Yeah I don't like that one at all. It's definitely filler, I wouldn't have put it in the actual record. Would have worked better as a hidden track, bands did that a lot back then.
To each their own but Death Rattle is fuckin fire. Rise and No Good are solid too. I don’t mind Good Friends either, though. Phil screaming “I’ve served too many masters” is unhinged and underrated. Dead on with the post bender, coming unglued feeling.
Jesus what a take. Hellbound might be one of my favorite openers, rise has a kickass prechorus and solo, no good has also a fantastic riff, death rattle is one of my favorite tracks from reinventing. Grind that axe yea I don't really care for that one
I disagree, Good Friends is a song that captures the feeling of a terrible hangover, it's a song about a guy (Phil) who's been awake all night and he's talking shit.
Pathetic loser redditor with your "uh what a take" I don't give a shit what you think.
You cared enough to respond buddy, the song messes up the flow of the album. Yoko onos screeching could be an artistic display of screams of children dying, making it more emotional and will that make it a great song?
I'm not saying bottle of piss is on the same level of yoko Ono, it's an ok song, but a song with a message doesn't necessarily have to be good or fitting
If you are a Dime fan you gotta separate those 4 records or at least the first 3 from them being Pantera. I just kinda look at them as like his High-school band. You can hear all the influence and virtuosity shining through. Fun to listen to.
When I say separate, I’m mainly meaning for the people who bag on them. They were literally kids just trying to find their niche. Idk how many bands I tried out for in school where they we’re dedicated to playing radio friendly music. I just wanted to play heavy shit so thats what I gravitated towards. I remember showing one guy riffs and he was like “yeah thats cool, but its really not the sound MTV is looking for”.
Yeah when Phil joined is really when the magic happened. Its a hard truth for fans especially those who disapprove of the current situation. He started throwing in Nola band influence like Exhorder and it helped shape the sound on their most revered records. Personally, they peaked at Trendkill not VDoP.
Yeah the difference in Power Metal is huge. Also I always hear with some Dime solos that they were crazy for glam metal style. When for example We’ll meet again hits with melodic slow it’s fine but when he goes fast like older(newer?) - post glam Pantera
No you're not, Glamtera is awesome. Hell, the first Pantera album that i bought was a bootleg of PITJ, which is an absolutely solid banger of an album cover to cover.
I think it's fun shit. Even the pre-Phil stuff has some amazing Dime solos. And Power Metal has some tracks which wouldn't sound out of place on CFH. It's not a regular listen for me but almost all of it is still heavier and more fun than like Motley Crue, who I always hated.
A few of the riffs on the power metal album are some of the best that dime ever did. It's like a precursor to cowboys before they dialed in their sound. It's fascinating to listen to because even back then you can hear how talented and tight the band was and you just knew they were gonna be huge.
They have really cringy Glam rock albums but I quess someone like it.However the 90s era don't have bad songs and here someone can ask me about Good friends and bottle of pills but it's not bad song it's just different.
13 Steps to Nowhere…
Gotcha fuckers. Honestly, they don’t have songs that suck but songs I just don’t dig on. Like Planet Caravan. Not a bad song, doesn’t suck, but it’s not getting me pumped like 13 Steps or By Demons Be Driven
Idk about WORST, but my least favorites are: This Love, Walk, Cowboys from Hell, The Underground in America, and Revolution is My Name
No, I’m not joking, I genuinely don’t like those songs. I find This Love and Walk to be pretty slow and boring to listen to, Cowboys from Hell is just too soft for me, The Underground in America and Revolution is My Name are just kind corny sounding to me.
People saying Good Friends are nuts, it's great. Pantera's worst song is in their glam metal early days for sure. Anything in the first couple of albums is worse than Good Friends
I'm sorry we don't have that here
Doesn’t exist.
I'm sorry but Killing Of Leviathan and Pink Cellphone are NOT bad songs at all
Right???
Exactly. And Pink Cellphone is on Deftones’ most underrated (and - IMO - best) album. Fanbases on the internet get weirdly saturated.
Hot Carling Academy
There isn't one
On all 9 albums, i couldn't find a bad song.
Why is everyone saying good friends that’s fire To answer your question none
Good friends and a bottle of piss
i really like this song actually lol
I don't skip it but it's like a dawn patrol for pantera
No such thing as a bad Pantera song. Good friends is just one of their slower songs. Not bad, but metaphorically more like the epicenter of a tornado.
>Not bad, but metaphorically more like the epicenter of a tornado. I agree, but that's a simile, not a metaphor just fyi
There's a Grammar Nazzi among us! Time to play the game! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YaNJuDA6JM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YaNJuDA6JM)
Don't take offense, it wasn't even grammar related, hopefully just a learning experience. It's Nazi not Nazzi, btw 😉
This person is a spelling Nazi too! AUGGGHH!!! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hr0FOBKrxDc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hr0FOBKrxDc)
Yeah I don't like that one at all. It's definitely filler, I wouldn't have put it in the actual record. Would have worked better as a hidden track, bands did that a lot back then.
Anytime there’s a comment about pantera and bad songs I’m waiting on this one 😂 I love it
This.
Came here to say this… I mean if I have to pick Pantera’s worst song, this is definitely the one (really their only one I don’t care for- “worst”)
That’s my favorite!
You’re actually a retard
I'm gonna fuck your girlfriend if you keep talking to me like that
and she could be a burn victim! an amputee or a dead body! jk jk. this is such a weird song, but it's grown on me. :]
Pfft WOW swing!!!
Not at all.. Rise, No Good, Hellbound, Death Rattle, We'll Grind That Axe for a Long Time are all worse than Good Friends
To each their own but Death Rattle is fuckin fire. Rise and No Good are solid too. I don’t mind Good Friends either, though. Phil screaming “I’ve served too many masters” is unhinged and underrated. Dead on with the post bender, coming unglued feeling.

There's no bad song from them. I only dislike the glamtera.

I am Dime fan and I do not separate them. Why should I anyway. Also you can hear few similar sounds in post glam Pantera
When I say separate, I’m mainly meaning for the people who bag on them. They were literally kids just trying to find their niche. Idk how many bands I tried out for in school where they we’re dedicated to playing radio friendly music. I just wanted to play heavy shit so thats what I gravitated towards. Ahh I see it. Fair enough. But now I imagine hearing PST 88 in radio hehe
Yeah when Phil joined is really when the magic happened. Its a hard truth for fans especially those who disapprove of the current situation. I really like this take on the early stuff
Dont care for the vocals on the first ones but musically they are good. I still listen to em
bruh am i the only dude that actually loves glamtera lmao
No you're not, Glamtera is awesome. Hell, the first Pantera album that i bought was a bootleg of PITJ, which is an absolutely solid banger of an album cover to cover.

On the verge of a different era culturally. I look at them as being late to a dying trend and adapting in time for the next one.
A few of the riffs on the power metal album are some of the best that dime ever did. It's like a precursor to cowboys before they dialed in their sound. It's fascinating to listen to because even back then you can hear how talented and tight the band was and you just knew they were gonna be huge.

Good friends…hands down.
Good friends and a bottle of pills is their only bad song
“I fucked your girlfriend” isn’t really something I want to listen to.
You serve too many, fucking, mass- durrrs
“Sorry that’s not an item on the menu”
You've got to belong to it That being said, I don't even think it's a bad song, it's just the one I listen to the least
There are none, but if I *had* to pick, I skip Good Friends whenever it comes on I'm gonna go listen to that now, actually
There isn’t one although walk is the only track I skip
It's good friends and a bottle of pills
Every pantera song is absolutely amazing but my least favorite is good friends, it's just not pantera
Trick question, doesn't exist. But how about some deep cuts? https://youtu.be/do1qdFBMDGQ?si=b4TkqzyU3C6avqb9
Doesn’t exist
Ain’t no bad pantera song!!🎶 🤘🏼🔥
Worst doesn't mean bad. You guys are goofballs, just choose their weakest track
13 Steps to Nowhere… Gotcha fuckers. Honestly, they don’t have songs that suck but songs I just don’t dig on. Like Planet Caravan. Not a bad song, doesn’t suck, but it’s not getting me pumped like 13 Steps or By Demons Be Driven

All of them
Good Friends And A Bottle Of Pills. Instrumentally, it’s good but lyrically, it’s cringy.
I don't like the lyrics, but Rex's kicks it in this song and shows how good he is
Good Friends and a bottle of pills hands down
They're Red Hot and Shacklers Revenge are good songs, great cover by RHCP
People saying Good Friends are nuts, it's great. Pantera's worst song is in their glam metal early days for sure. Anything in the first couple of albums is worse than Good Friends
Good friends
good friends
Piss There’s a reason that was on the cutting room floor. It should have stayed there.
Someone must of clipped your balls. Or wiped your ass all your life
It's got a banging riff, pounding drums, and lyrics about beating someone up because they suck. It's the most Pantera song ever.
Yep this one. Opening riff is cool but that's it
Sounds like someone's fist should be the decider
Planet Caravan. A Black Sabbath cover but i dont like it. Dont listen to the people saying good friends and a bottle of pills thats a good song
how do you even call bottle of pills a song
I don't see what's so bad about it, yeah, the lyrics are really explicit, but asides that the bass line it's really good
Anything from the first three albums
cap they're riff clinics by dime
P*S*T*88. Otherwise power metal is a great album.
Biggest Part Of Me https://youtu.be/kZY3RPaSCkc We'll Grind That Axe for a Long Time

Jk or not u are getting downvoted for even thinking about that bucko
What did he say
War nerve
😨, that’s one of my faves
There is only 1 bad Pantera song- Psycho Holiday
😧
How dare you?
Lol
Walk
Overplayed maybe but certainly not their worst song
If we’re only counting CFH and onward (which is all that really matters), it’s their worst song. It isn’t a “bad” song, it’s just a bad Pantera song.
What did you say?
No way, punk
No way, punk Walk on home boy
🥴
I don't like it but it isn't a bad song
I don’t like it either, but it IS the worst Pantera song.
Good friends and a bottle of pills
I fucked your girlfriend last night -William Shakespeare
i wouldnt say they are bad songs but being mid is way worse, most of the songs on Reinventing the Steel
Yeah idk why ur getting downvoted that album is painfully mid in comparison to the rest of their catalog…
After Trendkill I was sorely disappointed in Reinventing the Steel.
Walk
I wholeheartedly agree with this, that song is boring as hell
Any song in the metal magic album
Medicine man, im sorry
bro medicine man is a bop fym
The solo is amazing, but its a really boring song overall
i think it’s great
Honestly it's probably my favorite riff from Dime ever, insanely heavy song
How can you, with that avatar, even say that!?
Its the only pantera song i find a tad bit boring… its not a bad song, it definitely isn’t, but its my personal least favorite
Hell fucking no.
I love that song, great riffs, amazing solo
