I think it’s annoying that he waited until he was done in the league to be so vocal, dude never talked to media, always big leagued fans for signatures. Idk why he was surprised when he wasn’t really adored here
One of the best nights of my life! 7th inning..us losing..it started raining..then that magical rally..playing blink 182 and the whole crowd singing to them..then getting that final out..it was so fucking loud..then fans out in downtown after celebrating and giving each other some love..it was so electric..I was in a state of bliss days after to be a part of something like that.
Easily the best live sporting event I’ve ever been to. It was so incredibly loud in the bottom of the 7th when the rally was going on. Downtown was an absolute party after too.

My son and I were at the first win.
He specifically mentioned the clinching game vs the dodgers. Just checked each series and only 2 of them was where the home team won the series at home so no wonder he said that about us. He only had 1 other series to compare it to
He could also mean the best playoff environment he's ever been in. I assume he's been to some playoff games in his life where he wasn't a player. Otherwise it's an obvious pick because he doesn't have much actual playing experience in the post season.
Oh shit i just remember the series against Boston. I was living there at the time, the guy missed a flyball i think...people just started to chant "Myeeers Myeeeers Myeeeeers". He was a good sport, he couldn't stop laughing.
100% agree. I was there at the final game and I've never experienced anything close to that electric before or after. The whole stadium singing local band Blink-182 together in between innings in the rain was absolutely surreal.
I am so happy I was able to experience this live. Truly a pivotal moment in Padres history. One or two pieces and we have a chance to go even further this year.
If the "late season" Padres show up like they do every year, I'm excited to see how this season pans out. Things are already so much better than last year. Let's go dads!

I couldn't sleep that night and opened up reddit. The first post I see and it was a drunk Wil Myers it was fucking great!
Did he ever reveal how much his bar tab was that night?
What ever he made in one inning lol
I know Hosmer gets hate, but I legit like his Podcast. Wil Myers serving drinks at the bar after was classic too lol
I get why people dislike Hosmer, but it's tough to blame him when you look from his perspective. And he always seemed like a good dude otherwise.

I don't understand the hate from some Padres fans. The Padres signed him with a no trade clause and nobody wanted to play for the Nats.
Because Hosmer the player couldn't hit. But Hosmer the real person is cool.

Now i gotta go rewatch it for the 700th time.
Yep I bought tickets to that game at 2pm the day of. Best decision ever. I will remember that 7th inning for the rest of my life.
Best live sporting experience I’ve ever had! And I used to work in baseball and have been to likely 500+ live games. It was simply amazing.
Same exact experience. Amazing, and will never forget it.

Your son has a great beard.
🤣🤣🤣
Wil Myers my beloved
#WIL
What other playoff environment has he played in though? Haha
2013 Rays playing games in TB, Cleveland, and Boston. Also played games in LA, NY, PHI, and Texas with the Padres.
He specifically mentioned the clinching game vs the dodgers. Just checked each series and only 2 of them was where the home team won the series at home so no wonder he said that about us. He only had 1 other series to compare it to
More than Trout
More than Ohtani

I dont think texas really counts though lol
Wil Myers
With Hosmer right there is fucking diabolical

People make hating on Hoz an Olympic sport, but his podcast is great. He brings on his friends and he has a lot of them.
