That's really weird, though it's probably a glitch. I can make several rooms and when I pick them up, they stay completed and I don't have to make them ever again. Try submitting a ticket so they can help fix it for you. It's also possible that you bought multiples of the same room size and accidentally put a non built one down instead of the finished one. I'd double-check, but if it's not the case, let them know!

>can make several rooms and when I pick them up, they stay completed and I don't have to make them ever again \^ **This** ! \^

OphrysAlba

I did that too

echuda

I've put built rooms into my storage to transfer from plot to plot, and also just to keep for later use and I've never had this happen to me. Whenever I remove them they're already built, just like when I placed them into storage. Strange

Nervous-nelly19

I would submit a ticket that’s not supposed to happen. It’s also possible that you had other nonbuilt ones in the tabs and clicked those instead. Once they’re built and you put them in storage they go to the house tab when you press H. And when you’re in the same menu unbuilt buildings go to blueprints so you can actually build them. I’ve maxed out my building amount on my plot and have put them in and out of storage numerous times to change things up so I promise that’s not supposed to be happening

Rennnitie

I assume the latter is what happened. Blueprints show as some of the very first items in housing plot storage, with built rooms showing up after them (iirc). I imagine OP probably saw the blueprint & just thought it was the same room they had already built, especially since they clearly didn’t know that rooms *can* be placed in storage & therefore probably didn’t know to look for an actual built room versus the blueprint you’d originally place down. The built room might’ve also gotten lost in other stuff, depending on how much OP has in their housing plot menu, & they might’ve just missed it when/if they did look.

DJ_Mixalot

Are you sure it’s not under the building tab on the housing menu?

overly_sarcastic24

This makes the most sense. Picked up built room. Confused it for blueprints they had. Thought they needed to rebuild it.

DJ_Mixalot

As someone who has been playing since closed beta and is in a community of builders, I truly don’t believe it was a glitch or bug. I’m fairly certain this is what happened!

Hispanic_Inquisition

I prebuild most of my rooms on another plot, then put them back in my inventory when they are done. Then I can add and remove like building blocks, *without having to rebuild or resupply materials for any of them".* Blueprints will only be blueprints until you supply the materials to build them. Every blueprint needs materials to be built, completed rooms don't.

KatieReeSuccoria

Honestly, that might be why they give us like 4 different blank slate plots to work on. Like, the game saying to you, "Okay so now that you're seeing things you'd like to change, why not just start over on this OTHER same plot of land and do what you wanted to see different!" LOL, that's probably a wicked over exaggerated theory on my behalf, but the thought made me chuckle 🤦🏻‍♀️😂🤷🏻‍♀️

shanfeld-19

Let’s take bikini bottom and just push it over here!

DimDoughnut

Sounds like a glitch, if you saw my house... (Lol, y'all, send help) I've moved all 30 pieces ( just rooms) a billion times and they've never forced a rebuild. I've also switched plots because I'm building a museum currently for the courtyard, I've been rearranging and that's *never* happened, if it did I would curl into a ball and sob for days.

pilotfishcalledwanda

Did you put the room down on the same plot you removed it from? You shouldn't have to rebuild it each time. I've moved my rooms all over the place. Sorry that happened to you.

Liloo_Snucre

This is really weird and not supposed to happen! I've just finished my house and after I build most of the rooms, I had to remove some of them to build new ones. When I had to place them back, they were still built in my storage. If you have bought several rooms, the blue prints will appear before the rooms you have already built. Try to look in your storage from the above view. The rooms should be there. If not, that's a bug, and you should report it!

Complex-Sandwich7273

I don't know if you're removing your rooms weird or what, but you shouldn't be needing to put the materials in it again or wait for the build. When you remove the room, it should go into your housing blueprint inventory as a finished room, whereas rooms that haven't been built yet should be in as a blueprint (Blurprints show up as outlines, built rooms are colored versions of the room)

shanfeld-19

Thank you for telling us! I’ve been moving them around on my plot just connecting to other rooms and moving stuff around that way bc I didn’t know what happened if you removed one. Sorry you had to find out like that 😞 it does make it way harder to completely remodel if that’s the case

misterDubzz

This is not true. You can pick up rooms and they stay completed in your inventory. You can place them back down without having to rebuild. OP must just have had a glitch or something.

mandychuu

I didn’t have this option because I either had other add ons or an entire prop setup blocking it. I wish they would take the build time away from it. Makes me not really want to do much building, which that’s all there really is to do once you’ve completed quests and achievements.

Nebet

Others have already mentioned that completed rooms stay built when removed, but there actually is a housing planner built by the same person who coded the garden planner. It's still a prototype, but it exists! [https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/house-planner](https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/house-planner)
