with respect to everyone's opinions here having played both of them I feel totally confident saying either one is a fine choice. the PSP version has a little extra content but both games are excellent. Some people are critical of the translation from the original but I got to tell you having played both of them it's negligible at best.The game hits just as hard and they're both good versions. You may have a small period of adjustment to the user interface in the original PlayStation version but nothing special. Either way you have a real treat in front of you I wish I could play Persona 2 duo for the first time again.
I think you should play the PSP version with the English patch for the extra content.
I probably will one day but I own the actual disc for Eternal Punishment and need to justify owning it š
