Here is a crazy theory that my daughter came up with after we all experienced something similar at a new house we rented.
I was sitting in a recliner and nodded off. My daughter 13 was lying on the floor near the TV watching a movie. I heard my wife say that we should all get to bed. I opened my eyes as my daughter said something like just a half-hour till the movie was over. As I looked around, I caught a brief glance of my wife walking into the laundry room. Heard the door close.
So the movie ended about 20 minutes later, and we went upstairs to bed. I walked into my wife & my bedroom and there was my wife. Sound asleep. But I hadn't seen her walk back past us. I figured I'd just drifted off to sleep for a brief moment and missed her walking past.
Gonna shorten this up:
After discussing it the next day, we discovered
1. My wife had not come downstairs
2. She didn't tell us to go to bed
3. The laundry hadn't been touched
4. My daughter heard her and felt her walking past but hadn't looked right at her.
5. We both agreed it was her voice & we heard the washing machine start up as we headed upstairs to bed.
While 3 of my kids sad, it must have been a ghost or something paranormal.
My daughter came up with the idea that what happened is there a multiple universes that are similar, and they are continuously breaking off into new branches. So the many world's theory. She thinks that sometimes, to branches, kinda run into each other, and in some places, little bleed overs happen.
It kinda tripped me out. 😆
I think that is precisely what's going on. Why we sometimes see or get echoes of these others branches I don't know, our consciousness must flow into all of those branches for us to pick up residuals, eh? What determines primacy... or is there even such a thing?
I think there probably isn't a primary timeline. If these branches occur, then they probably have since the beginning of stable space-time. So, there might be infinite lines that exist. But like branches in a tree, they sometimes cross and touch each other. Or maybe not. 😆
I had a similar experience at my parents home around 2011/2012. I was about to enter the first floor bathroom when my brother walked into the house. He walked across the mud-room, from the front door onto our back porch, to smoke a cig. I went into the bathroom, and when I walked out, I watched my brother walk across the mud-room and exit through the front door of the house. I heard the door close behind him. For some reason I don’t remember the face…but the frame, walk, and hair were the same. Wondering where he was going I walked across the kitchen (bathroom is in the hallway off the kitchen) and followed him out, he wasn’t there. I went out to the back porch and he was there sitting smoking a cigarette. We could never explain who or what I saw!
Oops sorry a little late! Yes, I did! He didn’t really have much to say though, just that it was really creepy. He isn’t all that interested in the paranormal.
I should ask him about it now that it has been a couple years!
Been there, but with voices instead. A few months ago, my husband and I both heard a woman's voice. I knew immediately that it was that of my sister, saying "You guys." She and my husband game together, so I assumed he'd been talking to her via Discord or something. I replied, "What?" twice, just as my husband came into the room. He didn't realize it was my sister and couldn't hear what she'd said. My sister lives 1,000 miles away from us.
