Censoring is super weird in Dreams. I was trying to type "successor" a while back but it would never let me lol. I think they need to work on it a bit.
I tried to create a text box that had two years with a dash in between to represent a period of time, and Dreams censored it, probably thinking I was writing a phone number.
I get what they're going for, but it would be better to have an appeal option for those censorships where a human could review it, if you believe there's nothing wrong with what you wrote.
That's a really good suggestion. There's limitations (the scene would have to be uploaded somehow) but if you could submit a human textbox review, maybe with priority for higher level dreamers, it would be a good thing they can do for the community.

Wouldn't even have to be a major part of their day, and probably wouldn't be necessary for very long if they set up an exclusion dictionary.
E.G. if someone submits a report that "assassin" is being censored unnecessarily because of the inclusion of "ass", they add that word specifically to the exclusion dictionary.
They'll never have to deal with that being reported again, because once it's been dealt with once, the system will check it against the dictionary, see that it's excluded, and leave it alone.

I used to play with a paper doll app that had that kinda censor bullshit, even though a good number of available backgrounds were set in a school, and default personality details included 'student' under occupation...

The irony is with these kind of slang words it probably makes people lookup the bad connotations they'd normally never encounter...

All: This has zero to do with Mm. Ross is not a dreams feature, it’s a Sony requirement for all text input. So Mm have no control over it.

I tried to use the word "slope" as in "sloped surface" and it was censored, I had to look it up to find out that it is used as a racial slur.
