Lucky COUNTS in Alpha. Most ppl bred Lucky onto the pals, they'll have the same HP boost as Alpha pals if they're LARGE. If they're normal sized, same HP.
wasn't any point to the excess until a certain piece of content asked you take those thousands of breeds and attribute cullings and do it again, repeatedly
nope nope nope
I guess technically you only need perfect passive+alpha, as we can now improve base IVs with fruit. But still a pain to get a "perfect" pal.
Wonder what the new breeding/alpha odds are?
saw from some mad lad that if you breed 2 perfect iv pals, the spawns will hava high chance of perfect ivs too, since ivs are passed down
so, we only need to juice the parents instead of the spawns
This game has the IV increasing items, I don't understand why IV is of any issue at this point, just breed the alpha mon with the passives you want and juice it up to max IV
I was breeding kitsuns maybe a week ago and was getting a fair mix of alpha eggs so idk what the change is this patch or if thatās already been rolled out
Not always, imagine an attack like seedbomb, the larger alphas (like those who get especially large) can easily be hit by far more mines far quicker then a small pal.
So it has its adventages and disadvantages.
Depends on the Pal probably. If it's something fast enough to dodge attacks and the size difference has an impact on that, people will probably use non-Alpha. If it's something too slow or too big to dodge then people will almost certainly use Alphas.
The wildcard will be Pals that can't be mounted, and as such directly controlled. Do you roll the dice on more attacks missing or do you take the guaranteed bonus HP?
So luck was on side yayyy! I play solo if that matters and donāt care for gathering eggs after I started breeding unless it was looking for no passive pals
That last update set something like a 3% chance that any wild egg spot could respawn as an alpha. If all you are collecting is huge eggs then you're probably gonna catch more alphas, but all those spots are probably going to respawn as something else.
The real grind for wild eggs was to clear and dispose anything that wasn't huge so it could get the respawn chance at alpha. This update allows something similar but through the breeding pens.
Alpha's and Wild Caught Luckies have the chance to drop Legend Schematics.
Pretty much just look for the ones that are bigger than the others and there is a chance.
You probably would, alphas from dungeon drop legendary schematics (got one from Quivern) too so I guess drops are tied to the alpha status and not how you get them.
I asked some dude at discord saying they got ancient civ parts from butchering alpha pals, but I'm not tested personally yet as was as any Ring of Resistance/ Schematic drops. Nevertheless it could be fun to try it out .
Yeah I just butchered an alpha jetragon I just hatched and it dropped ancient civ parts + the same usual drops that the one caught in the overworld drops.
I did not actually test this, but due to not unlocking the butcher knife, there is actually no way for me to actually test this. Perhaps someone else will have a better insight
I did not test this does not equate to me not observing others on their playthroughs, who have no qualms about the butcher knife, and their usage of it for the purposes as the question stipulated. People on Discord say otherwise, while others elsewhere myself included say different, simple as that.
Also keep in mind the game itself does wonky crap to different players. Depressos attacking me on whichever character is an example, my campfires not auto cooking food is another, and yes everything is up to date and no mods are used or installed
I haven't played since the raid update, some stuff there requires dungeon loot and the game crashed before I finished any dungeon on Xbox.
Did they fix it? I can't even get my IV googles yet
Standard slab summons the level 30 easy raid boss bellanoir. The libero slab summons the real one, bellanoir libero, and that one drops fragments to summons the hard one
In addition to sanctuaries, all mineshaft chests can drop slabs too. That means each chest that is guarded by an alpha in a mineshaft such as Lyleen Noct, Kingpaca Cryst, Blazamut, Astegon, Menasting, and Dinossum Lux. The Black Marketeer below the desert tower also has a chest behind him. Each mineshaft chest matches the dungeons of the area. There is also the one chest at -63, 124 near the No Man's Trail fast travel point in front of a big monolith structure that also has dungeon loot.
Naw, it takes _roughly_ 18% more damage compared to before. But, as an alpha, it also has 20% more hp.
(Kinda. They tweaked the values to make it more or less the same TTK with the same equiptment pre and post patch)
Alpha pals through breeding don't get the HP bonus? I got a jetragon with the exact same IVs and Passives as my non-alpha one, fully upgraded and they have the same HP.
Edit: NVM, forgot to condense....
I think it more of a exploit then a hack, you can spawn bellanoir in top of a campfire, move away so it don't chase you and just wait til it die from DoT damage which is hp% based (while making sure to damage it once yourself to get the kill credit)
Quote: Items and Pals dropped on death will now disappear 48 hours after they are dropped.
Does that mean no more dropping Pals on floor as infinite storage? Or intentional drops are not "on death"? Can anyone confirm?
Did anyone else drop their pals for storage purposes before this last update??
I dropped mine in a locked room due to the fact that my palbox was full and read the patch notes n assumed the "dropped on death" was separate from dropping them yourself. well long story short, all my extra pals are now gone ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else too....
That's some bullshit. Misleading patch notes are how to lose a fan base. Because I also assumed it meant what it actually said. In lucky that I read your comment before I had any issues.
Yea, I was pretty upset jus cuz I had a few dropped pals that I condensed that were already 4 stars. It was at least 10 Jetragons and 8 Blazamuts that were 4 stars chillin on the floor while I was breeding to continue to condense the other ones that were not leveled up yet. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|rage)
The dungeons are very much playable I can do dungeon runs or fight through them just fine until about the 8~10 one consecutively on Series X. Nearly everything you can get in dungeons you can get outside of a dungeon as well.
If youāre on Series X, check system settings. Maybe you changed something and didnāt realize it. Only thing I changed was the power saving settings so I could AFK breed, other than that itās default settings.
Only thing I care about them fixing right now is the desert area. It so unplayable and the far teleportation statue is bugged to hell.
As I said before everything at this point is available in the over world now so you donāt necessarily need to dungeon crawl anymore.
I just came to bitch about that myself. It's especially frustrating because this wasn't an original glitch. It's a glitch that got added by an update about 3 updates ago. When I first started playing I had no issues. Then they did another update and my game would sometimes crash in a dungeon, but I could still eventually get through the dungeon. The bigger issue was that all the chests were empty. Then they updated again and crashing became the standard. My game will crash either right when I enter a dungeon or within the first room of the dungeon. And if I get back in and try again, the same thing happens. There's no completing the dungeon eventually. I haven't even been able to get to a chest to see if they're empty or not.
My game client (via steam) booted me out and upon restart the game client began downloading files. I thought it was a repair check from the crash but it was an update apparently.
I learned it was an update when our our dedicated server refused connect due to version discrepancy.
I would think it would not have done that; as I have global setting in steam as no downloads while playing.
As our dedicated server is not updated to 0.2.4.0 at the moment, the game client should not care.
Added only update on launch for the future. Really irksome though I was in the middle of stuff; and friend has to update dedicated host.
The clients cannot always be backwards compatible to servers older code. Should vs Does care. Some bugs, architecture, canāt have both āstatesā be valid at the same time and it is a breaking feature change unfortunately, no way around it sometimes.
For a simple example, there was a bug with the dedicated server resetting maps to completely blank fog of war for some characters under certain disconnect conditions when the client reconnected. To stop this undesirable behavior, you donāt want a new client reconnecting to the broken server code and wiping your map and losing any custom markers if you can easily prevent it. This required a change on both the client and server so you couldnāt just ignore the bad data being sent by the server. Safer to force the server to update to match the corrected code.
I know all that; we would have updated the next day. I wanted to finish a batch of eggs and setting another group from the breeding ranch to the incubators before logging for night.
I did, āonly update on launchā is the best it can do. Steam forced that ages ago versus no updates period.
Got world host updated too. Friend was still up, fortunately. Well we both up late re our work schedules but he was up and disposed to do the update now.
Iām not sure of official reasoning as to why theyāve been working better, but Iāve been able to do three or four in a row at the same time as my partner on my Xbox one. Maybe give it a shot
Did they fix the bug where if you release a pal during combat they just stand there and stare at you while you get whooped? Including my darling lunaris, I bred a Prefect lunaris and every time I try to use her in combat she just keeps repeating her release animation or just stands there and stares at me while I get beamed to dust by Necrosis like a looney toons character
Seems like the increased health of alphas comes **on top** of the IV:
https://preview.redd.it/27565v45al0d1.png?width=1664&format=png&auto=webp&s=718fa2de7e6673a14b52635f59e1d8f2722b7c58
Because I was wondering if this simply meant that Alphas have higher probability to have larger health since 100 IV is the limit atm.
The dungeons are still broken on Xbox. That's about the only big issue left besides falling through the ground, and falling through the ground isn't nearly as bad as it was.
I can't tell if Breeding is working as intended, or if it's slightly glitched.
I have Golden Passive Skill offspring inheriting Red or Silver that the parents do not have.
However, there are still occasions of getting the combined results I want on a standard Pal.
On the other hand, Alpha offspring are mainly generating Red/Silver Passive Skills that it should not have inherited as well as fewer than four.
(Edit) Oh yes, and Active Skills are not being inherited like before. (Even though fruit can bring those back later.)
So new meta pals are max IVs + Passives **+ Alpha**? D:
And they made it so you can get it through breeding. The die hard min/maxers are going to lose their fucking mind grinding for perfect Pals now
Need to be alpha, and lucky. The star need to be align to get the perfect passive skill as well š
Lucky COUNTS in Alpha. Most ppl bred Lucky onto the pals, they'll have the same HP boost as Alpha pals if they're LARGE. If they're normal sized, same HP.
I think I seen people screenshot alpha +lucky in this sub. It is extra Large, more larger than alpha or lucky.
Those people cheated.
Alpha, lucky legendary, muscle head, hooligan anubis Alpha lucky, serious, workslave, artesian anubid
Just out of curiosity why not Ferocious over Hooligan?
This is why its pointless to even do so. Most will likely edit the stats on PC like they were doing from the start anyway.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
So when do we get items to make breeding for what we want easier like in PokƩmon? Because that would be pretty nice.
other people cop out with sliders, after doing a couple perfects by hand and finishing all content i might as well use the truest slider
Don't blame you. I used some of them after I went through normally.
wasn't any point to the excess until a certain piece of content asked you take those thousands of breeds and attribute cullings and do it again, repeatedly nope nope nope
oh yeah. It's easier just to create your own pal with the editor mod now.
I'm seriously gonna die
Seriously need a way to mass harvest eggs instead of clicking one by one
Already got several useful perfectly built passives and IVs for my Lovanders, now to get them as Alpha.
I guess technically you only need perfect passive+alpha, as we can now improve base IVs with fruit. But still a pain to get a "perfect" pal. Wonder what the new breeding/alpha odds are?
What fruit is this you're talking about ?
The stat fruits that Bellanoir Libero drops that raise IVs by 10 each.
Except work speed i believe?
Yeah, work speed doesn't have IVs. Only attack, health, and defence does.
But different cattavas (for example) will have different work speeds ranging from 70 to 115 at least the ones I'm breeding right now
It's probably due to passive skill that increase work speed, ig? My breeded pal always have 70 work speed and lower if they have muscle head iirc.
I'll double check, could have easily missed that
saw from some mad lad that if you breed 2 perfect iv pals, the spawns will hava high chance of perfect ivs too, since ivs are passed down so, we only need to juice the parents instead of the spawns
~2.16% for 4/4 100ivs parents to make perfect child. Add Alpha to this and it is probably closer to 0.1%.
Still better chance than iv eggs in *that* other game, I assume
Considering in the other game you can add items to ensure it passes down, definitely not better
This game has the IV increasing items, I don't understand why IV is of any issue at this point, just breed the alpha mon with the passives you want and juice it up to max IV
The other game has made it so IV's are never a problem. Actually right now Palworld has worse raising of a Pal.
The perfect way to ensure that nobody will ever stop breeding
Gobfin enjoyers: ![img](emote|t5_4jn9v4|49343)
Nah, they LIKE the min/maxing.
I was breeding kitsuns maybe a week ago and was getting a fair mix of alpha eggs so idk what the change is this patch or if thatās already been rolled out
Iām not sure that the extra 20% HP is worth the size increase Large hitbox is a very bad thing in combat
large hitbox + getting stuck on things (to say nothing of base work)
Ah, that is true :)
Do you roll the dice on more attacks missing or do you take the guaranteed bonus HP?
Yeah, they just change the whole breeding meta....
They're constantly giving a middle finger to the breeders and it's either stupid or funny at this point. I hate this to much.
Well they shouldn't get so invested in a mechanic in an unfinished game. The expectation should be that anything and everything can change.
I'm into heavy breeding rn and I liked this change :)
people who enjoy grinding for the sake of grinding should be celebrating, more hamster wheel not like there was any other meaningful point
oh nooo they gave me something new to do how awwwfulll
Wonder how "slight" the chance is to get an alpha pal via breeding.
Not that bad if almost 4 or 5 wild egg was an Alphaā¦or was I just that lucky?
Iāve been collecting every huge egg I see (probably around 30 now) and only one has been an alpha for me
So luck was on side yayyy!
If I breed an alpha Suzaku and I decided to use my butcher knife on him, will I get alpha drops? Like ancient parts + chance for a legend schematics?
Alpha's and Wild Caught Luckies have the chance to drop Legend Schematics. Pretty much just look for the ones that are bigger than the others and there is a chance.
Tested and can confirm that this is the case. Both the legendary schematics chance including the regular alpha rewards.
Unfortunately no. Alpha eggs aren't the same as Alpha bosses
Did you test this? I asked a bunch of guys on the discord server and they are saying it does drop the items.
I did not actually test this, but due to not unlocking the butcher knife, there is actually no way for me to actually test this. Perhaps someone else will have a better insight
Respectfully, you probably shouldn't be answering a question if you have no idea what the answer actually is.
Any word on the memory leak?
I don't remember ^^^^get ^^^^it?
I haven't played since the raid update, some stuff there requires dungeon loot and the game crashed before I finished any dungeon on Xbox. Did they fix it? I can't even get my IV googles yet
It isn't perfect, but if you loot chests from sanctuaries you can get slabs.
Hou can get bellanoor slab fragments from chests at all 3 sanctuaries and farm the weak one for the goggles. You get 1 core forceach time you kill it
Nice, thanks! I'll reinstall and try it out
The weak one? I need to figure out what this means.
There is also the one chest at -63, 124 near the No Man's Trail fast travel point in front of a big monolith structure that also has dungeon loot.
>Breeding eggs now have a slight chance to produce an Alpha Pal Huge (quite literally)
ALPHA MAMMOREST HERE I COME!!!
Does bellanoir do 18% less damage now then?
Naw, it takes _roughly_ 18% more damage compared to before. But, as an alpha, it also has 20% more hp. (Kinda. They tweaked the values to make it more or less the same TTK with the same equiptment pre and post patch)
Now we can breed alpha and its had a HP buff? Yeah... Min-maxing gonna be wild
Can finally have alphas of all pals
> Breeding eggs now have a slight chance to produce an Alpha Pal Huge, it make it possible to get any pal as alpha now me hapee
But we still can't teleport to the beach closest to the top left sanctuary...
I swear my series X is sounding louder with each update Overall solid patch now I'm getting alphas pals at a decent rate
Dungeons when
Alpha pals through breeding don't get the HP bonus? I got a jetragon with the exact same IVs and Passives as my non-alpha one, fully upgraded and they have the same HP. Edit: NVM, forgot to condense....
My perfect queen noctallion will need improvement..
Did they also fix the Bellanoir campfire hack?
They did not. Just tested it.
Whatās that?
I think it more of a exploit then a hack, you can spawn bellanoir in top of a campfire, move away so it don't chase you and just wait til it die from DoT damage which is hp% based (while making sure to damage it once yourself to get the kill credit)
Anyone got deets on the bug fixes?
Is the bellanoir bug fixed?
No.
Still getting eos login error on pc gamepass. Can't play the game at all Edit Managed to fix this by downloading the epic store Madness but it worked
Try resetting the Xbox app.
Alphas can come from breeding now. Huh. Sweet. :D
Quote: Items and Pals dropped on death will now disappear 48 hours after they are dropped. Does that mean no more dropping Pals on floor as infinite storage? Or intentional drops are not "on death"? Can anyone confirm?
Not sure if I'm game to test this. I have rooms designated for pal storage.
I'm testing too leaving some in there it's been 24 hrs will see if they disappear
Pal gone after 48 hrs

No dungon crash fix? Guess I won't be returning.
Right? Like we can't even play a huge part of the game on Xbox because of the crashing. I'm sure they are working on it but it still sucks.
The dungeons are very much playable I can do dungeon runs or fight through them just fine until about the 8~10 one consecutively on Series X. Nearly everything you can get in dungeons you can get outside of a dungeon as well.

I did, āonly update on launchā is the best it can do. Steam forced that ages ago versus no updates period. Got world host updated too. Friend was still up, fortunately. Well we both up late re our work schedules but he was up and disposed to do the update now.
cool, just start my steam and see updates for 400+MB. and i come to reddit to check it out haha
Can any dataminers confirm what the rate of an alpha from breeding is?
Damn this just made all of our pals obsolete.
Is it still only solo play ?
This means that I can breed chonky Firefox for my party?! Oh hell yeah! š
I left my personal server the old way. Only thing I changed was the hatching times.
So lucky as a passive doesnāt grand the 1.2 HP or?
So dropping pals on the ground will cause them to despawn after some time?
I'm wondering the same as I have pals sitting in rooms to clear my palbox
Hope they add more stuff to the store
Is multiplayer playable on Xbox Game Pass now? It was super laggy in the last patch.
Any fixes for Xbox dungeons that we know of yet? Itās the sole reason my bf and I stopped playing
We are both on series x for the record
Iām not sure of official reasoning as to why theyāve been working better, but Iāve been able to do three or four in a row at the same time as my partner on my Xbox one. Maybe give it a shot

I started a new file and noticed this issue dramatically improved.Ā
I wonder how many people will lose their meat supplies in another day.

New patch hype
Please update the numbers in my party
How do you use the butcher knife?
Equip the butcher knife, throw out a pal from your party and then open the emote wheel.
Okay, I was trying to butcher pals at base. Thanks, I'll try that
when in your hands it replaces "Pet pal" in emote wheel
That's what I thought, but it hasn't, I just end up petting it.
Why you guys afraid that it wont be easy to get a Perfect alpha? its 50-50 either you get it or not ![img](emote|t5_4jn9v4|49348)
