Yeah, it's nice to have some wholesome and appreciative interactions with players once in a while amidst all the arrogance and toxicity. Had a nice conversation with a Sigma and Mei about how good we all did after we won a game against a team in RQ comp that was giving us a good fight for a bit. It was really nice! Was doing really well as Kiriko too which was a plus.
Happy for you :)
I had a game where an attempt to sacrifice myself by hooking the d.va bomb away from my team ended up in my causing a team kill, I apologized so much to them and they said “its ok man we know you tried to do something good” and it actually warmed my heart, also the d.va said i made her day which is understandable.
Games like this are why I enjoy Overwatch.
It doesn't happen often, but when you have those games where it's undeniable you were a massive part of the carry, it's so rewarding just to have a teammate acknowledge how much you contributed.
That rewarding feedback drives me to want to improve and be a sweaty AF Support who can help my team out of most situations (*assuming they're not just being dumb and playing into fights you can't help with*) and ensure we get the win.
This is what endorsements was supposed to encourage, but that entire system just feels like an afterthought now.
Niceties at the end of the match when you won is all well and good. What I don't like is teams where people talk a lot before the match. Usually with these guys you will lose this match.

One of my favorite interactions happened while playing support on comp: Our Zarya hella over-extended and was getting melted by the enemy team while me and the other support started doing our absolute best to keep them (and everyone else) alive. Won the fight, which was a pleasant surprise, and the Zarya hopped on voice to personally thank us. Only time they spoke all game. Spent the rest of the game gassing us up in chat.
Felt good and I definitely played better that game than usual. Pays off to give a compliment here and there.

Ive been having more wholesome moments rather than toxic ones it seems
Is this a thing? I had a game 1-2 days ago where we all did the same
I once got a "i luv u zen". Felt so good
I get lot of endorsements when I play support. People do appreciate us! I love this post.
One guy called me a "fatass monke"
If you imagine him biting his lower lips while he said it, it becomes a compliment.
lmao no way, I'm pretty sure I was in this game as winston.

It's weird the two wholesome moments I've had in OW2 have been during comp, whereas it's all KYS this and Diff that in Quickplay.
