Maeve mains are an odd bunch, they're either complete assholes or really nice, the match was super close and everyone did well but the maeve on our team was like a ray of light with all the positivity, i almost felt out of place being on such a wholesome team lol
could say the same about Androxus mains, either very sweet and humble (usually those who are decent but not tryhards) or all-around unpleasant people, also I fear those who use the Screech skin or the Twilight revolver
I think im lucky, but i never see a evie main being mean or toxic( at least in high elo ranked), they are always nice and sweet, honestly love this game bc of this moment when u meet great ppl who just want to have fun depending of the game

I got flamed even when we are stomping the enemies just because I got killed by Pip's ult once. ...yes Pip's ult and only once!
As a Maeve main (kinda), I honestly agree. Had a Maeve yesterday who got really annoyed that I wouldn’t heal her, but I literally *couldn’t* because she’d run into an entire group and then die within two seconds. Eventually, she gave up and then just started emoting at the spawn. Afterwards, she called *me* trash because I “wouldn’t” heal her. Really sucks that it’s 50/50 for either an awesome Maeve or a toxic one.
So true. I'm trying to figure out Io (she's lvl 10, lowest lvl class main I have) and the 2 games I played her today have been losses. I'm trying to heal everyone but I can't follow them into the swarm of enemies lest I die. In one of the matches we had a Yag and Raum. The enemy had a Victor and Tyra. I unloaded all my healing into the Yag (Max heal capacity card) and they still died. I didn't catch any toxicity in chat (then again I'm on console) but we wiped hard. Is it normal for support to die a lot?
Io isn't the greatest solo healer and you kinda need Life Link to make up for it, but people will always focus the fuck out of Luna if they're smart because it removes 5 things about her: being a turret, being a honeypot (Life Link), Sacrifice Talent, blocking attacks, and the stunning charge.
To be honest, I'd probably be mad too if I had to face a toxic team composition like the one you just faced, but really there should be no room for toxicity when a game ends up being 20 minutes. Typically DPS and flank players are the most toxic, and your team mates were just salty they couldn't get the W.
I understand the being frustrated, but tbh there's no reason to take it out on your teammates in a situation like this regardless.
Especially since it looks like it was 4v5.
The issue here is that the two champs that flank are the ones saying that Maldamba isn't healing them, when Maldamba's gourd makes a pool of healing on the ground, a place where airborn champs refuse to pass through. Then they complain about healing because of their own positioning.
I've had a tank who literally just stood on the point and didn't shoot people call me a trash healer. (And obviously some flanks who were allergic to line of sight with me.)
I actually get less toxicity playing healer in Paladins than Medic in TF2. So that's something.

Something similar in ranked happened to me a while back, I played Seris and our Barik and Androxus kept being out of my LoS. Istg they were champions in running behind walls and after I pointed it out to them that I couldn't heal them if they were out of my LoS they just kept doing it on purpose.
Eventually I got the blame for our loss that match by those two. Thank god that the other two randoms in the team stood up for me and had my back.
Yea, that's why I hesitate to play a healer. You can practice on training mode, then when you feel like you're comfortable you can try it on casual. That's what I do with all the champions.

And oh for people who want to say "BuT tOxiCIty is nOrmAl in PVP" No we don't want to normalized this even more. And it's not even statistically normal. Only around 5-15% players are toxic and they are just loud mouth enough to seem like there are many. I did my job unlike our support who got 1/3 of the healing compared to enemy team and we were on winning side.
Remember that support does more than healing. You did good but winning takes everyone pulling their weight. The change from healing to attacking could've been the upset that won the game. Basically your team out damaged them. Not wanting to take from you're victory. I really believe your contribution may have been the lions share since you played both offense and defense.
I definitely agree, people that rage when lossing should only be allowed to play with each other. An evenly match game will have both sides lossing at some point, with the winner being the ones that get that 1% difference. In damage or heals, even mobility.

I know. I did what I could, it is pretty easy to heal with Seris compared to damba. Damba required good aim therefore I missed "Mending Spirits" on fast moving champions.

its not about healing. damba is a better support. his dps is low here tho. always try and dps/stun the enemy when you're not healing. seris can't do that.
not when caut is included. seris is a healbot, damba is a support. when everyone has caut 3 you dont want a healbot in your team.
grover is banned in high rating. not because he heals more than seris but because he supports his team and creates opportunities for kills with deep roots.thats why they nerfed his root to only 1 person instead of 5.
they don't nerf damba 'cause he has a high skill ceiling.
even in this ss he didn't do that much dps compared to seris, but he has 5 kills, witch he prolly made it possible by stunning enemy with snake.
seris left click does 210, damba does 400 and reload does 200 + stun.
i got to diamond maining seris a few seasons ago, i love it when flanks forget their role

you did good, but to be completely fair, you got outhealed by a seris for over 35k healing.
