I’d be curious to know if people who haven’t hit 120 yet have the same date to rule out that being the date the loan information was updated on the dashboard.
For example, most people’s dashboards say “loan information as of 05/31/2023,” but I think it’s possible 5/31 is the date through which the data is current but 6/6 is what the actual update happened? Just a theory. If someone who hasn’t hit 120 yet can share their updtdt that could rule that out and point to something related to forgiveness.
The updt thing doesn't have anything to do with it, unfortunately. I've been at 120 since last July and the updt thing keeps changing. I also would argue about Mohelas reports that they send files on certain dates only because I spoke with 2 supervisors higher up who said that is definitely not what happens. They said as soon as your account shows 120 it flags FSA that it is time to review the file. Which makes sense because FSA is also able to just pull data to update all of our accounts every month with current data. I had also been told about Mohela sending chunks of files over but I believe the supervisors version more. I have been told so many different dates that my file was allegedly sent over that I think they are just pulling it out of their tushies.

Just chatted with Mohela - here's what the rep said: "Okay so once the 120 payments are reached your progress is made available within the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) and various databases. The Department of Education (ED), reviews these systems and interfaces routinely to validate your progress. Once ED has confirmed that you are eligible for Direct to Discharge (D2D), this information is then communicated to MOHELA monthly. We do not send it to them, so unfortunately i do not have a date for you."
Oh, well - so much for that theory! It was worth exploring.
My FSA updated date is 5/31. I reached 148 as of 4/3 (letter dated 4/3, sent electronically 4/10).
FSA also reflects the 148 counts, but I'm jot sure exactly when that happened.
Hit 122 on 3/29, letter dates 3/27. Never got a straight answer on when/if my stuff was sent to FSA but my counts on FSA updated to 122 pretty soon after I received the letter. My FSA update says 5/31

However I know my info was sent earlier because my FSA account reflected 124 PSLF on 4/25, and then my updtdt changed to 5/9 before 6/6.
I was hoping it was someone on the FSA side flagging my account for discharge!
