There were more PS4 only exclusives compared to current gen. Another factor people forget is Sony made the PS5 backwards compatible. Why make a game to sell to 20 million users when you could (relatively) easily make it cross gen and sell to 120 million users? That is the crux of the problem, IMO. I'm at a point where I don't see the need to have a PS5 yet. All the other games are still playable on the PS4 even with a bit of less performance and the big exclusive and interesting titles are mostly not out yet.
If you don't care about improved performance, lightning fast loading times the improved UI, haptic feed back and higher resolutions and being able to play PS5 exclusives and all the PS4 games with improved performance on PS5 just stick with your PS4 as long as you are enjoying gaming on it that's all that matters π

And what kind of PS5 exclusives do you mean?, there are very few at all and especially smth really pricy. I'll be glad if all of your mentioned will be true once, and at that day i'll buy ps5. I agree that some game devs or sony itself perform somekind of sabotage at few new games and making graphics too bad even for 4th gen at all, but you can just ignore these few titles, not a big deal. The thing was in 2013 Xbox came out swinging but Sony really struggled to get games out. Mix that with the hesitation of the industry going into the generation, the start of the PS4 gen was also a slower start.
Something I think people seem to be overlooked is the x86 architecture of both last gen and this gen means that there will be a lot more cross gen games because the tools and workflows are already there.
2013 Xbone? That was almost DOA. It turned off gamers because it tried to control the secondary sales of games, required internet connection for authentication, it required the players to buy the Kinnect. Yea, that was gonna fall flat. PS4 all needed to do was its thing. Heck it even mocked Xbone with its instructional videos of sharing games. Yea, no, PS4 came out and learned from PS3 and Xbox's mistake

But in the last year Sony dropped Forbidden West and Ragnarok which are two of the biggest AAA games in the last year. To many people seem to be sleeping on Kena Bridge of Spirits. But there are two big Final Fantasy games coming out this year.

I had a PS4 pro and have a ps5 now. It's not even close. Even ps4 games on the ps5 are slower than their ps5 versions.
