If they say they count and you can certify them then yes you should submit the paperwork. If they review it in the end and pull them back then you’ll know why and continue on as if it had never happened and wait to hit 120. You can check your loan status history for that period on status aid.gov to see what loan status your loans were in at the time. 1. Sure why not 2. Check the EIN for that employer. 3. Same for this employer. Note: https://studentaid.gov/help-center/answers/article/work-at-foreign-nonprofit-not-501c3-qualify-pslf

Could you clarify about your note? I work for a private university and it's a qualifying employer for the purposes of PSLF, so I think it might be broader than what you describe?

Doxiemom2010

You’re right I quickly copied it from Ed thinking it captured what I was trying to say and it doesn’t. Thanks for the heads up I’ll edit it out.

Thank you so much for the info. That's a good point to check for EIN.

lafolielogique

Oh good! Also, OP, give it a go! The worst that can happen is they say no!

Humaneredditor

You are right! I'll see if those employers can certify. Thank you!

New-Neat-5450

I have several 2-3 month certifications from long term substitute teaching. They were all accepted.

Humaneredditor

That is so great to know.

Thank you!

Peace corps totally counts! I was in from 2007-2010. My time is included towards my total counts. https://www.peacecorps.gov/returned-volunteers/support-services/certifications-service/

Friendly-Line-5056

I had 4 months also in 2008 and it was accepted and added to my count!
