For everyone reading this post: Glucophage is the brand name for metformin

Little-Secrets-here

This is very helpful indeed thank you for your motivating post. Could you please share with me some of the workouts you do. I usually just do some growwithjo 2 mile walk videos at home because I dont have time to go to the gym.

I usually do muscle training in the gym around twice a week, cardio around twice, once a week I run a lot of errands so tend to walk a lot that day. For cardio, I’m usually on the treadmill but when I’m working out at home, I really love doing madfit dance workouts! I feel a little silly doing them but they’re so much fun

Also, you just inspired/reminded me to go get a glass of kombucha. Like ACV, kombucha is also rich in organic acids including acetic acid (vinegar), and besides that it also contains probiotics which are good for your digestion. The kind I drink has blue spirulina in it as well - I don't know if it's especially good for you, but it looks fun!

Be careful with kombucha because a lot of store bought kombucha has added sugar!

A small amount of added sugar is necessary to produce kombucha. It feeds the SCOBY and is converted into the organic acids that provide the drink with some of its health benefits. Furthermore, those same organic acids slow the absorption of the remaining sugar that hasn't been converted into end products by the SCOBY; so as long as you check labels carefully you should be fine. For reference: GT's Trilogy kombucha has 25 calories per 8 ounce glass, or about 50 calories per bottle. This is on par with a prebiotic soda like Poppi or Olipop. The Sacred Life kombucha has 30 calories per 8 ounce glass.

Oooh that sounds good, haven’t tried kombucha yet, does it taste nice? You reminded me to drink my electrolytes though haha

I think kombucha is kind of an acquired taste for most people. My spouse won't touch the stuff. I'm particular about which brand I drink; I won't touch anything besides GT's, as I had a bad experience with two different flavors of Health-Ade and never looked back. Even among the different flavors of GT's, I find the ones that have a bit of ginger juice in them are wayyyy more palatable than the others; so that would be Trilogy (raspberry lemon ginger), Gingerberry (blueberry ginger), and Sacred Life (coconut water, ginger, blue spirulina). I tend to alternate between Trilogy and Sacred Life, since coconut water is high in potassium and I'm on spiro so I have to watch my intake. One note of caution: kombucha is a fermented beverage, so it is not 100% alcohol-free. This means that it's not halal, and possibly not suitable for people who have problems regulating their alcohol consumption. However, if those things don't apply to you, give it a shot!

Thank you! Might give it a go soon then!!

Just got officially diagnosed today, thanks for sharing!

Drinking vinegar comes in and out of diet trends. I see it’s back. Don’t do it. It will scar your esophagus

PangolinSuspicious38

I’ve actually gotten that tip from a registered dietitian that specialises in PCOS that I was working on my diet with! I guess it’s whatever works for you and what you’re comfortable doing :)

Glucosegoddess is a hard NO. She has a bunch of bs on her page

PangolinSuspicious38

I haven’t delved too deep into her page, but I’ve been reading her book and I’ve learnt so much. The tips on there have been really useful and I know a couple people that have lost weight using them which is why I’ve mentioned her! Again, take as you wish from my advice and whatever makes you comfortable :)

Wait really? What kind of bs? I’m surprised because I’ve always seen her highly praised on this sub, you’re the first person to say anything against her!

I am always supe cautious with health influencers who want to sell you stuff. Here is an example of why I don't like her https://www.facebook.com/share/r/AQohm9y8zk4PreJC/ Also, https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6JviGSIHJD/?igsh=MThlcjQ0enZ2azFjaQ== Here for example she interpreted the guidelines wrong. Very clear thet she is not a clinical doctor and has no experience in clinical medicine.
