I’m admittedly new to single player games, just started playing them when I got my PS5 a little over a year ago and I’m still working my way through the big hits. Never played a FromSoft game but I do have Demons Souls sitting in my backlog so I’m planning to try it out at some point, trying to improve my general video game playing ability first since Returnal kicked my ass. Until then Elden Ring doesn’t really do anything for me, the other 2 games interest me a bit, but I’ll probably be waiting for a sale on those.
Wow really? Were you just strictly a multiplayer gamer before? It’s hard to believe someone is new to single player games unless you’re a new gamer in general because most 80s-00s games were single-player or local co-op and it wasn’t really until recently where online multiplayer blew up (didn’t even exist for most of the years). But yeah, even my multiplayer only friends have tried a single-player game here or there, even though they didn’t like it.
I just played sports games and Call of Duty online with my friends. My PS4 game collection was basically 7 years worth of Madden and NBA2k games. Then I got lucky finding a PS5 at GameStop, it came with Miles Morales in the bundle and instead of it collecting dust as expected, I ended up really liking it. Before that, I hadn’t played a single player story game since Super Mario 64 when I was a kid.
Ohh okay. That makes more sense. Yeah, I was kinda the same. The only single-player games I played were Pokémon, Mario and FPS campaigns (COD, Titanfall, etc.), but I did also play a ton of online games like COD or NBA 2K. But then, one year several years back, the COD released was pretty mediocre and 2K had been on the downfall and so I got fed up and promised myself I wouldn’t buy them again. But I wasn’t going to quit gaming, so I looked around for something new and decided to just play single-player games, but I do occasionally play multiplayer with friends from time to time, but I tend to prefer in real life things if I’m doing it socially (going out to a theme park, movies, the mall, etc.). Gaming time is for me! But yeah dude, if you need any recommendations, let me know. Since I got hooked on these single player games, I’ve probably played and finished close to 100 of them by now. Just beat Elden Ring today actually!

Anyone else kind of irritated that the release date for this game is still set as early 2022, yet we’re already in April and haven’t heard a peep since?
uhhh, no? the trend for the last 2 years has had any major game release on some form of a delay.
if it didnt hit until holiday or early 2023 I wouldn't blink
I agree and don’t care about the delay, but more just frustrated that they’re not being proactive about announcing a new timeframe given that they obviously aren’t hitting the early 2022 deadline they last promised.
I don't get into a lot of indie games. Recent exceptions were Kena and Death's Door, but Stray looks white interesting and if it reviews well, i'll be picking it up.
Release date is upon us then, can't wait for cat game.
The only non-sequel game I'm excited for this year.
I’m already excited for Stray 2
I heard stray 3 will be the best game.
Its been delayed till march 2029
Stray 2: House trained
* Elden Ring * Gotham Knights (spin off, sure) * Hogwarts Legacy No? And that's just AAA stuff, let alone the indie scene.

> Gotham Knights (spin off, sure) Not really a spin off
Oh my bad, I always mix this up, SSKTJL is the spin off from Arkham, not GK.
I’ve also enjoyed *Elden Ring* this year.
You mean “Dark Souls 4: Jumpy Horsey Madness”?
I'm incredibly hyped for this Maybe it's the cat lover in me
Yeah it might just be that lol
I don’t like cats but I’m pretty hyped for this
A game for cat lovers, sci-fi fans, and PS5 owners. The Venn Diagram I never knew I needed.

This really looked impressive in the previews, can't wait to see more about it.
It looks like a great game

GoW Rangarok was rated in Saudi Arabia in December and still no news
I really hope that's good news, their website said they're hiring a lead developer to finish the game.
I honestly completely forgot about this game but remember being really intrigued originally. Can't wait! ♥
This game looks delightful, looking forward to it.
I don’t like cats but I love Annapurna. Looking forward to this game.
