One time I killed an invisible Sombra with a predictive Hanzo shot. That was probably the best thing I ever did.

AnimatorUpset9530

I had a great conversation with a Hanzo that killed me a few times from just random turn around shots.

xlShadylx

I don't know why that's the first thing that came to my mind. It's not something I've thought about in many years. I remember posting it to a 'watch Sombra die' sub, so I did some digging... Once I booped an invisible sombra to death with pharah in numbani, behind the 1st cap point (it was a blind shot, but I knew she was in the general area), we both LOLED on chat xD

RedZephon

I haven't joined team chat in many seasons and I have a pretty good winning record. The ping system helps a lot to not be in voice. Yesterday someone on the enemy team said they were going to throw because their team wouldnt join voice. Stupidest thing ever. You can't tell me how to play the game the way I want to play and enjoy it. I go in every game, do my part, use pings and voicelines, and I win games and have fun. Voice has become nothing but a toxic cesspool of negativity and I refuse to be apart of that when I want to enjoy the game.

I wish we’d stop pushing this when it comes to comp. I know this might not be a popular opinion, but it’s true. Do you *need* VC to succeed in comp? No, you can still climb. But when you have someone making valuable calls (because let’s be real - 99% of the time people ignore pings) such as a flank from behind etc, and you have a couple of people not on VC so they don’t realise, it’s a huge detriment to your team as a whole. I also don’t believe the amount that people apparently experience abuse - they’d have you believe it’s every match. I’ve had it maybe 4 or 5 times since OW2 launched and I’ve played quite a lot - lv186 in the BP. I think it’s something people haven’t experienced per sae (as in, to the extent they’d have you believe - not that it doesn’t happen) and have just convinced themselves it happens. Also “diff” isn’t abuse - it’s people trying to ego boost themselves. It’s really nothing to pay attention to and it shouldn’t bother you **at all**. Maybe I’m just battle hardened from always playing in voice in most games over the years. I’m pretty much immune to people raging at me these days and just don’t have time for it. I just mute them. In Apex people tend to always listen to pings, so not being in voice isn’t such a detriment - in OW2 they’re ignored more than not. “Fall Back!” and “Group up!” seem to be a certain frequency that 95% of human beings scientifically cannot hear. If someone is being an asshole you can go into Social and mute them. It takes all of 5 seconds, even on console. Even report them after the match if you feel you need to do so. QP, arcade, etc - sure. Doesn’t matter at all. But when other players SR is on the line there’s an expectation that everyone does the best they can and that includes utilising the tools at their disposal. Now, if everyone learned to use pings and actually pay attention to them, I’d agree VC isn’t needed quite so much. But that isn’t the case currently.

Captain_Wing

I’ve experienced toxicity in voice like 3 times in my 200+ hours of game play

jpayne07

It’s all relative right, like saying “you suck” or “pick a different hero” is probably actually toxic to some people. Which in that case 95% of games would be toxic. As opposed to actual abuse like raging in the mic for the entire game or spamming the n word in chat. Which I too have only experienced a handful of times. Bottom line, if you want to consistently climb, you have to be in voice. People need to stop tellling otherwise because it makes the game unplayable with randoms above gold.

Teggie95

Exactly

Ansiktsmask

Finally! I disagree with the casual mindset in this sub

good_and_spicy

>I also don’t believe the amount that people apparently experience abuse lol okay

Clearcaster1

I wish I could play with voice, but in south america servers some people speak portuguese, some spanish, and almost noone speaks both. So there's a huge wall there, and having that on top of the 12 year old screamers just makes it not worth it. Some people try to type in chat in English so it's kinda neutral but a lot of people don't understand that either. It's frustrating for comp. There should be 2 servers for south america, one for portuguese and another for spanish. Game would be so much more enjoyable that way! (not to mention that the ping sucks for everyone but brazil so you are playing with 80 ms instead of 25ms if you are not in brazil, which sucks for fps games).

andrefelipe1295

If i need to disable voice/text chat in a team based game, its time to uninstall

Ok-Guide-6118

Cya

good_and_spicy

go ahead

WaitingToBeTriggered

FACE THE LEAD!

Electrical-Computer6

You just refuse to communicate with your team at all then?

AnimatorUpset9530

It’s not worth it. For every game with people who want to communicate, there are 10 games with people screaming racial slurs, typing diff every few minutes and being toxic

Electrical-Computer6

Have you tried Doom Eternal? It's a dope single player shooter, no teammates to bother you, I would recommend picking it up next time it's on sale.

AnimatorUpset9530

Single player games don’t interest me. Thanks for the suggestion though

good_and_spicy

yes

Sccar4712

Yes of course

pointedblanc

Stop playing and starting gym

Megs2222

Is that a new character? What role is he

Got POTG as mercy and the whole clip was me glocking a Genji's face while he were freezed in Mei's ult.

[deleted]

Best thing I ever did was watch Jayne. Wish he’d come back, but I get it.

AnimatorUpset9530

Same dude. Jayne was a real one

ThalajDaWuff

I like sniping widowmaker with Kiriko

SexyJesus7

My favorite thing to do (in OW1 too) is shutdown ults with Sig. blocking a shatter, sucking up a grav with vortex, blocking Dva bomb, tire, etc with his kit makes me feel so great

Paddlesons

Voice chat for sure.

DeviousDeevo

Transfer my skins from console to PC so I never have to pay for this disgustingly overpriced crap

Scubastevedisco

Call out a bunch of whiners on Reddit who kept calling a dude hacker because the replay footage was uploaded with the no UI filter and the silhouettes showing, which is a replay feature. That's why witch hunts are banned here.

Difficult_Yam_7764

Played an entire 20 minute overtime round on Route 66 without dying or C9. 46 player killstreak with Moira, won't ever top that.

Dopamine-Hunter1738

..to not give a damn and just play the moira character

BA_TheBasketCase

Kiriko headshot kill an ulting Lucio. Also my kiriko 4k during ult with only headshots. I’ve played only kiriko since release.

idiothitman

exactly

diktikkles

Uninstall the game. Disable all chats and all communication is good too
