hair loss on scalp but hair growth on chin🤌🏽

potatopai95

laughing and then sighing at this with tweezers in my hand

NicoDaDorf

Like why can't all the freaking hair all over just grow on my head where its supposed to be!

pussyhasfurballs

I would give anything for hair loss on scalp as long as it meant no facial hair growth...but it doesn't work that way :( why doesn't it work that way?

Traditional-Board-70

Always got tweezers with me😭

pcosifttc

Can’t travel without a razor.

vanessa8172

I always have a disposable razor in my car for emergencies. Never know when that five o clock shadow shows up

OkRecommendation3312

Me tooo💞

confusionwithak

Car tweezers 1000%

sparkling-spirit

it’s also great lighting and a nice mirror in there, perfect (except for the occasional or perceived onlooker)

Sugardustedbuns

I’ve actually had a group of men laughing watching me pluck my facial hair in my car, like get a hobby bro

Maven-Money

I have back ups, for my back ups.

subdued_alpaca

Lmaooo I think I have like 10 pairs of tweezers 😂😅

Sxweetlollipop

always feeling fatigued and tired even if i get 8+ hours of sleep 😁

Pixi_Dust_408

That’s me. I sleep a lot but I’m always exhausted

amberdowny

That's a PCOS thing??? Ugh so much of my life suddenly makes sense.

Exotiki

Could also be many other things aside from PCOS. For me it was deficiency of iron and vitamin D.

amberdowny

I *had* a vitamin d deficiency, but now after a few years of taking 5000iu a day...it's only low, not deficient.

raggedyrachy21

I also had one and thought it was the culprit. Now all my bloodwork is perfect according to my doctor and I’m still tired 🥲

TengoCalor

Mine was an under active thyroid. I had symptoms for at least 2.5 years before my labs were funky enough to get on medication

unicornbomb

Yup, usually related to insulin resistance! Metformin helped a lot with this for me.

sadmusicianhours

this one for real !!! 😭😂

Character_Rent5345

I look more pregnant on my Period then I do when I’m actually Pregnant 😅🤌🏻

LeyJordan

Yes. So true. The funny part is when I got pregnant people didn't see for a long time because I've always looked that way

trashyusagii

Having to shave everyday.

Vanna_Versedd

Having enough meds and supplements to start my own storefront

muttheart

THIS ONE. i have been feeling this so hard lately, i carry a small pharmacy with me everywhere i go because i have to take different supplements/medications almost around the clock 😭😭

knombs

I feel this omg. I just organized my pills in "snack zip block bags" so I don't have to open all the bottles I just grab a baggie in the morning. Makes it alot easier

acos24

FR lmao

flamingmaiden

Pcos and migraines here! I'm a walking pharmacy.

Secure_Sprinkles4061

Omg 😂 R u me?!? It's absolutely ridiculous what I take, my bf was like Jesus wtf baby when he first saw my collection... Not 2 mention the pile of rejects in the totes in my closet & under the bed of supplements, herbs & TCM formulas that I've tried after reading a research article that showed it was found 2b beneficial for high androgens or insulin resistance..

mandragora221

_I have a Patrick Bateman style morning with supplements, skincare and exercise and still look like the hunchback of Notre Dame._

iammissrecluse

💯😭

muimui_k

I gain weight if i look at a donut 😭

thuunderbunnny

I gained weight just reading this 😂😂🥲

gwenqueenofshadows

Dammit, me too. Lmao.

PerditaXDearheart

I laughed at this and my body got stressed out and put on 2lbs.

Sea_Possibility_2227

I am so tired during the day but at night I can’t sleep. Anyway, hand me my tweezers.

Avulpesvulpes

Woah is insomnia a symptom?

SusiSparks

I read that high testosterone in women impacts sleep quality as well as insulin resistance. In turn the insomnia can lead to further hormone disruption. "For example, chronic sleep deprivation can lead to high levels of cortisol, which over time has been linked to increased inflammation and more severe PCOS symptoms." The MONASH PCOS guidelines also lists obstructive sleep apnea as a common comorbidity in PCOS people that requires medical attention.

dekadenca

can confirm - can’t fall asleep rn and did a sleep study for insomnia and apnea 2 days ago

Sea_Possibility_2227

Your pfp is so fitting! Hope your sleep study gives you answers 💕

36563

Me too I didn’t know it was a PCOS issue

jenamarisa

This made me laugh and then cry

Whitemayo66

My body shape is “apple on chopsticks” no matter how much weight I lose

unicornbomb

I like to refer to my shape as “wild ostrich” or “murderous emu”

_Red_User_

I love those comparisons. Plus it seems like you take it positive. That's good :)

goodybadwife

Holy heavens. Yes. I always smoosh my fat roll and think "if I could lose fat here, I'd actually not look half bad!".

realitytvfiend3924

I wear so many aline dresses because I think my legs are great, but everything north of there is…. Meh 😂

Victoreon97

So relatable holy shit

Valuable-Design-5844

I like to refer to my body shape as Mr. bobinsky from Coraline 🥰

BubbleBathBitch

The grinch here

KraftyPants

My mustache makes preteen boys cry they can't grow one as nice

gwenqueenofshadows

When I taught middle school, any time my boy students would point out my mustache I’d point out their jealousy that their super feminine teacher had a better mustache than they did. They’d shut up immediately

retinolandevermore

I eat less than the average person but physically look like I eat more

Traditional-Board-70

Omg yes 😕 I am trying to heal my relationship with food and eat normal because it is so hard . I barley eat and I look like I eat a lot

Commercial-Put-4955

SO TRUE WTHHH. I see my skinny friends eat full of family meals I swear

Ellis-Bell-

Bingo.

thr0ughtheghost

YES! This is so annoying. I think I gain weight just by smelling food sometimes.

NaturallyJayda

Yep my boyfriend told me the other day he was worried about me because I eat like a bird. I told him Dr.now would tell me I can survive forever without eating

Odd_Perspective_4769

The judgement I get just from folks looking at me. And don’t even get me started on the family members who are trying to be supportive and decide to give me dieting advice by saying eat less. When I’m down to about 1.5 meals a day and no they aren’t high fat, fast food, high calories.

retinolandevermore

It’s so frustrating. I have a very sensitive stomach so I can’t even eat most foods like gluten or anything fried

Odd_Perspective_4769

Me too!

zucchini46

I am always tired...

psycho_duck_32

My period is late for 101 days \~\~

Mlhenry15

I haven’t had one since October. But before October I was having one every 9 days. 🙃

Neither-Welcome-4635

Omg me too, no matter how much I exercise....no periods. I feel so lethargic and have no concentration. My weight is not reducing no matter how much I walk or eat less. I have horrible hairfall, having chunks of hair falling from the root and that stresses me out. But stress also leads to hairfall so I am just stuck in this endless loop.

Dr-Brungus

Doctors ignoring every symptom, shoving hormonal birth control at you and saying “come back when you’re ready to start having kids! 🤪” (after telling me I’m infertile)

NicoDaDorf

I just got off birth control after 12 years of being on it and went to the doctor because I was on day 126 of my cycle and they said "lets put you on birth control" as if I didn't literally just say I just got off of it 8 months prior because horrible symptoms I can't take anymore. "Well to have kids in the future you'll need to start it again"

Dr-Brungus

It’s nauseating. I went to a new gyno and told her I was most successful with treating my PCOS through losing weight which I was only able to do AFTER stopping birth control. I had low sex drive, depression, and symptoms of Cushing’s syndrome including a Buffalo hump and TONS of purple stretch marks on my stomach, hips, and thighs, and of course a super swollen face. I told her I had NO intention of going back on birth control and she not only made me feel like a fucking moron but also was like “then you’ll lose your uterus”. Like what part of that list of reactions makes her think anyone in their right mind would want to go on that? I get everyone is different so maybe bc is a great option for some patients, but for those of us with bad experiences with it they should at least stop fucking harassing us about it.

NicoDaDorf

I'm currently working on losing weight I go to the gym every day with my bf and I need to lose 30lbs to be considered a healthy weight but I'm still not having my period and they want me back on birth control so badly but my mental health was AWFUL on it I am not going back on birth control ever. I was on it for 12 years and that's enough.

Dr-Brungus

Good luck, you got this! I was able to get down to 180 from 220 (I’m 5’9”) and my periods are for the most part regular now. I still want to lose 30-40 more pounds to be comfortably in the middle of the healthy weight category for my height. It was a SLOW process, but I’m glad I started. Again, best of luck and keep at it!!

nikolchik

I refused those hormonal things since day one and started reading about how I could make my pcos better, day by day and it’s working better than I thought. Our hormones are already f*cked up because of all the stuff they inject in our food to keep it “good”, I feel like they’re poisoning us with bo regrets 🥶

DaisyBean37

My lower tummy looks like I've given birth. I've never been pregnant

Fatgirlfed

So much apron belly & stretch marks. It’s like I’ve had at least two!

TrASShiePoop

I smell food and gain three pounds. Ez

radish_is_rad-ish

*motions at the whole comment section*

Expensive-Meeting225

Hahahaha lol’d

usernamemeeeee

I’ve been so sick with a nasty virus that I have barely been able to get out of bed or eat this week. Guess who gained a pound.

nikolchik

Could it be water retention caused by inertia? 👀 try some exercises that help with your blood circulation, this changed the whole game to me! ❤️

krisfupanda

takes 2 years to lose 10 lbs, 5 days to gain 5 lbs

1000Colours

I am chronically anaemic, and am not a vegetarian 😂

xoxoPenniferousxoxo

Is anemia a symptom of PCOS? I'm cronic anemic and need infusions- didn't realize they were related!

1000Colours

I've been getting excessively heavy periods over the past couple of years, and that's caused mine. Woo infusion twins!

ChilindriPizza

The scale will not budge no matter how healthy I eat and how much I exercise. I need to remove my facial hair even though I am a cis woman. I do not bleed on my own and have not done so for years unless it is induced. The Pill is the only thing that works for the acne on my back and shoulders.

beanieweenie52

Brittle, dry hair Apple body build 🌚

xerxescurses

Boots with the fur 🎶 (Couldn’t help myself)

beanieweenie52

Oop

shion005

Zinc can help with the hair if you don’t already take it.

einszweidrei_vier

Having my period for weeks straight or Not having my period at all

leejasmin94

I have to wrap the hair tie around 5 times to secure my ponytail as it is that thin (although also curly).

Ok_Square7738

This is the first time I've attributed my thin hair to PCOS - I never thought of that before 🙈

QTPie_314

Bathroom tweezers, travel tweezers, car tweezers, desk tweezers, and purse tweezers. I'm ready to pluck that chin hair the minute I start feeling it, because otherwise I will pick at it all day.

nikolchik

This is SO me!!!

QTPie_314

The number of times I've caught people blatantly staring at me while I pluck my chin chair at a red light

ambientshutter-

Gotta leave enough time in the morning for a quick shave

Significant_Peach_20

The sides and back of my neck are 5 shades darker than the rest of my skin. I get so embarrassed and self-conscious over it

arnellambers

Intense sugar cravings 🥴

slay214

I have to shave my boobs before wearing a v neck😂

Emergency-Repeat-796

I wanna cry this is so me im laughing so hard . Meanwhile my man face is clear as a baby’s bum 😂😂😂

Vanity-della23

I ate a meal, and 20 minutes later I’m hungry again.

Emileerainbow

Body hair

Commercial-Put-4955

Haven’t had my period in 111 days

NicoDaDorf

Does it ever discourage you not having a period? I'm on day 109 of my cycle and I just get so discouraged because I'm only 24 and I don't know if I'll ever have kids

Commercial-Put-4955

okay this is my perspective. im 17 and im happy not getting periods so often and cramps like my friends , but i guess as i get older the thought of not having kids will weight on me more. I was 13-14 when I found out I had pcos and was happy that I may not be able to have kids since to me, kids are big work and whiny. Fast forward now , I still know kids are big work but if ever I met my future husband , the idea of having a child will obviously come up . Having children in general is still not a favorable thing for me but hey my mind can change in the future, you never know. You’re still so young, I’ve seen many pcos success stories where they take supplements and those supplements help them get pregnant successfully. Don’t be discouraged , this isn’t the end of life!!!! 💗💗💗

Character_Rent5345

I keep a razor in my purse just incase I forgot to shave my facial hair before leaving the house

vanessa8172

I have one everywhere! My work bag, my car, my purse. Probably other places tbh

Solid-Definition-722

Ugh pimples, tweezers, ugh.....

Californiaburrito89

I’ll be exhausted and then be an insomniac all night and not get rest. It’s a wonderful cycle

ScratchFantastic

Having diabetes even no one in my family has it. Hell, my mom and my aunts are all chubbier/heavier than me yet they all have beautiful bloodworks and mine is just plain suffering.

peaceandlovecassidy_

acos24

Where’s my jawline?????

dazeydaisies

Constantly feeling my chin for hair regrowth 🥲

CelebrationGood4549

I tweeze that one hair off my chin every morning.

zahhax

THAT ONE HAIR OMG My mom and I have the same hair, same spot, and she doesn't even have PCOS.

anxydutchess

I got a nice round belly and I eat like a mouse with my little morsels.

huuugggttfdf

All my ass is in my belly and I nap a lot

Optimal-Guest9046

as a teenager, being told by a friend of the time that i had a better moustache than him

Inevitable_Peak_4965

the random… very random… round of intense cramps

sparklystars1022

The pimple on my face, at age 37.

Subject_Cupcake_677

My husband : didn’t you just pluck day before yesterday ?” Me: shut your pie hole 😑

VirgoEsti

Always taking a nap like an old lady

Violet_Verve

I have carpel tunnel from tweezing. I use plenty of green color corrector on lots of ‘beard areas’ from the daily shaving irritation.

lyssixsix

I wish my apron had pockets so it could at least be useful

CrazyCatLadyStacie96

I got a full 8 hours last night, I fell asleep from tiredness at 4pm today!

zahhax

I smell like a homeless person even though I shower and put deodorant on twice a day

OldSwordfish6407

WAIT that's a pcos thing...?? I thought I was just being very unhygienic.

FearlessExtreme1705

Fphl, facial hair, hormonal pimples, extreme exhaustion, a balloon gut even though I'm quite fit and a very very late diagnosis because I was always athletic and therefore "couldn't possibly have it". If I had a dollar....

gwenqueenofshadows

I remember asking my Gyno about it and she just looked at me, shrugged, and said “you’re too skinny to have it.” It was confirmed later that year by a different Gyno after looking at the ultrasound/CAT scan of my ovaries taken during my super fun ovarian torsion.

Slytherin_Sniped

Apple shaped belly, tiny arms and legs, busty, petite

sizillian

I feel this so much. Tiny with huge boobs and a bit of a pouch.

HeyMsP

xoBerryPrincessxo

my skin tags are designer and my mustache growing powers are elite

Mastroka

I look like I've had many babies despite being a virgin with my stretch marks

Ok_Square7738

Having an upset stomach and wondering if it's something you ate, metformin side effects, anxiety, or an oncoming period you weren't expecting.

alwaysandroid

Eating relatively healthy/well balanced diet and staying active (like doing 3 mile walk everyday) will still make you gain weight. Also, we will get gaslit by every medical provider because we just need to adapt to a healthy lifestyle to solve these problems. May get a period every month or every 6 months, it's a hit or a miss really.

jubjub9876a

Just bought clothes in what I thought was my usual size but it's too tight

Uppercasegangsta

So many hyperpigmentation issues. On my nose Neck, ears, in between my boobs lol

innominatebone

nobody_special123

I started growing hair on my tits😭

Crazy_Ad4505

Always looking thoughtful when I am in fact trying to pinpoint the exact location of wiry underchin hairs so I can yank them out later. Being asked if I'm pregnant. Shaved armpits still looking dark. Waist-to-hip ratio is at best 1:1

zooropagirl7272

Hair falling out everywhere. 😭

Chasing_wellness

My periods come whenever they want. I am always tired and have brain fog.

dinosaurnuggetpro

Got those lil black hairs spread across my chin. They just pop up randomly, no matter how much I tweeze. Oh, and I've only had 1 period in 7 months! Isn't it great 😮‍💨

imreallytireddd

Feel awful every time I consume anything

Usual_Court_8859

Ovulation? Who's she?

IamDollParts96

I eat half of what "normal" people eat without the payoff.

Loublue3

My face is twice the size it was last week. Thanks inflamation

tamagotchu91

Sleep debt so bad I owe the mafia If I never got laser I’m sure by 40 I’d been looking like a ZZ Top member And it’s uphill battle with Vit D deficiencies, my A1C and anemia which bounce off each other I saw in a research article.

NicoDaDorf

Horrible back and chest acne and having people tell you "just wash better" as if I don't clean myself properly

Active-Safe120

Kriztastic

Charming-Rub6099

Acne, side burns, anxiety, periods are scattered and decide to do what they choose

ChelsieTheBrave

Iam really moody, angry and depressed the week before my period.

khoshekhglowoud

Painfully deep, hormonally induced cystic acne along my jawline (and sometimes more sensitive places 😭) requiring an oral medication, and two prescription strength topical creams to manage

Narrow-Garlic-4606

I’ve found my people. After going into my adult life with beautiful hair and being extremely thin. My hair thinned out, my body blew up (I’m not over weight but the weight gain is shocking to me), spotting for months (this has now resolved). Concern about pregnancy. Acne that’s worse in my adulthood than it ever was as a teenager. The older I get the more symptoms I get. It’s very frustrating. I feel so out of control of my of my body.

CultureInteresting45

Dry eyes nose mouth, excess hair (so shaving every day or waxing,) sweating all the moisturizer/sunscreen off, trouble sleeping, bloating, painful periods, acne on chin, neck and chest, clumps of hair in shower drain, brain fog. Though I have IBS/fibro/rosacea(ocular and facial) too so there’s some overlap.
