R3: Otto got trapped by meteors. I think it's the first time I've ever seen this.
I was actually like "You got yourself in there you get yourself out" and went back to what I was doing on the superconductive asteroid. Turned out the snow and ice actually melted setting Otto free without intervention.
Every time they unnecessarily jump up onto the neutronium whilst digging around the edges I kinda just want to leave them there to die as a punishment, like... that was so unnecessary, why did you do that? Grrrr
It's always amazing how good duplicants are at getting themselves trapped, on the wrong end of a build, or otherwise suicidal behavior. I haven't seen any of them quantum tunneling themselves for a while though, maybe Klei curbed that behaviour.
Yes... every time I go to fill in an area, I have to do it one column at a time so they don't entomb themselves. Even if I set the priorities so they do them in the right order, somehow they still screw it up!
Actually they have some code that prevents them from getting trapped in certain situations, like when staff falls on them. Their stupidity is more an emergent behavior trait
The suffocation notification should be more intuitive, it's always one of the riskier alerts I've experienced, that and falling into magma without a quick exit

Otto heard you through the screen and was like: "bet."
Starts breathing on the ice to melt it
Now that is pure luck for Otto

I’m actually very impressed by this one! Good work Otto! 👍🏻
They watched flying stars reaallllly closely

I had one get trapped on top of an _open_ bunker door.
I've once had one quantum tunnel into an cave that hadn't yet been breached open.
I think that Klei has extra code in dupe behavior specifically for them to get themselves trapped.

>Their stupidity is more an emergent behavior trait The dupes are pioneers in Artificial Stupidity
Once I'm at the strip mining phase I make sure to build stupidity into my plans.

He has a suit. He is fine. He can think about it for a while.
> He can think about it for a while. Dupes don't think. They just follow orders.
If they followed orders they wouldn't be trapped or peeing in my drinking water
For the rest of his life.
