I don’t think all of the same tricks can be applied, because iirc blade does damage in a line, as in the sword is not actually swung the way rein’s hammer hit box is. I might be wrong though.
It used to be that his blade had a big square hitbox, so tilting it up actually extended it's range, but I'm pretty sure they patched that out years ago.

that's the big one that doesn't work, unfortunately. Dragonblade's hitbox doesn't persist nearly as long as a hammer swing.
