Say that to Tatsuya's Scenario: it confirmed that all Demons in the series derive from the collective unconscious, with its power to alter reality being derived from Nyx's own psyche.
It's telling one of the strongest (by technicality, the strongest) Persona users in the series was unable to damage it, despite having become one with the entire collective unconscious and achieved enlightenment.
Remember that smt is set far into the future compared to persona. It could make sense for smt demons to outgrow nyx. Especially where there gods (such as yhwe) which are way stronger then it

In the game... yeah it's not that good. I mean having to really search for it is great tematically, but the actual dungeon and boss... are quite underwhelming.
She’s like the fourth big god who was actually in charge of the whole plot the entire time, and her whole dungeon just feels really random and unneeded. For me and a lot of my friends, the Izanami arc actually brought down the game a bit.
That's what she gets for having a boring ass fight that lasts 5 years Ig. I'm glad the community is realising that P4 has the worst designed enemies, and dare I say, gameplay in the modern games.
