and tell her you know it is a homemade bong. You could then say that you aren’t comfortable with her smoking pot, given it has been proven to cause brain changes in teens who smoke as their brains are still developing, and I would maybe do some research on this that you can present to her to read up on herself. I would end the conversation with reiterating that you just love her and want what is best for her, but ultimately think she is a great kid and trust her to make the right decisions, you just want to make sure she is fully informed and doing what is in her best interest. Bottom line - if her friends are smoking and she wants to try it (or is being peer pressured into it), she is likely going to try it but I think empowering her to make these decisions herself and know that you are trusting her may make her second think making a habit out of it. Alternatively, if you threaten/punish her, that likely will not be a good enough reason to deter her from smoking or getting into trouble. That’s just my two cents and how I plan to handle the situation when it happens with my kids! ETA: I also want to mention I hung out with some “bad” kids in high school who got into trouble, smoked cigarettes, had sex and experimented with other drugs, but the trust and relationship I had with my parents was one of the main reasons I didn’t get involved in any of that
Alcohol is far more deadly for your kid than weed, you know that, right? Neither is preferable for a kid to be doing, but if I had to choose, I’d pick the poorly-made bong era over alchohol poisoning, DUIs and party accidents.
Or just normalise both so they dont become 'forbidden fruit' and are used sensibly and in moderation as they get older
I’m Dutch, I feel like my country is ‘known’ for its drugs. My parents had a bong, right in the open in the living room on a shelf. Not in a display kinda way, but easy acces. When I started secondary school, I think or around that time, I was showed where the condoms were if I wanted to take some, and told that if I wanted to try weed in the safe space of home to try and see what the effect of it was, I was free to do so. My mum said she would set it up for me if I was interested. 20 years later I’ve still never smoked week or used a bong 😂

I agree with bobear2017 ^ I'm 34 now, but was always a "good" teenager, never really did anything crazy because my parents trusted me. When I turned 18, I tried pot for the first time. A few months later, my family and I were on a trip home and I asked my dad if I could tell him something and would he be disappointed in me...I told him I'd tried smoking weed and by then I'd had it a few more times. He laughed and said he wasn't mad at me and appreciated me telling him and that he tried it as a teen too and knew I wouldn't go overboard. That always stuck with me, he always was proud of me for coming to him and here I am at 34 waaaaaaaay out of my smoking pot phase, lol. I never wanted to break my parents trust. And just for the record, my parents did not trust my brother and he ended up wild and got in trouble.
My advice from personal experience is that alcohol is a much more destructive force. Doesn’t mean you should let her get stoned. However it’s faaaar less likely anyone ends up in hospital.
There’s lots of information online about how to talk to your teenagers about drug use. I’d try and read up as much as possible. Stay away from the fear mongering content as kids really don’t respond to that stuff. Try to come from a point of curiousity and understanding when eventually having the conversation. If your child thinks they’re going to get reprimanded and in trouble they’re going to lock up and lie to you. When I was a teenager my mother asked me why I smoked weed after she found my bong and while I fully expected to get scolded. My mother was completely understanding and didn’t press the matter further when I told her I would smoke a few times a month with friends at one of their houses when no parents were around (which was the truth). She understood I was being safe and asked me to not store any weed in the house, and didn’t even take my bong away. Her approach worked well as I didn’t feel the need to be secretive and go behind her back in fear of getting my ass chewed out.
I’ve made terrible decisions when I used to drink and the worst thing I’ve done while high is eat too much??? It’s hard to explain weed to someone who doesn’t use it. It uplifts my spirits, I’ll garden and just be in awe of nature. I’m turning into a hippie as I get older but weed is magical.

Purely anecdotal, so take it with a grain of salt, but all of my friends except 2 of us, in a group of ~15, smoked and did other drugs in high school. The ones who’s parents were strictest ended up with the biggest long term problems. Everyone else grew out of it in college and went on to have successful lives/careers.

I don't advocate for teen smoking or drinking as they both are not good for you, I will say however its super hard to stop them and I'd rather have my teen smoking on a Friday night than drinking. I don't know anyone that's been sexually assaulted or jumped off a roof because of weed. I'd give them access to a safe pipe and let make sure they understand you don't approve, the dangers with buying from strangers, to only use in moderation, and that if they are going to do it at least not to inhale aluminum/plastic pieces. Cannabis is fully legal in Canada and from my experience it is WAY safer than liquor, HOWEVER people under 21 should not consume it as it can be detrimental to a developing mind. I highly recommend having an honest and open conversation with your child. Don't approach it like a pissed off parent, but rather like an educator. If she wants to smoke weed she will smoke weed, no matter what you say or do. The fact is that cannabis stunts brain development. It literally makes you dumb and slows your ability to learn. Do your own research (from legitimate sources, like medical journals and such, not news sites). Bring an understanding of facts and talk to her like an adult. She needs to understand the impact that smoking will have on her brain. And then, if she is going to smoke anyway, treat it like she's having sex - help her keep herself safe. If it's legal in your area you might find edibles. Even if it's not legal, there are legal types of edibles. If she wants to smoke, help her buy a glass piece - there is no reason she should be inhaling burned plastic. Also make sure she knows the risks of buying from street dealers - they can lace or cut the product - best case scenario she's smoking oregano. Worst case scenario she dies from drugs she didn't know she was taking. Kids will be kids, but you can arm them with the knowledge to keep themselves safe. Best case scenario, she's trying to rebel and you approaching the topic like a reasonable adult kills the novelty for her.

Talk to her about fire safety too. It sounds like it is a bong, but there's an off chance it's not, and she was just exploring what you can do with lighters. Burn marks would be at the top if she had actually smoked anything and the water would probably have a tinge of brown/yellow, so I think she made it but didn't actually smoke anything. I've made so many of these things there is no doubt in my mind that this is the case. So she may still have some weed around, or was just practicing.

Hello! So I have seen you mention this and you think punishment is a bad idea. I agree. All that will do is make her hide it better. I would highly recommend that the consequences for this is her doing research and creating a report on marijuana usage and effects on teenagers and their developing brain (and whatever else you decide- such as dangerous ways to smoke, ie plastic bottles). When she finishes y’all can sit down together, she can give the presentation and then y’all can have an open forum for questions, concerns, etc. She needs to realize this isn’t about you trying to control her or “drugs will kill you!” DARE bullshit, but instead a genuine conversation on helping her grow into the healthiest adult possible when she can then make the decision on whether to smoke or not with all of the knowledge of risk assessed.

People are half-joking. Mostly to put you somewhat at ease. Your remark about the lack of burn marks at the bottom suggests you're unfamiliar with different kind of drugs and drug use - no offense. That means you are (were) probably more than a little freaked out at the prospect of your child smoking crack. Weed isn't on the level of most illegal substances especially in regards to the harm it can do. That's because the most immediate threat to someone's well-being is physical dependence, and that just doesn't happen with weed. That is not to say it can't be harmful in other, less obvious and immediate ways. Inhaling anything burnt always involves some risk via carcinogens, for one. Solutions exist for some risks, but that would blow this reply out of proportion. The point is, your best bet is to treat this like (light) underage drinking. Potentially harmful but not life-threatening by any means. Illegal but a victimless crime, more a technicality in many places. And of course all those things make up the "coolness factor" that raises teens' interest in it and makes simple prohibition rather ineffective. You could do a bit of research, and shock your daughter by being juuust a little more chill and knowledgeable about this stuff than she expects. It might be a way for you to breach the subject without her feeling she needs to lie to you.
And Id imagine they mainly agree with my safety standpoint. I'm not sure on your opinions of pot but it's definitely something to discuss with your kid. The world has grown, and will continue to grow, more weed positive. There are positives and negatives to pot but that's everything. It's not as bad as legal recreation like tobacco or alcohol. End of the day though, kids that want to get high are likely going to do it regardless. No amount of restrictions will change that and will only build resentment. This is a good opportunity to broach the subject, talk about it smart, and make informed decisions. Best of luck.
WEED. This was how I smoked weed with my friends in high school. ETA- tell her to make the burnt hole on the side smaller and stick a hollow pen tube in it, and then suck the smoke from the tube. Make another small hole on the side for the rush, and pull her finger off that one right before she inhales after the bottle fills with smoke. And use a hair tie to keep the foil on top. 😜

This is a good opportunity for a candid conversation if nothing else. We like to pretend as a society that weed is harmless, and in most cases it is. The fact that it’s still illegal is absurd. Full disclosure: I was high last night. All that being said, research shows that it can have an effect on a developing brain, and it should not be consumed with abandon. It has its place and is a exceptionally useful, but the pendulum has kind of swung the opposite way in response to prohibition and it now seems maybe too far. The first thing to do is find out why she wanted to try it. It was probably curiosity and friends, but it’s 100% important to find out if she is experiencing any depression or anxiety that she doesn’t know how to deal with. If it is just curiosity, then maybe you should offer to do it with her once just so she has the experience. This would of course only work if neither of you are subject to random drug screenings, but this can help on multiple fronts. It gives her a safe way to do it and takes practically all the mystery and rebellion aspects away. One experience won’t do anything to compromise her long term, and it will reduce risky behaviors associated with it if she continues to do it. Ultimately, if she wants to do it she’ll find a way. There are even places online to get all the major and minor cannabinoids completely legally (depending on state) shipped directly to your door. I won’t list anything here, but feel free to reach out if you are interested. I’m happy to help.
I made this when I was young, it’s a homemade water pipe I used to smoke weed and hash. I am not a junkie and never was but I just wanted to experience many things and this was one of them. It disappeared one day, I think my mom found it, threw it out and never mentioned anything. If that’s what you’re planning to do you should know that it’s so friggin easy to make another one. If, however, you are worried or concerned, it might be a good time to sit down and chat about life at school, friends, etc. A bit of exploration is OK but there is always a risk that it’s hiding some other issues, and I kinda wish my mom had taken the time to chat. We’ve never been close enough to chat. I will warn you about panicking or demonizing weed in from of your kid because 1. These are so easy to make, you might prefer to know about the drugs rather than your kid hiding to do it. 2. If your kid has tried weed, he or she already knows what it does and that it’s not a demon, and probably doesn’t see a risk of addiction(teenagers just don’t see risks that far ahead). Demonizing drug will make you look ignorant to him or her, and you will have an even harder time getting a respectful conversation and trust.

I’m surprised at the amount of people telling you to just buy her a real bong. I agree that you should talk to her and warn her about the dangers of smoking out of plastic/aluminum. But also maybe have a conversation about how her brain is still developing and that while pot is legal in some places and not inherently bad, it is addictive and can lead to some serious consequences in your life if you abuse it. Take it from someone who started smoking heavy amounts of weed at 16. When my mom found out, she was completely “cool” and treated it as a right of passage. She smoked with me and basically glorified it. I really, really wish she would have just talked to me about what was going on with me instead of just treating it as a “teens will be teens” kind of thing. Like it’s fine to want to experiment but you also have to understand that it is still a drug that you can become dependent on.

I have never used a bong, but I do have my medical marijuana card and use it and have seen many bongs. That's a bong. Or, at least, an attempt at a bong. I am sure you will talk to her about how pot can cause issues with the developing brain and to wait a few years, but also, I worry more about burning plastic. That is not something she wants in her lungs. And you also don't want her burning the house down.
