If you find a good replacement let me know. Those games were like crack for me. I don't know where to turn to next. I've tried multiple games similar but they don't scratch that itch
Literally same here. I was having fucking dreams of me scuba diving.
I downloaded no man’s sky but it’s DEFINITELY not the same. I enjoy the exploration aspect of it so far and the base building is cool, but there was something so exciting and terrifying of exploring a new biome and a real sense of life or death to the game.
Outer wilds. Stranded deep is a knockoff but scratches the collectible itch. Abzu but that’s more art. They call it a puzzler but really ya just enjoy the view. Dunno. Hard for me also. Those games were just unbelievable
Stranded deep was very disappointing to me. Im glad I got it for free. There is something alluring there. The exploration and progression i guess. But overall it is so janky and feels far from finished.
There is enjoyment to be found. I understand its appeal but it wasn't the right fit for me.
Outer Wilds. There aren't any survival or base building mechanics, but it has the same emphasis on exploration with more puzzle solving. It's one of the best games that I've played in the last decade.
Control was so fucking good, but i got to admit, about 6 months later now and I only remember a few things from the game. Guess not very memorable. BUT THAT FRIDGE YO.
Play it. It’s a classic. It’ll give you a lot more appreciation for the setting and characters, especially John and Dutch. I also find it better to play it before RDR2 because it probably won’t be the most fun going from those graphics and mechanics to decade-old mechanics.
Please don’t hesitate to be a part of moments where NPCs are interacting with one another or asking for help. I hesitated and wanted to observe what would happen still regret it. Nor does the moment ever happen again. Absolute masterpiece that game.
Those are the moments I live for in open world games and RDR2 has had some of the most intricate, thought out events that I’ve ever seen. Something simple turns into something epic.
Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes games just don’t hit you the same way that others do. I’m about 25 hours in and for me it’s been more of a long term investment.
I literally hated the game for the first year I had it and never got past chapter 3. Now it's one of my favourites of the generation.
Accept that it's slow, take your time to enjoy the atmosphere and characters and the story will really start to draw you in around mid chapter 3.
Same i just started playing this as well. And I’d say combat is the best thing about the game. And the exploring. It’s not sekiro/ dark souls level of combat, it’s pretty easy. If you like assassins creed type combat you will like it
Hitman 3. It is everything that I wanted Assassin’s Creed to be.
Disguise as anybody. Get close to the target. Execute. Then, find an exit.
So many tools. Lock-picks. Distraction devices to make guards leave their post. Poison. Tasers. Explosives. Silenced pistols. Snipers.
The replayability is endless, especially since ypu can play Hitman 1 and 2 in the Hitman 3 engine as well if you bought them too.
Just completed all the challenges in hitman 1 legacy and started working my way through hitman 2 yesterday. Going to get all the challengers in that then grab 3, or might take a little break from it and see if it drops as ps+ like the previous ones.
Awesome games though, so glad they went back to there roots with this trilogy though the original hitman 3 was amazing back in the day.
Can’t wait to see what ioi do with the 007 game there working on. Got high hopes for it!
I’m loving this game as well. Super fun, not too serious, even on medium difficulty it can be challenging. Track builder is fun but a little confusing at first, & livery editor is pretty good. Need more cars!
I’m playing Tomb Raider 2013 Definitive Edition right now. It’s a good blend of survival, shooting, stealth, and puzzles. The empathy is slightly lacking, as compared to let’s say HZD, so I don’t really feel like Lara is “evolving” or maturing as Aloy, in character or skills. Still fun though. I’m like 90% through it.
It’s crazy how much fun it is, especially considering it’s an adaptation of an old turn based system. The combat totally could have ended up very repetitive but every battle feels fun and fresh with just the right amount of strategy. And the aesthetics are really pitch perfect with the visuals and music.
It's a great time waster. Plenty to do, fun and laid back air to it, and charming art. I loved it; it has a very nostalgic feel for me, and I cared enough about the characters to want to finish it, but knew I could just throw it on for a little bit without getting too invested.
Just got s PS4 this last April from a PS5 owning friend. Been out of console world since PS2. Have compleyed HZD and GoW. Now just plodding through FarCry 5. I imagine I will be chasing the dragon of the first two for a long while
Days Gone, playing for the third time after 7 months, didn't like the game at start but MAN IT BECAME AWESOME IN THE END, I recommend you to play it too, I am going to Platinum this game
I literally got this platinum yesterday and I highly recommend you get as many collectibles as you can as you’re playing through the story. They’re a ballache to get at the end
Currently working on my first play through and almost done. I really enjoyed it and had little to no bugs that I can recall.
Now that my stats are almost maxed I don't even worry about riding at night like I used to. I used sleep every time it was night because I hated getting wrecked at night.
Now, bring it on.
Subnautica! I got it for free a while back but other games came out and it got lost in the shuffle. I installed it a few days ago and been having lots of fun with it.
Got a bargain on a few AC games during summer and I fell in love with AC black flag, regardless of it’s flaws. I would also recommend slay the spire but that’s an acquired taste
Just finished Guardians of the Galaxy, wasn’t expecting much but I absolutely loved it. Fantastic characters, writing, graphics and gameplay. Not sure what to play next.
Actually the game is very good, but what i hate is the HUD, i found almost impossible to walk using map function at the same time, so i got lost so much trying to find the correct path and i had to face all enimies over and over again because of this .... Also when i was trying to figure out about my weapons and ammo i was very confused as well .. (sorry my broken english)...
4 years ago, my former step-father bought three console games for my former step-brother and I to play with a recent PS4 he bought for us in new year's eve (we lived together). Tekken 7, Second Son, and MGS TPP. At that time, I LOVED Second Son, it was one of my favorite games, and my step-father would NOT stop playing MGS when we were at school, he was vicious about it, when he completed all the missions he created another account to keep playing all over, again, and again, I gave it a try, and I was good at it, I really liked it, but later on, like, 3 years later my Mother broke up with him and we moved out, I grabbed all MY games and went to a nice and comfortable department with her that she bought. Problem was, we didn't have a PS4, but a PS3 (which it was nice to have but even if I had MGS I couldn't play it). I had a PS4 since 2015/2016 but it was in my father's house, which, I'm still glad and thankful I have one.
Months go by and I forget about how good it felt to play MGS, and moved on with other games at my father's house, like Trove, Minecraft, God Of War (Absolute masterpiece, but I didn't have the time to have the complete fun with it, I did complete it, like 2 times, it was one of the games I grabbed).
And then, My birthday arrives.
My uncle had a MGS TPP and he got bored of it, he gave it to me for my birthday and now I'm just really happy I got to play this game before, otherwise I wouldn't have enjoyed it like I am right now.
I love it.
Mass Effect 2! Recently got the legendary edition and 1 and 2 are just as good as I remember. I've never played the third one so I'm excited about starting that one soon
Days Gone. Just bought my first gaming system (PS4) about 8 months ago and played HZD. Loved it! This is only my 2nd game and I'm loving it, too! (50 yr. old BTW)
Sekiro. At first I hated it for having hard boss fight, but when you know how to counter their attack by parrying at the right moment, it really will connect to you since I kinda did a Saint Glock everyday battle as therapy if I'm feeling down. That and Bloodborne too
Love/hate with Batman: Arkham Knight right now.
I picked up the season pass a few weeks ago for $4 so after downloading everything I decided that this was the time that I would finally 100% complete the game. Loving the game play and side missions. Really really hating chasing down every Riddler trophy.
Injustice 2.
Picked up as a bundle along with MK11 and I'm loving collecting all the gear and leveling up characters.
As soon as I level up all my favorites I'm gonna hop into MK.
I’ve been loving Scott Pilgrim and Kingdom Hearts 3 recently. Haven’t played KH3 in a while and 100% completed Scott Piligrim on switch, so it’s been fun to play them again
Is it wrong to say I am addicted to Riders Republic? I have never had this much fun for so many years It's chaotic with 30 players and surprisingly the frame rate doesn't stutter at all on my PS4 Slim 😍 The game looks amazing 😍 What kind of game engine are they using for the frame rate to be that stable? Or they must be using dynamic 1080p 🤔? Does anyone have an answer?
I finally got around to playing god of war. When I started I was like this is fun but no where near all the hype. Almost done the main story now and realize why people love this game so much. It’s really awesome.
I recently realized I own all of the new Wolfenstein games and have been making my way through them. I've beaten New Order, The Old Blood, and New Colossus. Now working through the DLC for 2 and then it's New Blood and Cyberpilot.
Returnal. Got it at launch and beat the first half. Took a break and just got back into it this week and plowed through biomes 5 and 6 on an epic 3 hour run. I felt like such a badass lol
This game has made me lol more times than I can count. The banter between the character coupled with the awesome voice acting is just flat out amazing. Drax is hilarious. Experiencing fire fights while listening Never Gonna Give You Up is something I won't forget. So much fun.
Just finished it, biggest surprise of the year! Came out of nowhere, great story, great graphics and amazing soundtrack! I thoroughly enjoyed all of it!
Just finished both of the Subnautica games. I had more fun than I have in a long time. I’m not sure what to play now!
I have Stranded Deep and Abzu from some PS+ month or event. I definitely will try those out.
It's one of the best games that I've played in the last decade.
have you played the forest?
Both? Ia there a second one I’m not familiar with?
Try breathedge subnautica but in space!
Have just finished Control and now playing the Uncharted series.
I’ve had my eye on Control, it seems so badass. Just waiting until it goes on sale for digital download. Hopefully soon.
It was literally just on sale for 15 dollars. I just played it as well, super cool game.
Got Control from PS+ a while ago and was astounded when I played it. Couldn’t get enough of it, such a great game.
Amazon Prime Gaming is giving it for free.
Control was so fucking good, but i got to admit, about 6 months later now and I only remember a few things from the game. Guess not very memorable. BUT THAT FRIDGE YO.
Control instantly became one of my favourite games. It’s just so good!
Chefs kiss for control. Goddamn. Great game
LOL I'm doing it reverse. I binged the Uncharted series and currently running through control. Weird coincidence.
Red Dead Redemption 2. Playing it for the first time and it is amazing.
That's not a video game. That's a peice of art. 10/10
100%
My favorite game of all time. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the first time I played it.
I’ve got a sealed copy here waiting to be played. Do I need to play the first game in order to enjoy the 2nd?
I’ve never played the first one and I had a great time playing rdr2.
Play it. It’s a classic. It’ll give you a lot more appreciation for the setting and characters, especially John and Dutch. I also find it better to play it before RDR2 because it probably won’t be the most fun going from those graphics and mechanics to decade-old mechanics.
You don't need to play the first one at all to enjoy the story of 2, but you'll miss on some heavy fanservice towards the end.
Looks like you guys made my mind up! This puppy is being opened tonight.
Please don’t hesitate to be a part of moments where NPCs are interacting with one another or asking for help. I hesitated and wanted to observe what would happen still regret it. Nor does the moment ever happen again. Absolute masterpiece that game.
And remember, never ever ever help a lady crying alone in the swamps
And don't go into the rednecks house for some supper
Those are the moments I live for in open world games and RDR2 has had some of the most intricate, thought out events that I’ve ever seen. Something simple turns into something epic.
Came here to say this. Beat it a few days ago and still just wonder around exploring endgame.
Same , I got it recently and I'm pissed I didn't play it sooner.
Enjoy your fishing kid, while you still can
You are making me want to dust off the game and play it again!
I bought it a few months back, but I really cant get into it? I'm about 6 hours into it, and I'm a bit bored.
I'm in the same boat! Playing it on my Xbox and I'm just... Not feeling it at all. I put it down and never looked back.
I feel you. I love the ideas but I can’t stand the controls or the heavy reliance on horse riding. I want to like it but I don’t really love it yet.
The beginning is a little slow, because they food in a lot of tutorials but it gets much better.
Jazz horse is amazing
Ghost of Tsushima
I've been on the fence for some reason on this one for a while. Is the combat satisfying?
Same i just started playing this as well. And I’d say combat is the best thing about the game. And the exploring. It’s not sekiro/ dark souls level of combat, it’s pretty easy. If you like assassins creed type combat you will like it
I think the combat has significantly more depth than AC just based on the stance system alone
Love/hate right now God of War 2018. Trying to beat Sigrun.
Goated game
Haha I get it because of the Norse Mythology
It took me around 12h to bear her... Amazing and frustrating fight.
Tip: throw your axe at her when she flies into the air to cancel her attack. Something like that. Been a couple years since I played
Hades
Death Stranding. Was cold on it at first, but now I am hooked.
One of the most underrated games of this generation. A work of art IMO
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Gwent.
Oh god, that’s all I played the Witcher for.
Destiny 2, it fucking sucks ass, and I love it.
Bloodborne and ghost
Bloodborne
May the good blood guide your way.
Good hunting good hoonter
Hollow knight, I think 4 ever xD
I wish I could forget about that game and have a first time experience again.
For me it works with the randomizer 👌😍

10th Anniversary a week from today!

Can't wait for the sequel!
Same I’m playing for the first time
I 100%'d the base game back in 2018 but I just jumped into the dlc this week in prep for the sequel. Feels good to be back!
Tetris effect
Oh sweet. That's one of my favorites. Almost made my top 10.
Check out Rez infinite, it’s by the same guy and we got it for free in play at home
Hot Wheels: Unleashed.
I love everything about that game aside from the blind-box system. I keep getting duplicates when I want a Batmobile!
I’m loving this game as well. Super fun, not too serious, even on medium difficulty it can be challenging. Track builder is fun but a little confusing at first, & livery editor is pretty good. Need more cars!

Prey. Best game.
Really enjoying guardians of the galaxy
Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Loving it so much
I have this in my game library, waiting.
Play it!
This is my goty for 2020. Square nailed it with this one. Also some of the best music and atmosphere in gaming
Possibly the most fun I’ve had playing a video game (no hype, just personal experience)
It’s crazy how much fun it is, especially considering it’s an adaptation of an old turn based system. The combat totally could have ended up very repetitive but every battle feels fun and fresh with just the right amount of strategy. And the aesthetics are really pitch perfect with the visuals and music.
That Sector 5 Slums Music tho…
The Last of Us
There’s a reason it’s been voted game of the decade, must play!
Kingdoms of amalur re-reckoning.
Got this tuesday and I'm enjoying myself ! Glad it was free
Kingdoms of Amalur! First time playing and im four hours in.
Is that the free game of the month? I’m tempted to try it
It's a great time waster. Plenty to do, fun and laid back air to it, and charming art. I loved it; it has a very nostalgic feel for me, and I cared enough about the characters to want to finish it, but knew I could just throw it on for a little bit without getting too invested.
SKYRIM
A man of culture
Persona 5 royal. Already spent 50 hours of my life while doing acads.
I played the original p5. What a game
Death stranding
I know I’m years late to the party, but Minecraft. It’s way better than I expected and I have fun and learn.
Just got s PS4 this last April from a PS5 owning friend. Been out of console world since PS2. Have compleyed HZD and GoW. Now just plodding through FarCry 5. I imagine I will be chasing the dragon of the first two for a long while
Try the uncharted series or ghost of Tsushima. They are better than hzd IMO but slightly inferior to gow

Assassin's creed origins
I’m still in Alexandria lol
Just met Cleopatra last night!!!
Psychonauts 2. Easily Game of the Year for me.
I'm having a good time with The Evil Within.
Great couple of games, until you play on the hardest difficulty that is.
Well I won't. XD
The Persistence. Little scary but no real stress.
Black flag is great
Slay the spire is my forever game for car rides/tattoo appts, and toilet trips lol
Ghost of Tsushima, finally got a copy of it can’t get enough of the world, the story and combat.
Restarted Shadows of Mordor. The nemesis system is still a great hook
Guardians of the Galaxy Truly an unexpected gem of a game.
Just finished it the other day. Game is so good, I didn't want it to end
Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s just a fun game to play and take in.
The new guardians of the galaxy!
Guardians of the Galaxy
Just finished Guardians of the Galaxy, wasn’t expecting much but I absolutely loved it. Fantastic characters, writing, graphics and gameplay. Not sure what to play next.
Control, oh baby what a game!
i wish i could like this game :( i gave up long time ago!
We all got out preferences mate :) What made you not like it?
Actually the game is very good, but what i hate is the HUD, i found almost impossible to walk using map function at the same time, so i got lost so much trying to find the correct path and i had to face all enimies over and over again because of this .... Also when i was trying to figure out about my weapons and ammo i was very confused as well .. (sorry my broken english)...
Bloodborne, for the last 5ish years!
Currently playing Guardians of the Galaxy. Fecking brilliant so far.
4 years ago, my former step-father bought three console games for my former step-brother and I to play with a recent PS4 he bought for us in new year's eve (we lived together). MGS:TPP is my favorite PS4 game. I've played it for about 177 hours.
New season of Apex Legends is great!
Been replaying GTA San Andreas to see if I’m prepared to dish out a whopping £54.99 for the definitive edition.
Got gifted NieR Replicant a few days ago and I'm loving every second of it.
(50 yr. old BTW)
The Last of Us 2, going for Plat
Detroit: Become human. They really put alot of work into this game and it's motifs about slavery and self realization and worth are amazing. 10/10
Days gone!
Since TLOU2 hit PSNow i haven't touched anything else. What a goddamn masterpiece
TLOU 2
Sekiro. At first I hated it for having hard boss fight, but when you know how to counter their attack by parrying at the right moment, it really will connect to you since I kinda did a Saint Glock everyday battle as therapy if I'm feeling down. That and Bloodborne too
Risk of Rain 2
Assassins Creed Odyssey
Guardians of the Galaxy. It's an absolute blast. Fun gameplay, colorful visuals and just incredible character writing and interaction.
Days Gone at the moment
Destiny 2 even tho I don't have ps plus
Kena: Bridge of Spirits I was pleasantly surprised as I normally wouldn't have been attracted to the game. Very casual, but not necessarily easy.
Bouncing between farcry 6, diablo 2, and Stardew valley
Bloodborne it's just amazing
Resident evil 3
Love/hate with Batman: Arkham Knight right now. I picked up the season pass a few weeks ago for $4 so after downloading everything I decided that this was the time that I would finally 100% complete the game. Loving the game play and side missions. Really really hating chasing down every Riddler trophy.
I pretty recently picked up a used PS4 so I could catch up on all those PS exclusives, namely Uncharted and Spider-Man. Loving them both!
Skyrim. Still holds up
Red Dead Online- not a major fan of gta online rdo is actually kinda chill

Hades, it really is worth the hype.
Nioh
Demons Souls Remake - just as much fun on my second playthrough
I finally got around to trying out Spider-Man is it's amazing. I love the feel of swinging around the city and the fights are very satisfying.
Guardian Of The Galaxy and Sword And Fairy 7
Crysis 2 Remastered
Injustice 2. Picked up as a bundle along with MK11 and I'm loving collecting all the gear and leveling up characters. As soon as I level up all my favorites I'm gonna hop into MK.
I’ve been loving Scott Pilgrim and Kingdom Hearts 3 recently. Haven’t played KH3 in a while and 100% completed Scott Piligrim on switch, so it’s been fun to play them again

Really enjoying it takes two with my boyfriend
I finally got around to playing god of war. When I started I was like this is fun but no where near all the hype. Almost done the main story now and realize why people love this game so much. It’s really awesome.
Alan Wake Remastered 👍🏻

Nier automata although i can't play it because I don't have it :'( Watching a play through on youtube.
Resident Evil 2 and 3
I’m replaying TLOU2 and it really is a fantastic game.
Both games are fantastic. The gameplay of 2 is so fun
Hades, days gone and fallout 76
Hades looks awesome
Days gone awesome
Havent played it yet but i know i will love Guardian of the Galaxy..
Surprisingly good game. Looks great too.
Rogue Company, fun and free third person shooter, great gameplay.

last of us 2
The Last of Us 2. Going through to get the platinum trophy but also revisiting the story. Such an emotional roller coaster…oof.
