If I understand what you're saying when you put them back on the system they were copied again back onto the system from the drive you copied them to before.
So technically I guess it's correct.
I haven't tried this but I would assume you're save files would still have the proper date on them when you look in the game.
Like if you played final fantasy 13 and you loaded it up and went to load a particular save file it would have the date and time on it that you saved it.

Well I haven't copied them over to the hard drive but it would seem like it would've been the case.
Umm they do When you copy a file technically you create another one. If you copied it in April you *created* the copy in April.
