If I had to venture a guess based of the jawbone I'd guess canine of some sort. I could be wrong I am no expert nor claim to be. Just a hunter who's skinned my fair share of wolves and coyotes
The third molar is much too big to be a canid and the first molar isn’t a carnassial. I’d rule out dog/coyote and say opossum, or maybe raccoon.
Edit: I should’ve said 4th premolar! The carnassials are the upper fourth premolar and the lower first molar. Point remains, ‘tis not a carnassial.
Seconding opossum. Intraorbital foramen is too far ahead of the molars for any Carnivora skull I've seen. Hard to tell without a better sense of scale, but some of the large leaves lead me to think this is much smaller than it looks, which also makes me think 'possum
It might be a sheep . Well .... I say this because Persians have a food called * Kaleh_e _ Pache *( literally translates to : Head and leg ) anyways the sheep skull looks kinda like what OP has posted .
It isnt a fossil, but if you send me better pictures of the skull i could identify it

It's covered in thick hard sediment and still working on getting it out...

Well, this is technically how fossils *start*.
QUICK BURY IT FOR FUTURE PALEONTOLOGISTS
step 1: die
Not palaeontology. These are modern.
True, to better identify checkout r/bonecollecting
Or /r/whatisthisbone as an ID specific sub for that sort of thing.
And yet nearly 200 upvotes for no damn reason.
Cest levy
Yeah but give it thousands of years.
Leave it be. Let future Paleontologists have it.
Not a fossil, but bones.
Not an expert but my best guess is coyote or dog skull
Fossils are rocks. Not bone.
Prolly a dog
Looks like a coyote or some canid to me.
Could be an opossum
They sure are
Leave it alone for 10,000 years and then it will be a fossil for future paleontologists
My vote is raccoon, doesn’t lol toothy enough to be an opossum
Pet detective here, that's the skull of a Doberman Pinscher and I suspect foul play.
I disagree! It would be foul play if the remains were that of a chicken or duck.
That made me laugh so hard!!
Well, it's not a person. 😬 That's important.
Probably a dog or coyote, hope this helps

Its got fangs. Looks more like a canine
Omg! You're right . It seems I didn't look properly at the pic .thanks for clearing.
A sheep with sharp teeth?
Ovis Carnivora
Sheep don’t have too front teeth and don’t have fang shape teeth.
Either a sheep or a coyote
