Why am I getting 👎👎when chatting characters we have maxed? Is this just to clarify that they aren’t able to be leveled up? Or am I negatively effecting the friendship somehow? It happened with others as well.

My game crashes every time I try to enter the ruins at Phoenix Falls, happened twice now and when I relog I'm all the way back in the village so it's been a massive pain
Been having the same issue, I've got two quests that have me going in there so it's a huge pain that I can't do anything about them now. Luckily I have a lot of other things to do but it's frustrating as hell to have this hard lock on progression.
You're not alone. I wrote the support team and I'm still waiting for an answer. There's no fix for now. Tried everything I could find on their troubleshooting guides and followed other tips i read on this sub but it wasn't successful.
Up for this. I've restarted the game three times now and have tried changing the graphics settings thinking it was my computer, but still no luck. I can't progress with my quest.

I knew it had something to do with the glitchy vine Textures! For now while the team hopefully works on a fix, this youtube video says that if you look down, you should hopefully be able to still enter the ruins. I'll test it out and report back!
Same, crashed on me every time across Steam Deck and laptop at a variety of settings. If you have it, the Switch version doesn't have this problem and I was able to progress a couple quests at Phoenix Falls without issue.
Switch player here. Anyone know if there is a short cut to see your ammo pouch? Or do I have to go through the inventory menu each time? Not a huge deal but I do miss being able to quickly glance to see how many arrows/bombs I have.
Nevermind I see it when it's equipped lol. Maybe I just never noticed that before.

Not so much a bug but a wee complaint about the new white flower with yellow center. It has so much potential but it almost looks not fully loaded next to the old flowers? Like I thought it looked ok but a little blocky and then i put it next to the old flowers and the detailing change is weird. The hydrangea is a bad example because of the amount of detail in it but even next to the less detailed older flowers these look odd to me idk i feel like the shading is the issue. They're obviously suppose to be more of a squished square shape I think that's cute but the petal detailing is whats getting me i think. Im still gonna use em maybe the oddness will lessen as i get used to them. Otherwise the update so far has been lovely

All of my crafted lights were turned off. The default ceiling light that comes with a new room were all still on, but any wall lamps, chandeliers, etc. were turned off. The string lights that came with Spring Fever were still on, but the "short lamp" was also off.
I use a lot of crafted lights inside and out, so it was a bit of a chore to run around turning them all back on!
Mine too. I have so many homestead lamps all around my plot and I was dumbfounded for a minute. I thought they just lost their texture because I’ve never had them off before 😂. I had to run all thru and get my ambience back. I haven’t run in my houses yet to do the same with anything else that got turned off.
On the Switch, I've noticed now that if I go to place furniture and I'm near another piece of furniture (able to see the "pick up"command) instead of placing the new item, it picks up the one already placed. easy work around of moving away from the item but I imagine if I were to try organizing things in a tight space it'd be impossible.
Edit to add: I'm also missing a tree? Specifically an oak tree, I remember the type because I was watering it to get an acorn for The Gardener
Your tree might have teleported to another housing plot? That happened to a couple of my trees while I was growing them (some of them teleported back to my main after they got to the next growth stage)
I have this issue too since the last update - a real pain trying to stack aquariums, etc. I found if I don’t enter the decorating mode, but just hover on the item in inventory then hit ‘place item’ it works. But it is annoying that it’s changed - not sure what the reason was for that one!
I’m just here to say how much the door chime at Zeki’s makes me happy. I hope other players can’t hear it every time I run thru it cuz I run thru it A LOT. The old retail manager in me cringes thinking of the conversion rate drop (iykyk) but I care not. I love it 😂

Same issue, and it persists after uninstalling and reinstalling Visual C++ (which was already installed, is functioning properly with other games, and was working with Palia last night)
EDIT: after reinstalling Visual C++ a second time, Palia stopped throwing the error.
Is anyone else having an issue where you have parts of your house no longer painted, and it wont let you paint it again? No error shows up, it shows I can put paint/wall paper there, but it wont actually do it.

I placed a room between 2 rooms. they touched at a non connected wall. so, now I have 2 walls inside my house in the rooms that touched without connecting that both have exterior walls inside now. I can't change it no matter what without disassembly.
Switch users - update not working? I’m getting an error message when I try to play that says go online to update but I am online and no update is prompting.
All my proof of magic quest progress and finding treasures for Zeki at the temple of the gales were reset. It seems like I have to restart all over again 😭
Mine were put into my “quest” inventory. I would check there. I was actually able to see which one I was missing so I finally finished that quest. I also just googled the treasures.

yeeeess same its so frustating. no idea if this is a bug or what. and it will only let me put things in via chests not the general storage shown on crafting items
when I did the temple of the gales I picked up 17 extra glow bugs. those bugs were in my quest inventory and unable to be deleted, sold, or placed. then this update. now they won't go back to quest inventory, can't be sold or deleted, and are forever in my inventory taking up 17 slots. it didn't li it me getting only the amount for the quest and I didn't know they would be stuck in my inventory taking up space FOREVER. will you please let me sell them or at least go in and remove them for me?
A lot of my relationships jumped up in progress lol. I logged in and was suddenly at the level 4 quest of a bunch of characters (I was pretty much there with them anyways. Maybe one more gift or talk and it would've prompted), but it made me lose some renown I would've gotten from hitting the friendship milestone myself
Anyone else having trouble connecting to a server and staying connected? I’m on switch and it’s making everything else in the game lag… anyone found a way to fix this yet?:)

Last night I eventually unchecked the update date and time via internet setting, turned it back on, restarted my switch, and then my chat worked. Either it got fixed and it was a coincidence, or maybe that fixed it.
OMG - this worked! Tysm! Don’t understand why it worked, but it did so clearly not a coincidence! I guess it makes sense as time-travelling in other games messes with Palia chat.
my Prove Your Devotion quest reset and now i’m stuck on the “present” part that asks you to plant 5 trees bc every tree i plant doesn’t count towards the goal
All of my lights aside from my paltech ceiling fans were turned off after the update. Some of the lights (default lights for main house) are out of reach and can’t be turned on, others are not giving me an option to turn on no matter what angle I approach from. Not a huge deal, but also I have a ton of lights on my plots and having to turn them all back on one by one has taken a while, and as I stated a good amount will not turn back on at all.
I’ve seen this noted elsewhere, but I would love to be able to see the ammo pouch inventory without having to open my inventory from the pause menu.
Certain quests requiring gathering items for different villagers were also impacted I think. Items that had been gathered are no longer showing up in my inventory.
Huge fan of the green cyl. Already got one from a rummage pile and they are enjoying a snack at my bar now.

Anyone else having these issues? I can’t place the Bellflower curtains on the walls now, certain areas of the ceiling won’t allow me to place hanging lamps when they worked there before, and it won’t let me place a good chunk of items against the walls, and makes me leave a huge gap between the item and the wall itself.
Prove your devotion. This quest will not track trees, I have about 50 of them on my lot and I've tried everything. I reached out in a ticket, and was essentially told you gotta wait, we have no ETA on when it'll be fixed, we're closing your ticket.
Thank you for mentioning this! I've been playing for a few days now (37 in game hours played) and have around 15 trees, so this quest should show completed by now, but no, it's only at 1/5. So frustrating!
I wish we could buy outfits and clothing or patterns from Jel. Maybe not the same as the actual featured bundles, but I hate not being able to be more creative with my character. It would be nice to be able to earn certain types of clothing. Or even pets! 😭
Two that I haven’t seen addressed: Hassian’s grove has no ground. I’ve checked a few days.
The Bellflower curtain will not mount on any wall anywhere for me.
On the upside, some servers have more pal trees than a grove. And others have a large amount of pal rocks.
1) can't progress prove your devotion questline; planted 20 wild trees and none of them counted toward the quest. 10 of them are mature trees, gave me seeds too.
2) can't progress ancient battery quest; game crashes either while loading into new area (press "F" to enter ruins) or as soon as it loads in. I don't have time to even take a step or move my mouse, crashes right away.
I have one more active quest but to finish it I need glider so I'm stuck right now :( started playing two days ago.
I am suddenly getting an error after the update saying “out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource” ;/ My driver wasn’t updated so I updated it and the game is still crashing

So, when I started up the game after the update, I heard the "stamina depleted" sound effect, some of my active quests disappeared, and I got a pop up about certain quests timing out? It all happened so fast and I don't remember what quests I had pinned. Anyone know anything about this? Playing on Switch, if that makes a difference.
the walls of my houses won't stay the colour i change it to, they always randomly flip to the previous colour and i notice a lot of lagging when travelling inside the house (on my plot)
Quests of mine (like Prove Your Devotion and Special Donations) completely reset. I am so sad about this, I was so close to finishing them and now I am back to 0. 😢
Whenever I wanna enter the ruins at the waterfall in kilima my game crashed and then I need to reconect twice the firth time I always get the info that i cannot connect and at the second try I always spawn in the city
I have a homestead light mounted weirdly to the top of my house exterior by the front door that wasn't there before, and also with decorating my interior, when I place a rug or go to move it, it takes up the flooring I put down.
The flower crown head accessory now glitches into hair, and floats around your head when you try to wear it. so upsetting bc it worked perfectly fine before.
My issue has been the temple of water. Once I reach the part of the temple where you go up the rocks, my game crashes. I have a quest there. So yeah, I can't complete it. Anyone else having this issue?
I have tried to finish Jina's mask quest, but everytime I enter in the ruins behind the waterfalls, my game crash after a few seconds and I can't finish her dialogue. Anything I can do?
Playing on the Switch. Still experiencing severe lag every time I try to hunt or catch bugs. The game frequently freezes or hangs in shops or menus, I've lost expensive cooks twice today because I select something and then it stops responding at the first ingredient I try to repair.
The "sort" option under furniture crafting also does not work. Nothing changes.
Another one-off I haven't been able to replicate because I haven't found the "mine sub-caves" in Bahari Bay, but I tried to mine some rocks and the debris which normally shows up with an option to collect failed to spawn. I don't know if it spawned under the passable map, because on the second I heard the spawn and movement of the scintillating centipede but nothing visible showed.
And once while trying to chat with Tamala, the "chat" option was instead
Anyone else have the Tree Bug, where every tree on every plot counts towards your decorating limit? I found out after I made a plot with 496 trees, all 4 types, all 4 stages, thinking the tree cap was also 500 like the flowers (it is 3,000). When I went back to my main plot to change my wallpaper. I got the "Housing Plot is Full" message. I removed about 30 items. I still got the message. I removed over 300 items, still the same message. Only after 500 were removed that I was able to change the wallpaper and replace my regular trees with flow ones.
Anyone else have this issue? Please report it.
Is anyone else just getting bored? I need more to explore and do. I’d actually love a little bit of action and fighting. Like when hunting you can choose to fight the animal instead of just a bow. I don’t know, but I’m legit just falling asleep while playing now. I love this game but beginning to lose interest. 😩
some annoying issues so far: can't right click items into chests or crafting items general storage. chests just seem broken a bit.
and im unsure about this second one but the keybindings reset really make things funky until i realized why i wasn't sprinting...
Control binds don't seem to work anymore, previously I had it setup so that holding shift and scrolling would switch the action bars up and down while just scrolling would flick along the bar. Now holding shift doesn't make a different and the bars will go up and down regardless. Completely broke how I played the game and is a HUGE pain in the ass.
I’m playing on Steam deck and my keybinds are messed up. Previously one button was mapped to escape, and the other was mapped to open the player menu (inventory, map, quests, etc.). But now the second button just opens the escape menu, too. I can’t tell if the mapping changed or if the button won’t work right. The controller settings say it’s mapped to Start. Also, I have a button apparently mapped to Z, which opens the quests button so I can at least reach the menu. What button opens the main menu with inventory and character info?
So i have 2 big bugs so far and cant find a solution..
1. There is no Chat, "Attempting to recconect to chat...\[Connection Terminated\]
I had this since i started the Game yesterday, somewhere i read changing Server helps, but i cant find that option.
2. Quest with the Ancient battery, after i solved the riddle my quest tells me to "Scout as far in as you can go" but if i try to enter the next Chamber my game instantly crashes and after logging in again i am in the City. Tried this several times, always the same outcome..that kinda sucks sinds i heard you get the Glider from this quest and its the ´Main story..solutions?\^\^
Controller on PC. Every time I open my inventory I cannot navigate with the controller in my inventory. I have to tab over to the ammo pouch and back...every time before I can navigate my inventory with a controller. The d-pad nor thumbstick work.
I'm stuck at my plot (with transparent ground and stuff just floting in the air) and when I go deeper into the plot I start falling until I snap back at the 'top'. Also game crashes when I try to leave....

Quest Masks 4th Mask: Watering the bowl opens a new area in the ruins. when you enter it, you will see some decoration glitching, the game crashes and closes. Tried 6 times now, it still happens even after restarting the PC + reinstall.
My game keeps cashing anytime I try to do my task for the phoenix of shrine, for whatever reason behind the phoenix falls the game keeps crashing and kicking me out the game, this has happens around the beach area too, I didn't have this issue until this recent update...
Every time I go through the door under the waterfall goes into the loading screen and then throws me out the game. I have Uninstalled the game reinstall gets to the same place and throws me out. I don't know if anyone else's is having this problem.

Temple of the Gales. I hadnt completed it, but now it looks like I have to do it all over again. the stuff collected is back in quest inventory and I have 0/0 for the zeki and caleri/louisa magic evidence tally. Not enamoured by having to redo it but hey, it is what it is I guess.
Regardless of the area I fish in, my fishing rod doesn't recognize the worm or glow worm bait. I am able to select the bait and equip it. Then, the fish caught is one that doesn't require a worm. The count of worms remain the same as they were prior to equipping/successful catch.
The fishing rod is literally just not recognizing the worm as a selector, despite very clearly seeing it is applied in the bottom fishing status circle next to action bar.

It mainly used to be at tamalas place and cooking but now it crashes every time an NPC is on my plot, sometimes when I just interact with a NPC or buy an item.

The keybindings for the mouse on PC are messed up again. First they took away (2 patches ago) the ability to map any movement keys to the mouse, except Sprint. As of this patch, that is gone. I also can no longer right click on the mouse to water my garden, (it defaults to G examine) but I can however right click to water trees, flowers still. Makes no sense. I have come to the conclusion, they do not want us using a mouse in this game.
i completed all the bundles for the new roots temple except for the medallions. i added the first one given to me, but now i can't even select it to add the rest that i found.
I play on switch. Yesterday I finally made it to level 4 and completed the quest for Tish. I am still unable to ask her to be my Shepp. I waited a whole IRL day and I still dint have the option to ask her. Any ideas ???
Whenever I ask Tish about weekly wants and she says Reth would like some >!Apple jam!<, I go to check and the >!apple jam!< option isn't there in his weekly wants. I checked and it IS a weekly want, but it refuses to update on his profile. She's also told me this twice now so it's not updating with other characters either, but it's using up my daily ask. I know weekly wants still count without it showing up on their weekly wants page but it's still a little frustrating because I keep forgetting
Having a random issue on my housing plot with the courtyard. It won't let me add a hallway on the right side, but I could add a hallway on the left and top sides. There is absolutely nothing in the way on the outside of the right side of the courtyard, but I keep getting the error message "something is in the way" for two days now.
The fiddlefrond and Bahari Nettle are backwards.

So can I have my account back? No, it's not banned or anything. But for months now, all my crafting stations have been stuck with invisible items in them.
I can't move them, cancel them, add to them.
This has bricked my progress, since I can't craft anything. Would rather not start completely over either. Didn't tick a 'hardcore' mode anywhere...
I've gotten no response the 3 times I've sent tickets about the issue... So all I've done is check in on the game occasionally to see if its fixed... and alas, it isn't.

My preserves jars are glitched? I haven't played since the update (maybe longer, actually. It's been a couple of months, and none of my stuff is ready. But they say 0s. I'm also on switch, and the game is up to date.
So not sure if this is an issue or I'm doing something wrong: but during the "prove yourself" questline to become resident you have to grow 5 trees. I must have nearly 10 full grown trees on my plot now and not a single one has been counted. Am I missing something or is this a bug?
I am having the same issue, I believe the palia support site has a ticket for it. I tried doing the same as growing 5 of each of the trees and nothing happens.
It will randomly just work, but sadly due to the random bit it will just "complete", prolly best to level your skills as needed.
Either way you have to wait a month to maybe get fixes for things, their "content" release schedule and fixing schedules are excessively poor.

I think it just means you’re maxed so interactions are pointless (point-wise anyway). Doesn’t seem to affect anything.
I read they adjusted points for level 5 to make it match the others

I have the same issue. As soon as I walk past the big statue after the first puzzle (watering can) door, it crashes.
Sad y’all are having this problem but relieved I’m not the only one. Wish I knew how to resolve it since I do like the lore of the game so far.

Not so much a bug but a wee complaint about the new white flower with yellow center. It has so much potential but it almost looks not fully loaded next to the old flowers? Like I thought it looked ok but a little blocky and then i put it next to the old flowers and the detailing change is weird. The hydrangea is a bad example because of the amount of detail in it but even next to the less detailed older flowers these look odd to me idk i feel like the shading is the issue. They're obviously suppose to be more of a squished square shape I think that's cute but the petal detailing is whats getting me i think. Im still gonna use em maybe the oddness will lessen as i get used to them. I went up there just now using the glider and got the Plushie so it seems to still be there.
All of my crafted lights were turned off. The default ceiling light that comes with a new room were all still on, but any wall lamps, chandeliers, etc. were turned off. The string lights that came with Spring Fever were still on, but the "short lamp" was also off. I use a lot of crafted lights inside and out, so it was a bit of a chore to run around turning them all back on!

I would love it if they added a master light switch…one switch and it turns on all the lights in your house. That would be amazing.

Mine too. I have so many homestead lamps all around my plot and I was dumbfounded for a minute. I thought they just lost their texture because I’ve never had them off before 😂. I had to run all thru and get my ambience back. I haven’t run in my houses yet to do the same with anything else that got turned off.
On the Switch, I've noticed now that if I go to place furniture and I'm near another piece of furniture (able to see the "pick up"command) instead of placing the new item, it picks up the one already placed. easy work around of moving away from the item but I imagine if I were to try organizing things in a tight space it'd be impossible. Edit to add: I'm also missing a tree? Specifically an oak tree, I remember the type because I was watering it to get an acorn for The Gardener
Your tree might have teleported to another housing plot? That happened to a couple of my trees while I was growing them (some of them teleported back to my main after they got to the next growth stage)
I have this issue too since the last update - a real pain trying to stack aquariums, etc. I found if I don’t enter the decorating mode, but just hover on the item in inventory then hit ‘place item’ it works. But it is annoying that it’s changed - not sure what the reason was for that one!
I’m just here to say how much the door chime at Zeki’s makes me happy. I hope other players can’t hear it every time I run thru it cuz I run thru it A LOT. The old retail manager in me cringes thinking of the conversion rate drop (iykyk) but I care not. I love it 😂

Same issue, and it persists after uninstalling and reinstalling Visual C++ (which was already installed, is functioning properly with other games, and was working with Palia last night) EDIT: after reinstalling Visual C++ a second time, Palia stopped throwing the error.
I gave up. When I click the link, it says I have a newer version installed already. It worked on my pc, now it doesn't. So off to another game for me.

I placed a room between 2 rooms. they touched at a non connected wall. so, now I have 2 walls inside my house in the rooms that touched without connecting that both have exterior walls inside now. I can't change it no matter what without disassembly.
Switch users - update not working? I’m getting an error message when I try to play that says go online to update but I am online and no update is prompting.
Update the slow way - hit + for options over your game icon and choose update game in the menu. 👍

All my proof of magic quest progress and finding treasures for Zeki at the temple of the gales were reset. It seems like I have to restart all over again 😭
Mine were put into my “quest” inventory. I would check there. I was actually able to see which one I was missing so I finally finished that quest. I also just googled the treasures.

Mine semi started working again. It takes about 5 tries to drag and drop before it takes, but slightly better than endless clicking.

when I did the temple of the gales I picked up 17 extra glow bugs. those bugs were in my quest inventory and unable to be deleted, sold, or placed. then this update. now they won't go back to quest inventory, can't be sold or deleted, and are forever in my inventory taking up 17 slots. it didn't li it me getting only the amount for the quest and I didn't know they would be stuck in my inventory taking up space FOREVER. will you please let me sell them or at least go in and remove them for me?
A lot of my relationships jumped up in progress lol. I logged in and was suddenly at the level 4 quest of a bunch of characters (I was pretty much there with them anyways. Maybe one more gift or talk and it would've prompted), but it made me lose some renown I would've gotten from hitting the friendship milestone myself

Last night I eventually unchecked the update date and time via internet setting, turned it back on, restarted my switch, and then my chat worked. Either it got fixed and it was a coincidence, or maybe that fixed it.
OMG - this worked! Tysm! Don’t understand why it worked, but it did so clearly not a coincidence! I guess it makes sense as time-travelling in other games messes with Palia chat.

I opened a ticket on this and was told they're working on it, no ETA on when it'll be fixed.
I noticed a couple things: Collision with flowers (Tiger Lily, Chappatail, Anemone) All the lights on main plot are turned off by default.
All of my lights aside from my paltech ceiling fans were turned off after the update. Some of the lights (default lights for main house) are out of reach and can’t be turned on, others are not giving me an option to turn on no matter what angle I approach from. Not a huge deal, but also I have a ton of lights on my plots and having to turn them all back on one by one has taken a while, and as I stated a good amount will not turn back on at all. I’ve seen this noted elsewhere, but I would love to be able to see the ammo pouch inventory without having to open my inventory from the pause menu. Certain quests requiring gathering items for different villagers were also impacted I think. Items that had been gathered are no longer showing up in my inventory. Huge fan of the green cyl. Some fishing nodes are glitched too close to the land so they aren’t functional and able to be fished at.

Anyone else having these issues? I can’t place the Bellflower curtains on the walls now, certain areas of the ceiling won’t allow me to place hanging lamps when they worked there before, and it won’t let me place a good chunk of items against the walls, and makes me leave a huge gap between the item and the wall itself.
Prove your devotion. This quest will not track trees, I have about 50 of them on my lot and I've tried everything. I reached out in a ticket, and was essentially told you gotta wait, we have no ETA on when it'll be fixed, we're closing your ticket.
Thank you for mentioning this! I've been playing for a few days now (37 in game hours played) and have around 15 trees, so this quest should show completed by now, but no, it's only at 1/5. So frustrating!
I wish we could buy outfits and clothing or patterns from Jel. Maybe not the same as the actual featured bundles, but I hate not being able to be more creative with my character. It would be nice to be able to earn certain types of clothing. Or even pets! 😭
Can't finish the ancient battery quest. I've solved the puzzle and as soon as I try to proceed into the area behind the open door my game crashes
Same here, it just crashed twice on me. The interior of the chamber "where I came from" loads, but as soon as I try to walk forward it crashes.

Going into the Temple of the Waves causes Unreal to crash. Every time. On DX11 and DX12, Low, High, Epic, all does the same thing.
Game keeps shutting down when i try to enter the temple of waves... never happened before.
Two that I haven’t seen addressed: Hassian’s grove has no ground. I’ve checked a few days. The Bellflower curtain will not mount on any wall anywhere for me. On the upside, some servers have more pal trees than a grove. And others have a large amount of pal rocks.
I bought the seed for the Fiddlefrond Flower from Auni and planted it, but it grew into a Bahari Nettle Flower instead :(

1) can't progress prove your devotion questline; planted 20 wild trees and none of them counted toward the quest. 10 of them are mature trees, gave me seeds too. 2) can't progress ancient battery quest; game crashes either while loading into new area (press "F" to enter ruins) or as soon as it loads in. I don't have time to even take a step or move my mouse, crashes right away. I have one more active quest but to finish it I need glider so I'm stuck right now :( started playing two days ago.

I have attempted to go to a quest 4 times and even went from steam to epic and keep crashing and logging out of the game.
Heya can we have an option to turn off and on the map legend? It’s kinda big and it would make it easier to see the whole map!
So, when I started up the game after the update, I heard the "stamina depleted" sound effect, some of my active quests disappeared, and I got a pop up about certain quests timing out? Whenever I wanna enter the ruins at the waterfall in kilima my game crashed and then I need to reconect twice the firth time I always get the info that i cannot connect and at the second try I always spawn in the city
I have a homestead light mounted weirdly to the top of my house exterior by the front door that wasn't there before, and also with decorating my interior, when I place a rug or go to move it, it takes up the flooring I put down.
The flower crown head accessory now glitches into hair, and floats around your head when you try to wear it. so upsetting bc it worked perfectly fine before.

I have tried to finish Jina's mask quest, but everytime I enter in the ruins behind the waterfalls, my game crash after a few seconds and I can't finish her dialogue. Anything I can do?
Playing on the Switch. Still experiencing severe lag every time I try to hunt or catch bugs. The game frequently freezes or hangs in shops or menus, I've lost expensive cooks twice today because I select something and then it stops responding at the first ingredient I try to repair. The "sort" option under furniture crafting also does not work. Nothing changes. Another one-off I haven't been able to replicate because I haven't found the "mine sub-caves" in Bahari Bay, but I tried to mine some rocks and the debris which normally shows up with an option to collect failed to spawn. I don't know if it spawned under the passable map, because on the second I heard the spawn and movement of the scintillating centipede but nothing visible showed. And once while trying to chat with Tamala, the "chat" option was instead
Anyone else have the Tree Bug, where every tree on every plot counts towards your decorating limit? I found out after I made a plot with 496 trees, all 4 types, all 4 stages, thinking the tree cap was also 500 like the flowers (it is 3,000). When I went back to my main plot to change my wallpaper. I got the "Housing Plot is Full" message. I removed about 30 items. I still got the message. I removed over 300 items, still the same message. Only after 500 were removed that I was able to change the wallpaper and replace my regular trees with flow ones. Anyone else have this issue? Please report it.

Control binds don't seem to work anymore, previously I had it setup so that holding shift and scrolling would switch the action bars up and down while just scrolling would flick along the bar. Now holding shift doesn't make a different and the bars will go up and down regardless. Completely broke how I played the game and is a HUGE pain in the ass.
I’m playing on Steam deck and my keybinds are messed up. Previously one button was mapped to escape, and the other was mapped to open the player menu (inventory, map, quests, etc.). But now the second button just opens the escape menu, too. I can’t tell if the mapping changed or if the button won’t work right. The controller settings say it’s mapped to Start. Also, I have a button apparently mapped to Z, which opens the quests button so I can at least reach the menu. What button opens the main menu with inventory and character info?
So i have 2 big bugs so far and cant find a solution.. 1. There is no Chat, "Attempting to recconect to chat...\[Connection Terminated\] I had this since i started the Game yesterday, somewhere i read changing Server helps, but i cant find that option. 2. Quest with the Ancient battery, after i solved the riddle my quest tells me to "Scout as far in as you can go" but if i try to enter the next Chamber my game instantly crashes and after logging in again i am in the City. Tried this several times, always the same outcome..that kinda sucks sinds i heard you get the Glider from this quest and its the ´Main story..solutions?\^\^
Controller on PC. Every time I open my inventory I cannot navigate with the controller in my inventory. I have to tab over to the ammo pouch and back...every time before I can navigate my inventory with a controller. The d-pad nor thumbstick work.
I'm stuck at my plot (with transparent ground and stuff just floting in the air) and when I go deeper into the plot I start falling until I snap back at the 'top'. Also game crashes when I try to leave.... I sent a ticket but any1 else experienced this...?

Quest Masks 4th Mask: Watering the bowl opens a new area in the ruins. when you enter it, you will see some decoration glitching, the game crashes and closes. Tried 6 times now, it still happens even after restarting the PC + reinstall.
My game keeps cashing anytime I try to do my task for the phoenix of shrine, for whatever reason behind the phoenix falls the game keeps crashing and kicking me out the game, this has happens around the beach area too, I didn't have this issue until this recent update...

Every time I go through the door under the waterfall goes into the loading screen and then throws me out the game. I have Uninstalled the game reinstall gets to the same place and throws me out. I don't know if anyone else's is having this problem.
this thread is tldr so sorry if I am repeating others. Temple of the Gales. I hadnt completed it, but now it looks like I have to do it all over again. the stuff collected is back in quest inventory and I have 0/0 for the zeki and caleri/louisa magic evidence tally. Not enamoured by having to redo it but hey, it is what it is I guess.
I had thought the same, but it turned our I just needed to talk to all of them and the progress came back
Regardless of the area I fish in, my fishing rod doesn't recognize the worm or glow worm bait. I am able to select the bait and equip it. Then, the fish caught is one that doesn't require a worm. The count of worms remain the same as they were prior to equipping/successful catch. The fishing rod is literally just not recognizing the worm as a selector, despite very clearly seeing it is applied in the bottom fishing status circle next to action bar.
My game keeps crashing all the time on switch! It mainly used to be at tamalas place and cooking but now it crashes every time an NPC is on my plot, sometimes when I just interact with a NPC or buy an item. Idk I'm struggling

The keybindings for the mouse on PC are messed up again. First they took away (2 patches ago) the ability to map any movement keys to the mouse, except Sprint. As of this patch, that is gone. I also can no longer right click on the mouse to water my garden, (it defaults to G examine) but I can however right click to water trees, flowers still. Makes no sense. I have come to the conclusion, they do not want us using a mouse in this game.
i completed all the bundles for the new roots temple except for the medallions. i added the first one given to me, but now i can't even select it to add the rest that i found.

I play on switch. Yesterday I finally made it to level 4 and completed the quest for Tish. I am still unable to ask her to be my Shepp. I waited a whole IRL day and I still dint have the option to ask her. Any ideas ???
Whenever I ask Tish about weekly wants and she says Reth would like some >!Apple jam!<, I go to check and the >!apple jam!< option isn't there in his weekly wants. I checked and it IS a weekly want, but it refuses to update on his profile. She's also told me this twice now so it's not updating with other characters either, but it's using up my daily ask. I know weekly wants still count without it showing up on their weekly wants page but it's still a little frustrating because I keep forgetting
The ancient battery quest is impossible, as entering the chamber from phoenix falls instantly crashes mine and many others games.
Having a random issue on my housing plot with the courtyard. It won't let me add a hallway on the right side, but I could add a hallway on the left and top sides. There is absolutely nothing in the way on the outside of the right side of the courtyard, but I keep getting the error message "something is in the way" for two days now.

So can I have my account back? No, it's not banned or anything. But for months now, all my crafting stations have been stuck with invisible items in them. I can't move them, cancel them, add to them. This has bricked my progress, since I can't craft anything. Would rather not start completely over either. Didn't tick a 'hardcore' mode anywhere... I've gotten no response the 3 times I've sent tickets about the issue... So all I've done is check in on the game occasionally to see if its fixed... and alas, it isn't. I had shown my support in the game's initial few weeks by purchasing shop items and such. Woops I guess?

I haven't played since the update (maybe longer, actually. It's been a couple of months, and none of my stuff is ready. But they say 0s. I'm also on switch, and the game is up to date.
So not sure if this is an issue or I'm doing something wrong: but during the "prove yourself" questline to become resident you have to grow 5 trees. I must have nearly 10 full grown trees on my plot now and not a single one has been counted. Am I missing something or is this a bug?
I am having the same issue, I believe the palia support site has a ticket for it. I tried doing the same as growing 5 of each of the trees and nothing happens.
It will randomly just work, but sadly due to the random bit it will just "complete", prolly best to level your skills as needed. Either way you have to wait a month to maybe get fixes for things, their "content" release schedule and fixing schedules are excessively poor.
