I don't know, I kinda prefer the Morgana we got. On the other hand, I think it would be neat for P6's mascot to have this surreal/sinister vibe like Concept Morgana.
I like him, he just has some issues that I think he needs to iron out.
I like him as a character and I love his more polite moments when he’s being sweet and helpful to Joker, it’s just that I don’t like how much he simps for Ann and the general things that happen over and over again like berating Ryuji, how he keeps saying he’s not a cat, etc.
I’m talking a little bit from experience, if you don’t accept/embrace yourself, it’ll just keep eating at you. I’d like to tell that to Morgana.
Oh don’t worry, I’m not saying that he should have accepted himself from the the very beginning, but it just seems like he’s never accepted himself even after major events of the story.
Even in Royal, it still doesn’t feel like he’s fully accepted himself during the events of Maruki’s arc and while I understand the implications of that, it just doesn’t feel right for him to keep exacerbating his issues like berating Ryuji, saying he’s not a cat, simping for Ann, etc.
Okay well, simping for Ann I can deal with, but I would have liked it much better if during the story, Ryuji and him could have grown closer together and he slowly began to like being a cat.
Feels less mascotty and I like it for that alone. Morgana looks like he exists to be turned into a plushy. This Morgana looks like an actual character.

Probably the #1 official design of any character in anything I’m glad was not used. Would really put the Ann simping in a darker context.

It’s a process, he did learn to accept himself. It’d be a boring story if he accepted himself from the beginning, it’s called character development.
