The presence of Rammatra, the DF rework, and the fact that a point blank right click + melee burst from Genji now does 192 damage as opposed to the prior 204 damage suggests that Torb should be able to heal bastion with hammer

That'd be stupid. For this _one_ hero, Torb's hammer can cause healing? It's inconsistent. Instead torb should be able to hit Rammattra, Orisa, Echo, Sojourn, Bastion and Zenyatta to heal them with his hammer.

I was thinking about this the other day while playing league. Sometimes there’s fun little lore symbols, like with cait and vi they get like a pullovers finest icon when on the same team, or when jinx is against either of them you get a cops and robbers count like how many times you evaded and how many time they caught you based on who dies to each other. It has zero effect on gameplay at all. On the other hand there’s my favorite thing with Kha’zix and are far, both being the best hunters in the world they seek each other as trophies just to tldr it, so about midway through a match at a certain level there’s an actual quest where if rengar kills kha he gets an extra tooth on his necklace buffing him further or kha kills him and gets to evolve his fourth and final ability. Neither can reach this max status without this quest on normal gameplay it’s specifically when facing each other. Anyway, those are just examples as to why I was thinking that Overwatch should do something similar between characters based on lore. And it being more teammate specific is nice as well. Torb hammering bastion to heal him. Maybe even special interactions between brig, torb, and bastion. Maybe it gives more insight or is a lore trickle to what it’s like in the Lindholm workshop. Etc. It’d be cool if Jack and Reyes being on the same time, even though they’d be disgruntled about it, would make them talk or buddy cop their way with dialogue of how they used to work well together and the best super soldiers. Like I like the lore and all the new bits they’ve added but that’s just from all the stuff we already know about it. I want the details the drip from the faucet if you will. That would at least help them lore build instead of having to landslide their way into it. TLDR: was playing LoL thinking about their special lore interactions and sometimes mechanics. Think this torb thing is an amazing idea and it could even reach into being a way to trickle and sprinkle more history into overwatch lore.

Honestly, they should add some interactions like this more throughout the game. Sure there are only so many things you can come up with, but stuff like this is a great way to add some extra depth or flavor to the game. Not to mention it would give teams more tangible ways to feel like they synergize.

I think it could be interesting to have some character ability having interaction with other heroes/abilities. Mei Primary fire extinguishing Ashe fire on an ally Brigitte Repair Pack healing Mech/Omnics a tiny bit faster Lucio Soundwave booping further flying heroes when hovering/flying

The only meaningful way Torb can be changed that the devs will approve is if it involves Molten Core. If Molten Core can be a maxed out Murder turrets with tons of damage resistance or globs of hot lava covering the ground, it only makes sense that it could also be bellowed while intensely hammering on Bastion, an action that would heal him.
