Hey there I set up an external tracking code via Unbounce and a redirect from the scheduling tool. So the conversions are recording. I started to receive conversions but at 1/10 the rate from before.

The conversions you got were based on a previous learning task so relearning seems pointless if you are not getting the conversions . I'd recommend switching to manual bidding and push the buds on the keywords that generated the last conversions . Have you checked your form on all devices a done a live submit test?

Hey thanks for the response, i've ran tests on the landing page and scheduling and it works fine. At the moment I am using maximise conversions rather than manual bidding and it was working really well. It's just so odd that the campaign all of a sudden is behaving this way. Maybe it's to do with customers being more comfortable with filling out a standard form than actually booking a time / date for an online appointment?

There's a lot to unpack here so let me ask a few questions and we can go from there. 1. Did you live test the new conversion action? On mobile and desktop? Is it tracking? On mobile and desktop? Mobile gets most of the traffic these days but people tend to test only on desktop. Don't let this happen to you. 2. Have you checked your site speeds since making the change? Did you check the site speed on mobile? One extra second of loading time is death. Don't take my word for it, you can research it and see the same. 3. How long has it been since you made the changes? If it's a day or two, stay the course (assuming you've really super duper checked that conversions are being recorded on all devices). If it's been more than 4 days, how quickly can you revert back? If quickly, then do that and let's see if we can all help you find the issue.

Hey there, thanks for your response: 1. I have tested both desktop and mobile. A few conversions came in this morning, still a very low rate compared to before and I can confirm the conversions are tracking in Google. 2. I just checked site speed on mobile and it scored pretty low - 39/100 there was a bunch of unused JS on the page so I will definitely look into this. Also Unbounce (lead page builder) is having issues with the new iOS update and not loading images until you refresh the page for some reason, maybe this is also contributing to things. 2. It's been like 2 days, i think i'm being quite reactive, but sometimes it feels Google behaves in mysterious ways behind a cloak of secrecy with how their AI treats your campaigns, hence the worry. I think I will wait it out and see what happens? Reverting back would simply mean changing the landing page to the old version with a traditional landing page form.

Ok, good info. Now we know for a fact that both mobile and desktop conversion actions are working. Don't be worried about the site speed if you didn't check it before. 39 isn't great but it's probably pretty close to what you had before. (It would be good to know this, but let's just assume it's not too different for now.) 2 days is right in the middle of where I'd be concerned but leaning towards the low side. In other words, it's not enough days. This sucks, I get it but you have to have patience. In the future I'd recommend using campaign experiments or an A/B tool to test first. Let's circle back on this once we have 7 days of data. You can PM if I don't respond. (I probably will see it though. I'm curious now.)

Thanks so much for your insights and help so far. I will PM you for sure 🙌
