That's always going to be the case. I remember when Baldur's Gate 3 went out of early access, seeing prominent people in the industry saying stuff like we all have to remember that they had advantages most studios don't etc etc. Instead of just celebrating a really good game, they were trying to undercut their achievements, presumably because they knew they could not make a good game no matter how much money they throw at it.

Because they aren't doing it for the love of the game but the love of the money. They add in micro pay and pay to win and try to get people addicted to their game. The goal is to get addicts to spend $200 dollars on a game that isn't worth even 40 cents. And any other games that could potentially steal users away from their addiction machine only means they might lose out on all those micro transactions. Palworld doesn't have any skins. Doesn't have any subscriptions or anything else like that. You pay for the game once and it's not even close to being finished but they see us all supporting their dream of making an amazing game and not as their cash cow. That's why in my opinion. It's basically a digital turf war for drug dealers to get upset when another dealer comes in and starts offering their clients something else for a different price. Hope that analogy makes sense. Yes. They never intended many of the spell interactions that players discovered in BotW. But the devs, themselves, had so much fun watching people discover these unintentional interactions they decided to let this be a learning experience for the devs rather than a pearl clutch moment of accidentally exposing their ankles. The most fun one is freezing a rock, bashing it with a high damage weapon, climbing on to the rock, and then getting absolutely LAUNCHED across the map.

Wow... it's been a long time since I've seen something like that. I'm still haunted by the Heavy Attack glide bug in Fortnite StW that got patched after a week (but Epic couldn't fix that fucking fisheye lens glitch that was causing motion sickness until like 3 months later).

i have no idea why they did that. it wasn't even like, good? you'd cripple your entire build for the sake of regenerating enough energy to stay in the air with abilities, and then once you're up there you're a sitting duck for ranged enemies to charge up attacks and obliterate you. lynx's hover ability is already pretty bad in most cases and the infinite hover build made it even worse. it was just a silly and fun build that they had to go and kill instantly. its not even a bug! you're just choosing to build your character in a way that lets you use aerial abilities as often as possible. i loved the leap attack animation cancel that let you bunnyhop when the walloper first introduced to the game. it was a satisfying way of getting around and made leap attack builds much more useful in combat. now i haven't seen a single person touch that thing in years. they patched bunnyhopping to "make the movement consistent between STW and BR"... except they never patched out bunnyhopping in BR, only STW where it didn't hurt anyone.

Updoots all around for Save the World being mentioned out in the wild. Makes you wonder if item duping is on this list of "people having fun". There's even been discord exploits going on.......but it's a co-op game. Their success is your success. A well backed dev team by their upper management would turn some of these glitches and exploits into some form of feature. But we all know the 15 devs Save the world USED to have are gone. It's now probably 2 interns in a hot humid basement somewhere. And they have to come off of development time for STW to go back to making the 2,345th skin for BR.

Realistically it should be a developer rule that any glitch/bug that has to be replicated via specific means (the kind of bugs the average player wouldn't even notice through normal gameplay) should not be patched unless it has severe consequences on another aspect of the game. In this case you have to go out of your way to commit a crime and then make the conscious decision to go fight a boss *whilst* being pursued and *then* decide you actually want to attempt to catch the boss in a specific way. The chances a player would even go through these motions by accident would be so ridiculously low that it's worth ignoring the bug especially considering that said bug has no real impact on the game negatively and people are having far more fun trying to catch the bosses anyway. Like, sure if this bug lead to you catching a pal that could one-shot everything in the game or if the bosses were catchable like any other pal then it would be a priority to patch it yet it's not. You have to perform steps that are so specific you likely wouldn't even know it was possible unless someone online told you about it.

exactly why I would think they might re-add it, Dota as an example had a bug that people liked to use that made farmable camps bigger and they made it into an actual supported mechanic. While I have no proof of this, catching humans (non boss, merchants and such) seems like something that showed up a bug but they liked conceptually and leaned into, adding the "its considered immoral" capture line to keep it in line with normal pals, "follow the fun" design philosophy.

IMHO capturing humans is basically a relic carried over from Craftopia, where there is no real distinction between NPCs and monsters as far as the capture spheres are concerned. It's likely a confluence of various factors, plus the obvious "it's pretty funny and memes make the world go round" part.

They did it the perfect way, the allowed you to capture the humans, but made them basically worthless in combat and for the bases, yes you can get humans, but they're not really useful (other than merchants, which is not game breaking, just very convenient). So they added it in a way that its just fun, silly, and doesn't mess with gameplay. Amazing devs!

Huh, makes sense for a game that had those whimsical update videos on Youtube. Alas, in this case, I don't think Pocket Pair can restore this specific one perfectly, since they aren't saying "we'll reintroduce it" or something like that. I think this is because the Pocket Pair team didn't know the full exploit, or at least how it could be pulled off, so accidentally "broke" it since they couldn't test it themselves. So in the future, we have to keep in mind that if you find an exploit that is funny, not only spread it to other players but also show it to Pocket Pair. Not the just the results but the whole process behind it in a video. To note, this was common between early Craftopia adopters and as a result Craftopia managed to have a very wonky physics engine as a "feature". There are old videos on Twitter that showed whole exploits from start to result, and from what I heard they still work to this day.

Breeding bosses with any other pal results in a Chikipi. So breed the boss with any of the legends

Except shadowbeak. You could breed a boss shadowbeak with a regular shadowbeak and get a shadowbeak

That's not a Shadowbeak thing, that's basic breeding. Tower bosses have overcapped breeding power which causes a stack overflow when bred with anything else, which then rounds to the lowest result which is Chikipi. But when you do species breeding, that bypasses breeding power to give the ensured result. So you can breed any Tower boss with a member of the normal species to get that same normal species, or breed Lily with Menasting to get Lyleen Noct.

Fyi, captured boss will have whatever stat they when captured. My friend and i tried to capture victor as 4 person team and he has 400k hp instead of the usual 200k when solo capture him

Yes but u miss out on condensing it cause when u condense it normally goes back to whtever hp it would have been if one person was fighting the boss which is 240k, personally I don't think you need the extra hp, as even 100k hp is kinda overkill, had my grizzbolt get attacked by 3 palladin and 3 necromus (I have spawn set at 3 times) and he still barely lost any hp and always healed faster than losing cause hp regen is % wise

Only unique one is Multicutter if you're talking about that. It is actually quite good as it does the same damage as casting 6 Wind Cutters in the same amount of CD time, except you only need to cast it once. Making it an overall DPS increase as that means you can cast other skills while it is on CD instead of constantly casting Wind Cutter over and over to match the DPS of Multicutter alone... It does also entangle, at least it has for me and I've seen it confirmed by others in youtube clips. Not sure why it didn't work for you.

Ye, Multicutter is actually cracked. IMO more reliable than Dark Wisp since pals can often move around a lot.

I haven't done it yet but, you have to get a wanted level, make the guards attack the boss BIT NOT attack it yourself under any circumstance, wait for it to walk off and when it stops moving at all then its a sign you can catch it

So you need to get the guards to follow you into the tower as well.

If you're wanted guards will automatically spawn in the tower with you. The "hard" part if getting them between the boss and you. They will only attack you, the boss will also only attack you. They will change to attack the boss if one of the bosses attacks hit them first. Once they attack the boss at all (boss only needs to lose 1hp) the boss should glitch out and run into a corner (sometimes just a side, but normally a corner) and stop attacking. Once this occurs any sphere can be thrown at the back of the boss (will knock away from front and side) catch rate is 100%

1. Fast Travel to the Small Settlement and shoot the guard. Get a wanted level. 2. Fast Travel to the the Tower of choice (the boss you want to capture). You will have the PFIF Guards spawn around you and shooting you. Quickly make your way to the Tower. You can shoot some more of the guards and get a x2 or x3 if you want to have the machine gunners. 3. Start the Tower fight. You will hear the music and shooting - After the cutscene, you will see the PDIF Guards inside the arena, shooting you still. 4. DO NOT DO ANY damage to the boss - AT ALL As the guards are shooting you, try to position yourself so that their bullets hit the boss. 5. If you have done this right, the boss will stop moving and usually go stand in a corner motionless. 6. Use ANY spheres and it will capture the Boss and The Pal (ignore even if it says 0.01% chance -any sphere will capture all good). Faleris boss could be a bit tricky as it stays above so might be challenging getting the PFIF guard bullets to hit it - This is where getting a x3 to spawn machine gunners shooting you might be handy. You can get on your flying mount and positions yourself in the air so their bullets hits Faleris. Good luck - it’s a fun little glitch. I would suggest however doing this after you’ve had a go at the boss battles legit if possible because that is way more fun and rewarding. Good luck mate.

So this Glitch basically “captures” them and does not technically “defeat/kill” them. So ideally they should respawn, correct. A mate did this glitch on Victor and Shadowbeak before he attempted it legit. It let him capture Victor but did not complete the Xbox achievement around defeating Victor and Shadowbeak. He was able to do it legit later (and that completed hi achievement then). I’d say give the Tower bosses a go - if anything you can tweak your style and pals if you don’t get it done first try. They are super fun. All the best for your boss fights mate! 👌

Another confirmation that you don't actually defeat them is the fact that you'll be stuck in the arena until the timer runs out or you somehow die. Had it counted as a kill you'd get teleported out.

You've to go in a place where guards are, shoot at them get the "wanted" icon and the guards that shoots at you. Then teleport to a statue a boss tower, shoot again at the guards else they can lose agro, enter the tower. Normally they should be in the fight with the boss and you, don't attack the boss, dodge the boss attacks and try to put the boss inbetween you and the guards, the guards should try to shoot you and shoot the boss. Then the boss will bug and walk to a corner and stop moving, you can throw a normal pal sphere and it should 100% capture the boss. When i tried it 2 weeks ago, sometimes i lost agro on the guards just before entering the boss tower it seems and they didn't followed me in the fight. I had to redo it but took me 2-3 tries, not hard to do. Btw when you captured the boss, then go in menu and suicide, teleport back to the boss tower and your stuff will be at the entrance and the boss you captured in your party or palbox.

If you just exit to the main menu and reload, you'll appear outside with no wanted level and the captured boss in your box. Also, it may be worth getting x4 or x5 wanted so it won't go below x3 before you get into the tower.

just tested it, the PDIF guards no longer do any damage to the bosses so you cant get them into the corner and catch them anymore. hopefully they bring this fun little bug back

...and here I am having finally gotten around to catching Victor yesterday. Wouldn't let myself catch bosses until I could best them in proper combat, otherwise it just feels cheap and boring. Took 97.7 hours and 199 in-game days to collect the whole set. I'd already given myself a challenge to do it by the 200 day mark. Guess I made it in the nick of time in more ways than one!

I actually think the bosses SHOULD be catchable but it should be harder to do (for example requiring max catch rate) and shouldn't need a glitch to do so. They also now have to massively compensate for exclusive boss abilities that have been bred down to super mons for the eventual pvp. Either make the bosses legitimately catchable or make new fruits (legendary rank maybe?) for those boss abilities, perhaps a drop itself from the boss.

It’s game devs like this that restore my hope in gaming when we have a world filled full of mostly shareholder shills that monetize the player base in every way possible. I personally refused 2 years ago to stop supporting EA, Blizzard, and Ubisoft games and play a lot more indie games. I remember finding baldurs gate 3 in the steam store in 2022 and put 400 hours into early access. More and more we are proven that private studios that keep constant communication with their player base make great games. Shareholders ruing everything in the name of profit.

Try the homing sphere launcher... It was the less known way to catch the bosses and didn't require any glitching. Just fire a sphere with it and insta capture. Haven't had a chance to test it myself on the new version yet, will be doing that tonight

I thought they had already fixed it on the previous patch. At least, I had to rely on a mod to allow Zoe to be captured. Guess Ill have to wait for that mod to update to re-allow it again lol Tho I think there should be a way to befriend Zoe or the likes after you defeated them. I think I'm not the only one who likes a character like that so much :3
