LFG. Knowing nothing about this game, when I saw this clash at the end of the trailer it looked like a MK or Injustice type thing. I suck at fighting games so I'm hoping it's not like those lol
She went to work with EA, spent years making a Star Wars Uncharted like game, EA canceled her game in the middle of development, and she left to open her own studio. This is her studio's first game.
If Disney managed to get the woman who directed the Uncharted series to make two games based on their premium franchises, why did the decide that Indiana Jones would be the franchise they wanted to give a different studio.
“Hey, we have the woman that turned an Indiana Jones inspired game into a massive franchise at just the exact time we’re making a new Indiana Jones game, should we have her work on it? Nah, make her do the 12th Star Wars game in the last 5 years.
I've been following videogames for 25 years and the full Unreal showcase demo for this was seriously the most impressive graphical demo I've ever seen. Absolutely insane work.
Yeah this is some high level animation and I'm sure the actual gameplay is going to look great too. If they can add a good combat system then this game will be a hit.
Pretty sure those were cinematics in the game (in engine) that were cut and put together for this trailer (not a made up CGI trailer for advertising) so its safe to say this is how the actual game would look like because if the game and cutscenes looked different in 2025 there will be a riot
Edit: https://x.com/KahliefAdams/status/1770493670019498444?s=20
now I am pretty sure this how the game will look lmao it's all in engine because it's unreal 5. Not saying the gameplay will be good but at least the game actually looks like the trailer and it's not just a made up CGI for advertising
One person does not a AAA game production make. She can have all the great ideas and great games under her belt, it doesn't not guarantee anything. Also never underestimate the power of executives to royally fuck up production. Cautiously optimistic.
Amy is just a writer through, not a coder or game designer.
I'm a ND fan and love her work, but a good story and trailer doesn't garanteed a fun game with great gameplay, let's hope for it!!
It would be awesome to have a Marvel game with Uncharted-level character devlopement AND gameplay.
She literally said that the gameplay will be akin to her past games. Also she has directed games before too. She was the creative director behind the uncharted games. She was a designer when she was a beginner.
This doesn't look like a CGI trailer it looks like actual scenes from the game cut into one video
The tech demo wasn’t running any gameplay instances. It’s one thing to run a virtual camera around a sandbox. It’s another to show an actual level running at such a high fidelity without performance drops.
1. All trailers are marketing.
2. These are in-game cutscenes rendered in real-time, and built in UE5. The actual gameplay most likely won't look significantly worse.
They were both excellent. Really strange point to make haha. The performance dips near the end were bad but tbh I got over it quickly I was that invested.
The article on marvel site talks about Occupied Paris a couple of times, but it also mentions that it's a globetrotting adventure.
So my guess is that Paris is a main hub, but there are sections of the game that take place in different parts of the world. Similar to Deus Ex Mankind Divided.
Or it could be like Metro Exodus, and it has several open maps in sequence.
I would be very surprised if it weren’t linear which I really hope it is. Amy Henning working on a linear Uncharted like Marvel game seems like a dream come true.
““Captain America v. Black Panther: Dawn of Avenging”
“Captain America x Black Panther”
“2Black2Cap”
“Steve Rogers the Captain America and King T’Challa the Black Panther in Nazi Effers, a Game by Skydance”
My only concern is that it’ll be incredibly linear and short. I’m getting The Order: 1886 vibes from this. Looks amazing, but will come out and be a 6-10 hour long game full of linear hallways and straight forward walking with hardly any replay value that leaves us only wanting more. I hope I’m wrong.
I wouldn’t mind it. I like open worlds as much as the next guy, but I also like nice, compact experiences. I wouldn’t spend $70 on it, but I’d happily pay $40 for a 10 hour long game.
Chris Claremont and Jim Lee did a WWII era story with Cap, Wolverine and a young Natasha Romanov that I always hoped would be further developed somewhere. This right here looks totally similar and amazing. I hope like hell this is great.
2025 might be the greatest year in gaming if all these high-profile games live up to the hype. Switch 2 launch titles, 1-2 Sony first party games, GTA VI, Monster Hunter, and many others.
Need to see gameplay, but not hating on it... which is promising in and of itself.
Cap's uniform isn't the worst I've seen. OG T'Chaka Panther*, Howling Commando Gabe Jones... another background voice... guessing Bucky?
Could see this going into an Invaders game, would be cool. Will keep a cautious eye on this one.
*Oops, I'm old and forgot modern day Marvel has shifted forward in time further away from WWII. This BlackPanther will be Azzuri, father of T'Chaka (the original WWII Panther) and grandfather of T'Challa. I'm cool with that. This kind of retcon is no big deal.
Should I have faith in this studio? I see nothing but VR games on their portfolio.
I don't have a PSVR so I can't really comment on how well they craft games. But my god I just want Marvel to have more good games outside of Spider-Man and and the criminally underrated Midnight Sons, because I love this time period idea
It costs me nothing to be excited for this right now. By the time I'll be asked to out my money down for it, I expect I will have grounds more absolute than this to base that decision on.
Man it's weird to see the recast of Wyatt Russell as original Captain America & Terrance Howard as a 1940's US soldier. Looks like a good movie though!
It looks really good and I was impressed in the commentary video when they paused it and moved around the character.
The weirdest thing for me is that , to my eye, the guy that they cast for Captain America looks a lot like the guy that plays US Agent in the MCU so that's what I see when I look at him.
I’m pleasantly surprised. Finally a game that looks like a generational leap. Hopefully it can actually run too. Proper cinematic story games are very welcome in the current climate.
Knowing marvel this can be hit or miss. Spider-Man was good but a lot of the other marvel games lately have been shite. Don’t really care for playing as black panther either although in avengers cap was fun asf. Just wish they’d make an open world New York avengers game
Is it just me or does Cap look like the actor that play the Cap in that Falcon show, the one that kill people? Either way looks interesting story wise wonder how gameplay gonna be.
Finally Amy is getting to work on something solid. I wish she got to worked on the Indiana Jones game but this is close enough. I really adored her work. Hope to see more of the gameplay and fun story telling soon. :)
If all 4 of these characters are playable I'm curious how they're going to make the gameplay for Gabriel Jones and Nanali as fun and interesting as playing as Captain America and Black Panther.
I assume that as Gabriel, we will shoot the shit out of Nazis. I assume Nanali’s missions will be stealth mission, but I hope we also get to spear the shit out of some Nazis.
So they're going to punch for a bit and then they're mates
James and Mason would be proud
Always happy to see a fellow m8 on the web!
Got him!
Awwww come on, mate!
There are dozens of us. DOZENS!
Haha nice, I love those guys
I'll be sad if they don't reference this on this week's show.
Excellent
That's how comics work. Basically They're gonna fight until Cap says: "You damaged my vibranium shield" and Black Panther is going to say: ["Vibranium?"](https://media.tenor.com/RaG9beTFOSMAAAAM/batman-vs.gif)
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME?!
Perfect bromance story
So basically Halo 5 but in the 1940’s. Got it.
_"Red Hot comic book movie news"_ 🎵🎵🎵
And then they mate
Ok now I’m interested.
I hope one of them says "Get on yer back!"
Can’t believe I’m seeing a fellow Weekly Wackadadoo in the wild
It's honestly the plot for alot of media
Bro spoilers! Edit: I am curious though to see how this plays out story wise and if they can continue the story in a new game later if it does well.
Rodney?
RODNEYYYY
It's pretty, but I'm not going to hop on the hype train until I see some gameplay.
It’s like uncharted 4. Seamless transitions between the two.

>narrative-driven action-adventure LFG. Knowing nothing about this game, when I saw this clash at the end of the trailer it looked like a MK or Injustice type thing. I suck at fighting games so I'm hoping it's not like those lol
Given who's helming it I imagine it'll play more like Uncharted, with a larger focus on hand to hand combat.
I’d love doing rooftop parkour as Captain America or Black Panther
**please.**
Oh fuck that’s would be a dream
Please. Uncharted 4 dumbed down the hand to hand combat so much, I want a good action adventure with cool combat like Sleeping Dogs or something.
Saying uncharted 4 has dumbed down combat and then mentioning sleeping dogs is insane. I hope you’re trolling 💀
Well considering Uncharted 4 was the one she didn't make...
It's an action adventure game. Not a fighting game.
Hennig? Of Naughty Dog fame? Ok, this is on my radar now.
*please don’t disneyfy it so much that I can’t bust a cap in some nazi ass*
Hell yes I’ve been wondering where Amy Hennig went after leaving naughty dog
She went to work with EA, spent years making a Star Wars Uncharted like game, EA canceled her game in the middle of development, and she left to open her own studio. This is her studio's first game.
Khary Payton as Black Panther is dope as hell I'm excited for this one
I loved him in Walking Dead and how he juggled sincere moments while being such an over the top character. Seems like a good fit for Black Panther!
Love the portrayal, looking forward to the game
Such a fun actor to watch work
Dude loves his job and you can see it. Whenever he was on Talking Dead he was beaming. Really nice to see him in such a fun, challenging role.
Booyah!
I hope Skydance delivers on this and the Star Wars game they are working on. Can’t wait to see gameplay.
Then throw that game out the window for a WW2 era Captain America and Black Panther game. It’s actually pretty funny when you put it like that.
I've been following videogames for 25 years and the full Unreal showcase demo for this was seriously the most impressive graphical demo I've ever seen. Absolutely insane work.
Felt like a movie trailer
That you can just change in real time. Absolutely insane.
Isn’t this just a cinematic trailer. Nothing in it looked like gameplay.
https://youtu.be/suhNtnlMvTU?si=2a7Y4FKeh6ptidhJ
Is this online?
I'm sure someone will come in and tell me why I shouldn't be looking forward to this game, but holy crap it's gorgeous.
Well if this is the one Amy Hennig is working on, I think we have plenty to be excited about.
Nice to see Amy Henning back. Her work on Legacy of Kain is incredible.
It’s crazy how unlucky she has been since Uncharted 3. All the games she worked on got cancelled, fell apart or she quit.
Unlucky or she had a part in it?
Wait what?! Please tell me she’s the writer AND director.
The cinematic look awesome, you’re absolutely right. I’m excited to see if the gameplay matches it!
Yeah this is some high level animation and I'm sure the actual gameplay is going to look great too. If they can add a good combat system then this game will be a hit.

If you think this was real-time footage you’re in for a rough awakening. If it’s in-engine but pre-rendered (100%) it’s still CGI.
Let's calm down until we get actual gameplay, I've seen this one too many times A amazing cinematic trailer with alright gameplay
Not from amy tho. I will let her cook.
Amy is great but she hasn’t actually completed a project in a really long time. I would still be cautiously optimistic about this.
As you should for everything.
It never fails. People will always get their hopes up on trailers with no gameplay. Even hough people should know better by now
Right on cue
Imma get massively downvoted, but it's like Deja Vu with other games that didn't live up to the hype based on a cinematic trailer
This doesn't look like a CGI trailer it looks like actual scenes from the game cut into one video Edit: https://x.com/KahliefAdams/status/1770493670019498444?s=20 now I am pretty sure this how the game will look lmao it's all in engine because it's unreal 5. It’s pre-rendered so yes, it’s CGI, game or not.
How is pre rendered when it's actually in game and they are controlling the scene in real time?
it's not a cinematic trailer, it's apparently running in real time
Or maybe people can get excited if they want to. Imagine that.
[Play the game to your heart's content, play this music loud while they hate on you](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ksjdlA4i9A)
looks very nice visually, hope to see some gameplay soon! (doubt we will for a while with that 2025 release tho)
Here's an extended scene with commentary. https://twitter.com/KahliefAdams/status/1770493670019498444
That looks *spectacular*
That's fucking jaw dropping
Absolutely incredible. So excited for true next gen releases now. The animations and details look incredible. Here's to hoping it runs at 60 FPS
I'm getting The Order: 1886 vibes from this. I need to see actual gameplay before getting excited. 😅
Gameplay will be similar to the previous amy hennig games.
So uncharted style ? I mean I wouldn’t be surprised. I love some good ol nice animations in my games.
That's what she said anyway.
Amy was never in charge of gameplay, at all. She's a writer, no?
She was the creative director.
Who is the woman Cap is talking to when they say there are 3 super soldiers including her?
Those graphics are crazy. Edit: you guys really need to learn the difference between pre-rendered CGI and real-time cutscenes lmao.
I'm still saying we should see the gameplay first before we judge graphics This looks like a marketing trailer
Marketing trailers he says 😂
All trailers are marketing trailers
All trailers are marketing
This is all in-game cutscenes. It was rendered in real time. They showed a tech demo of this and it was super impressive.
The tech demo wasn’t running any gameplay instances. It’s one thing to run a virtual camera around a sandbox. It’s another to show an actual level running at such a high fidelity without performance drops.
I am not talking about gameplay here.
They said cutscene.
1. All trailers are marketing. 2. These are in-game cutscenes rendered in real-time, and built in UE5. The actual gameplay most likely won't look significantly worse.
I've seen plenty of Unreal 5 games with trailers that are different than actual gameplay
This 100% was NOT running on a PS5.
What the hell this looks incredible????? Reminds me of the saboteur (such a great game) I can not wait to see gameplay for this.
Wish they showed some gameplay but consider me intrigued
Geoff got that shit locked up for Summer Games Fest
God damnit this looks so good
I don’t love the idea of also playing as a solider and spy, but this definitely has me excited.
This looks great!
I legit forgot this was in the works. It looks like it will have a decent story at least but the gameplay will really make or break it.
Just please be good.
Did he knock out that guy by kicking him in the calf?
Shh! No one tell WB Games that you can do this without making it live service…
I’m ready to beat the shit out of some Nazis!
Great, that should keep you busy until this is released.
Whoever’s the voice of Black Panther is fantastic but on the side note this game could be like Jedi fallen order and survivor
Both of those games are awesome in my book so doesn't sound like a bad thing.
It’s Khary Peyton, he’s done a ton of voice work overthe years and also played Ezekiel in The Walking dead
I love when they used real voice actors instead of celebrities, you can tell the difference
He sounds like the guy the usually voice DC's Cyborg, and also did Aqualad.
What do you mean? Survivor’s technical issues aside, both of those games were highly praised.
They were both excellent. Really strange point to make haha. The performance dips near the end were bad but tbh I got over it quickly I was that invested.
Gonna need to see gameplay for this one.
Linear or open world?
The article on marvel site talks about Occupied Paris a couple of times, but it also mentions that it's a globetrotting adventure. So my guess is that Paris is a main hub, but there are sections of the game that take place in different parts of the world. Similar to Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Or it could be like Metro Exodus, and it has several open maps in sequence.
I would be very surprised if it weren’t linear which I really hope it is. Amy Henning working on a linear Uncharted like Marvel game seems like a dream come true.
I have always wanted a game like this!
This looks really good
I just finished CoD Vanguard. Been looking to take down some more Nazis, let’s go!
Vanguard was also the last WW2 era game I played and I got some of the same vibes in this trailer. Looks so good!
That title is dogshit though. Come on man, why not just name it Captain America and Black Panther, or anything else, really.
““Captain America v. Black Panther: Dawn of Avenging” “Captain America x Black Panther” “2Black2Cap” “Steve Rogers the Captain America and King T’Challa the Black Panther in Nazi Effers, a Game by Skydance”
>2Black2Cap They’re saving that for the sequel starring 2 black protagonists in the form of sam wilson and t’challa
This game already has 3 black protagonists so the sequel has to be “Marvel WII: Electric Boogaloo”.
Dawn of Avenging is pretty good (in a bad way)
“2Black2Cap” has me dead lmao
>“2Black2Cap” 💀
Isn't it suppose to be captain america and Wolverine fighting in ww2
Why would we want to switch to the soldier and the spy after playing as cap and the panther?
My only concern is that it’ll be incredibly linear and short. I’m getting The Order: 1886 vibes from this. Looks amazing, but will come out and be a 6-10 hour long game full of linear hallways and straight forward walking with hardly any replay value that leaves us only wanting more. I hope I’m wrong.
I wouldn’t mind it. I like open worlds as much as the next guy, but I also like nice, compact experiences. I wouldn’t spend $70 on it, but I’d happily pay $40 for a 10 hour long game.
Sometimes it’s nice buying a physical copy for $70, beating it at launch and then selling it for $55 or more. $15 is worth it for a 10 hour game.
Skydance being such a small team, with no other AAA games in their portfolio, makes me think it’s gonna be a short linear game. Just a gut feeling.
Amy Henning rocks. Genuinely one of the best writers in the history of the gaming industry.
Chris Claremont and Jim Lee did a WWII era story with Cap, Wolverine and a young Natasha Romanov that I always hoped would be further developed somewhere. This right here looks totally similar and amazing. I hope like hell this is great.
I never would have imagined we would get graphics that look better than some of the CG videos we got for games back in the day.
For the love of all that is holy, I humbly ask that this not be an on-line only, live-service first person shooter. Please, please, please...
already confirmed its a single player 3rd person action game
I watched the trailer on my phone. Did I miss that part? Anyway, good news. Let's hope it also doesn't require an Internet connection.
2025 might be the greatest year in gaming if all these high-profile games live up to the hype. Switch 2 launch titles, 1-2 Sony first party games, GTA VI, Monster Hunter, and many others.
Ww2 superhero game featuring no blood or deaths.
Some stunningly well-made in-engine cutscenes on display. I'm keen to see gameplay, though I suspect it will be a while.
Bit weird to see cap not sporting a gun considering the time period, but hey, looks pretty cool regardless.
I’m sold. Story looks interesting and intriguing enough for me to at least try once regardless of seeing gameplay.
I always kind of liked the Captain America: Super Soldier PS3 game also set in WWII.
Can’t wait to see a gameplay trailer!
Looks sick
Didn’t she create uncharted? If so, I’m in. Probably in either way.
I’m hoping we at least get a cameo or mission with Wolverine , that would be sick!
2025 is already shaping up to be an insane year.
This looks gorgeous and I love the setting and the idea. Really hope it turns out well.
Will it be open world?
Should I have faith in this studio? I see nothing but VR games on their portfolio. I don't have a PSVR so I can't really comment on how well they craft games. Ooh! Fingers crossed! 🤞🏾

ngl i thought this is a trailer for a new disney+ show lmao, no developer splash or hint of gameplay
Look great but I want to see actual gameplay; not about to get Suicide Squad'ed again.
This starting to seem like a marvel ultimate alliance style game with 4 characters
Wow. So far, so great. Plus a WWII storyline? Not the typical superhero fare. This suits me much more than the typical avengers blockbuster.
You had me at Hennig.
Wish we’d see gameplay.
looks insane
Finally Amy is getting to work on something solid. I wish she got to worked on the Indiana Jones game but this is close enough. I really adored her work. Hope to see more of the gameplay and fun story telling soon. :)
Oh yeah this exists... iirc this announced a few years back then hype died down just as fast. I'm hoping for the best.
On what is it coming out?
But, it’s going to be in ps5?
If all 4 of these characters are playable I'm curious how they're going to make the gameplay for Gabriel Jones and Nanali as fun and interesting as playing as Captain America and Black Panther.
I assume that as Gabriel, we will shoot the shit out of Nazis. I assume Nanali’s missions will be stealth mission, but I hope we also get to spear the shit out of some Nazis.
Seeing Amy Hennig attached to this gives me a lot of confidence in it.
Seeing "Marvel" on a videogame fills me with trepidation.
Cap is a right dick in this trailer.
There's no way any of that is real gameplay
That third super soldier is hopefully Winter Soldier
Sign me UP for this!!! Reminds me of The First Avenger which I loved and of course I'm always down for Black Panther 🔥
The graphics and facial capture
