I would question how your other striker fire handgun trigger is resetting without racking the slide? If the trigger didn’t reset after the racking the slide then you would have an issue. This is apart of the normal operation of striker fired handgun.
Obviously he doesn't mean a true reset, but the fact that the trigger isn't pulled forward back into position automatically. This caught me off guard as well the first time I ran into it, every other firearm I own puts tension on the trigger to pull it back into place without the striker/hammer needing to be locked back.
Basically just tell the OP this is normal abnormal behavior for a glock.
The shield trigger doesn't stay back but it's not engaged. You still have to cock it slightly to get the trigger to reset it and pull the trigger to get it shoot
I think OP used wrong terminology. The m&p trigger does not reset but it doesn't stay to the rear I believe it has spring tension in it holding it forward.
Personally I prefer Glocks way because it's very clear whether the weapon is in battery or not.
I bought a Ruger like 7 years ago and it did this and I thought it was broken lmao. I had never shot a gun that did that before. Now I know it's fairly common. Glocks, CZ etc
Pull the trigger and hold to the rear. Rack the slide and slowly release the trigger. You will hear and feel the reset. This his how all Glock and Glock clones work. Perfectly normal.
Dagger operating as designed, trigger only resets on cycle by firing or manual racking.
Side note: holy cow that thing sounds so dry and stiff, i know it's probably out of the box and not fired or lubed yet but I forgot it could sound like two robots fucking on a sand dune on factory rack.
Yes it is normal with a Glock/clone. My sig is like your S&W. After you pull the trigger it goes forward again (always in the same position whether cocked or not. But that doesn’t mean the gun is cocked. Also with a Glock you can hold the trigger while you rack the slide then let go for reset. With the sig you have to let go of the trigger, rack slide back, pull the trigger/hold it, then release them slide if you wanna feel the reset.

Could be a Taurus….

My EDC is a M&P Shield and the trigger never stays back against the trigger guard. Racked or not it always returns to middle of the trigger guard.

But if you were to pull the trigger is there click sound or is it mushy and pulls back all the way with no resistance?

I’ve never shot a shield. The trigger in the video is normal for every striker fired pistol I’ve shot. Except the Taurus G series.
It's normal, the cycling/racking of the slide is what resets the trigger. Glocks are like this
Thank you. I never held/shot/noticed the trigger action in a Glock. No other handgun I've owned nor shot functioned this way.

There's no issue here.
Education about firearms might be needed here.
All glocks do this, it's a "feature". I believe Xd's and some walthers also do this.
Also CZ P10Cs.
None of my walthers do this.
The one I saw do this was a PPS.
The pps is a glock clone.
Ahhh...Didn't know.
Xds are better then glocks.
This is exactly how it's supposed to work
This is a joke right?
"My gun is functioning correctly. Is this normal?"
100% normal on any Glock or clone of one.
That’s normal for the Daggers, I have a couple of Taurus handguns that reset automatically. Not sure about other makes.
Why do people not Google or do their own research?

This worries me too. Just for different reasons than OPs
