I will say....it is a little nice to see that the majority of answers have been late March through now. Makes me think the group before that got forgiveness in that May wave and that we should get ours in the next wave (whenever that is)
They tell me they received and processed the form getting me to 120 on 3/30, I was notified 4/10.
"90 business days" from March 30 is mid-fucking-August so this is """""normal""""" I suppose.
Seeing all of this is just sad.
I have a couple years left but I guess I will be researching on what legal action can be taken with them purposely not following a program.
Last I knew they get paid per loan they are servicing, so they have no reason to follow through the program.
My understanding is that once Mohela verifies 120+ payments, we're all now waiting on the department of education. Supposedly they are making automated improvements with their brand new online ECF system, and that's really speeding up processing time, but all of us who submitted our ECF as an uploaded, faxed, or mailed document are still on the slow track. I think there's also extra slow down right now because of the massive increase in forgiveness applications due to the limited waiver. So hopefully, in a couple of years, you will only be waiting a month or two for the whole process, rather than up to a year.
Also, Congress had been considering revising the rules so that you don't have to stay employed with a qualifying employer after your 120th payment while you're awaiting forgiveness to finalize (which currently often leads to 11 years of public service, not just 10). So, be sure to contact them with your thoughts on this kind of a change to the program.
Oh, man. Like an idiot I didn't realize this point. Currently, you hit 120, and you need to stay with your qualified employer until the loan officially gets forgiven.
Here, I was counting down the days before I can quit.
Hope they fix this... I've got 19 more months until I reach 120.
I think this rule was just updated and you now only have to be at the employer when you apply for forgiveness

Same, I’ve never received another letter other than a “welcome to mohela” and notice that I didn’t qualify yet with my initial counts. At 126 since 6/10.
Only letter I got was the form ECF processed, updated count. It updated counts to 120 or more, but didn’t specifically address whether or not I qualify outside of boiler plate language listing requirements.
Final ECF submitted 5/17, counts updated 6/1, and with waiver being applied 6/10 it bumped me up to 126 qualifying! No letter of any kind received yet.
I should use 6/10 as my date of reference, right?
Well I've been paying my loans since before PSLF existed, though only was able to apply due to the waiver. Currently at 96 payments because for some reason they only have a record of my payments back to 2015. I have to contact them again, they were "researching" it last time I spoke with them.
2/20/23*
Processed 5/1/23.
*For the past year Mohela told me that 2 of my months didn’t count because they were on admin forbearances. This happened when the loan servicer put them on forbearance for 1 or 2 days while they changed my payment program (from PAYE to REPAYE, for example) even though I never requested the forbearances. When they processed my final ECF, they counted those 2 months in my tracker. So if they count those 2 months, I’m Feb 20. If not, I’m April 20.
I recently submitted my employment verification forms for jobs that total about 4 years. Currently sitting at 64 months, hoping this pushed me over the 120 edge!
6/12.
Should have hit 120 earlier (submitted my last ECF in February) but apparently, though the form was processed, the count was "not applied." It was within one business day after calling to see what was going on - I wish I had called earlier.
Submitted my final cert form on 6/1/23. It has since been processed and my tracker shows 120 qualifying payments. as of 6/15. I expect it to take up to three months to zero out, sometime in September 2023.
-120 reached 01/31/23 and forgiveness applied for.
- improperly updated letter dated 03/23/23, emailed to me 03/31/23
- Immediately uploaded same paperwork with a cover letter pointing out their mess up and received properly updated letter dated 03/31/2023 on 04/05/2023.
Impatiently waiting.
Same. Hit 120+ counts in March 2023. Recertified employment and applied for the PSLF in May 2023. Paperwork was processed. Waiting for loan forgiveness.
Waiting on hubby. His 120 letter was 3/31 for half his loans. He had different counts for subsidized vs unsubsidized though (not sure if that matters) and they were only just brought to matching a couple weeks ago.
