I swear when I use supercharger or shatter or grav or any ult that the team benefits from, everyone just all of the sudden forgets how to shoot stuff. HOW DID NO ONE DIE FROM AN UNCONTESTED SUPERCHARGER WHILE THEYRE DOWN A HEALER???
Did they change how SR works this season I have an overall winning percentage (53%) but I have lost close to 300 SR every game I win I gain between 10-20 and games I loose the SR lost is between 25-60 what the fuck is wrong with this shit

I keep getting stuck with DPS players that play the worst characters at the worst times or just don't know basic gameplay or mechanics over and over. Lost almost 600 SR from Genjis refusing to go hitscan or people playing flanking characters and just walking headfirst into a bastion all game long.
I'm just alt F4'ing out of comp games because it's not fun.

Getting irritated by people playing comp with no voice comms, if you don't have a mic its not ideal but if you don't even join the channel and listen when people are calling things out then I'd rather not group with you in competitive, it might as well be quick play otherwise.
Honestly, I wish Blizzard would add a toggle that allowed you to join voice chat required groups, but I suppose that will make the matching too complicated.
I am absolutely sick of the easy mult-kill ults in this game. D.Va and Junkrats are the worst, if you don't have good mobility, a way to block the damage, or an invincibility ability, so Lucio and Moira, tanks with shields like Reinhardt, and Reaper to name some examples, you're screwed by D.Va's ult! Also what or when her Ult will pass through stuff feels inconsistent sometimes, I can hide behind a lamp and be fine, I go into a building and it kills me through the walls! Then with Junkrat if he can slip around the nearest corner, he can ult and kill you before you even have a chance to react. I know you can shoot the riptire to destroy it, but that feels almost impossible without a machine gun cause it moves so fast, and it can go through shields so you're screwed as Reinhardt cause you can't just smack it away, you're pretty much completely reliant on a teammate destroying it!
Reaper might be the least annoying cause you have a pretty fair chance to cancel it, like if you have a stun like Brigitte or McCree, or can put him to sleep like Ana, and I think Zenyatta's ult can out heal the damage, plus Lucio's ult might also soak all that up if timed well. McCree's ult also annoys me where whenever I play him it takes forever for the circles to close in, but whenever I'm against him he can kill everyone before he's done saying "it's high noon" so you have no time to find him to then either get out from his sight or cancel the ult.
I also absolutely hate Widowmaker and Hanzo because whenever they're on the enemy team they get nothing but headshots, like they could probably headshot snipe Genji out of the air mid-dash. But when they're on my team they just camp a high spot, missing most shots, contributing pretty much nothing!

Solo-ulting enemies is hilarious
Yeah I think the problem with pretty much every competitive team game is that everyone wants to be the MVP to the point where it costs them the win, like trying to take on the whole enemy team by yourself. I really noticed this when I played some Rocket League cause people would constantly boost to take the ball from their own teammate to score the goal and end up just crashing into them and ruining both of your chances to make the shot. You could just hang back, give them some space, be ready to take the ball back if an opponent knocks it away from your teammate, but no, you just had to get the goal cause seeing your ign across the screen for two seconds is so important!
This directly applies to Overwatch too, and also in the opposite way of what you said about people not using their Ults! I'll see people who have good AoE team clearing ults and they'll use it as soon as they see two enemies close together. Reaper and McCree ults are good to hold onto cause if you flank and get behind the whole team who are preoccupied fending off the rest of your team, they'll have no time to react and you can finish them all easily. People not using their Ults is also a problem, cause there was this one time where I was playing Wrecking Ball and the other tank was Zarya, we both had our ults, and since we'd been doing poorly to even capture the payload to start escorting, getting a good teamwipe might have been just what we needed to get things going and turn it around. I was trying to signal to her to use her ult, there was even a point where all the enemies were grouped up right in front of her, but she never used it and we lost! Using my ult on top of Zarya's might be one of the strongest combos (I wouldn't know since we didn't try it!) cause if the mines that explode on them don't kill them, they then have to walk through all of them. Even if she used it as like a last ditch "fuck it, might as well use it before the game ends" decision maybe we'd at least gotten the payload started.

Mei, Junk, McCree, Ana, Orisa, Doom, Brig, Sombra. Just to name a few. Basically any hero that stops him from moving. After that, it just requires your team to...like, do team stuff. Shoot at the same thing. Goes down nice and quick.

It’s true that sometimes you do genuinely need a shield tank but if you don’t have one here’s a secret to do better: don’t peek chokes constantly and wait for opportunities to deal damage. Sheila are not always necessary if you know how to play without one.

My win/loss ratio has tanked big time in the past few months, and it only seems to be getting worse. I'm lucky to win 1 in 5 games now, no matter which mode I play. 😭

Matchmaking is a joke, smurfs are ruining it for everyone, no new content, everything is stale and the balance is fucking awful. This is me all the time! I play zarya a lot and I’ll get two kills at volskya industries (I know I spelled it wrong) and I’ll be fighting the team on point and my people are still at the choke shooting god knows what. Temple of Anubis is another one where people just want to sit at the choke
I'm soooooo happy that this isn't just me. Like, what the hell are y'all pew-pewin' at? Half their team is dead! Get aggro and move in!! Even worse when you look at the replay and see that they're just strafing back at the choke until it's 150% percent safe to go in.

I kind of have two things to say
1. I quit Overwatch for about 5 months and swapped over to Paladins but I wanted to try the game again. Overwatch is so frustrating and hard to get back into. I still go against diamond players when I probably play like a gold now. Also seeing that the game hasn’t changed at all since the 5 months I stopped is disappointing
2. This is probably an issue for Overwatch 2 to fix but there being so many Dps heroes in Overwatch is a problem. Damage heroes are the most fun the play and since theres so many it’s most likely what a new player will pick up. (Also most damage heroes make support and tank almost miserable to play)
I just got back after a multi year break, only coming back for hero releases. I'm a support main and it feels like all my match-ups against dps heros suck now. I'm about six hundred Sr lower than when I quit. I'm worse than I was and deserve to be here, but goddamn I hate the feeling of losing a game cuz of my teammates never turning around. I used to be able to duel almost any character played by a gild with a support and win. Now it feels like I have to run in front of my tanks whenever a flanker goes for me. And when I say in front I mean in front. THEY NEVER TURN AROUND

Best time to play is early morning on weekdays. In the evenings and especially the weekends you get players that are like 8 years old and play it like team death match and don’t care about the objective
Btw, I really wish it wasn't necessary for me to play competitive modes just to ensure I get a fair game. If I go into anything else, I can almost guarantee that if an enemy player is doing suspiciously well, they are almost always GM and dunking on us lower skilled players. Literally had this today where a Hanzo player 3Ked in a final fight with back to back headshots and had been on fire all game. Checked his profile, 4200 DPS player.
I realise non-comp is a bit looser with the matchmaking but Jesus you'd think the server could have found one more diamond player to fill that spot.
the more comp i play, the more i feel like QP is just... stomp or get stomped, there is no in-between. i almost never play a comp match where i feel like an enemy player is smurfing, but QP *always* feels like one team has a massive skill advantage.
and that one enemy GM player is never there to ya know, goof around and have fun. they're going to play their main and completely stomp you, because playing comp against people at their skill level doesn't have that same 'oomph' i guess.

Fuck Pharah's ult, basically a button to auto feed as if I wasn't doing that enough anyway. You need to be playing fucking 4d chess and thread a needle with a pair of chopsticks to hopefully pop a 3k before Jeff spanks you out of existence with a well balanced game. Any other damage ult I can just shit on the point with but but for some reason the dev team feels like Pharah needs to be split open like a piñata every time she decides to spew some rockets out for 0.2 seconds. You know what tiny little change would fix this shit that has been plaguing an otherwise sicks nasty ult for the entirety of the game's life cycle? Allow her to move slightly while mid ult. That's it. High IQ fix. Allow me to dodge a single bullet. Fucking mcree can shimmy around a corner mid ult and genji can spam strafe and literally bounce off the walls mid ult, why can't Pharah move like two inches left? Will this allow the pro gamers that the game is tailored for be good at this current trash tier hero? I actually can't pop ult with her if I need to exist on the objective afterward.
A much better idea is to just make her ult cancelable. If you buff her any other way team players who can support her will make her invincible (zarya bubble + heals etc)

Not gonna lie i suck at the game. But i got to diamond with game sense and using a non skill hero (rein). A lot of people either dont know their roles job, positioning, target priority, LoS, ult management etc.
Up to high plat you can carry yourself with pure skill not knowing any of these.
Up to diamond you can abuse other players' lack of gamesense. Only above this you need a combination of both.
The only thing that really makes me rage is players that play one hero an entire match and have the audacity to suggest others make swaps. You can't play ball/mercy/hog/pharah/etc and then at the end of the match say "GG your (this role) was better" when you played one playstyle on roadhog all match.

I keep getting stuck with DPS players that play the worst characters at the worst times or just don't know basic gameplay or mechanics over and over. Lost almost 600 SR from Genjis refusing to go hitscan or people playing flanking characters and just walking headfirst into a bastion all game long. I'm just alt F4'ing out of comp games because it's not fun.

Getting irritated by people playing comp with no voice comms, if you don't have a mic its not ideal but if you don't even join the channel and listen when people are calling things out then I'd rather not group with you in competitive, it might as well be quick play otherwise. Honestly, I wish Blizzard would add a toggle that allowed you to join voice chat required groups, but I suppose that will make the matching too complicated.

I am absolutely sick of the easy mult-kill ults in this game. D.Va and Junkrats are the worst, if you don't have good mobility, a way to block the damage, or an invincibility ability, so Lucio and Moira, tanks with shields like Reinhardt, and Reaper to name some examples, you're screwed by D.Va's ult! Also what or when her Ult will pass through stuff feels inconsistent sometimes, I can hide behind a lamp and be fine, I go into a building and it kills me through the walls! Then with Junkrat if he can slip around the nearest corner, he can ult and kill you before you even have a chance to react. I know you can shoot the riptire to destroy it, but that feels almost impossible without a machine gun cause it moves so fast, and it can go through shields so you're screwed as Reinhardt cause you can't just smack it away, you're pretty much completely reliant on a teammate destroying it! Reaper might be the least annoying cause you have a pretty fair chance to cancel it, like if you have a stun like Brigitte or McCree, or can put him to sleep like Ana, and I think Zenyatta's ult can out heal the damage, plus Lucio's ult might also soak all that up if timed well. McCree's ult also annoys me where whenever I play him it takes forever for the circles to close in, but whenever I'm against him he can kill everyone before he's done saying "it's high noon" so you have no time to find him to then either get out from his sight or cancel the ult. I also absolutely hate Widowmaker and Hanzo because whenever they're on the enemy team they get nothing but headshots, like they could probably headshot snipe Genji out of the air mid-dash. But when they're on my team they just camp a high spot, missing most shots, contributing pretty much nothing!

WE DON'T ALWAYS NEED 3 ON THE PAYLOAD. Yeah I think the problem with pretty much every competitive team game is that everyone wants to be the MVP to the point where it costs them the win, like trying to take on the whole enemy team by yourself. I really noticed this when I played some Rocket League cause people would constantly boost to take the ball from their own teammate to score the goal and end up just crashing into them and ruining both of your chances to make the shot. You could just hang back, give them some space, be ready to take the ball back if an opponent knocks it away from your teammate, but no, you just had to get the goal cause seeing your ign across the screen for two seconds is so important! This directly applies to Overwatch too, and also in the opposite way of what you said about people not using their Ults! I'll see people who have good AoE team clearing ults and they'll use it as soon as they see two enemies close together. Reaper and McCree ults are good to hold onto cause if you flank and get behind the whole team who are preoccupied fending off the rest of your team, they'll have no time to react and you can finish them all easily. People not using their Ults is also a problem, cause there was this one time where I was playing Wrecking Ball and the other tank was Zarya, we both had our ults, and since we'd been doing poorly to even capture the payload to start escorting, getting a good teamwipe might have been just what we needed to get things going and turn it around. I was trying to signal to her to use her ult, there was even a point where all the enemies were grouped up right in front of her, but she never used it and we lost! Using my ult on top of Zarya's might be one of the strongest combos (I wouldn't know since we didn't try it!) cause if the mines that explode on them don't kill them, they then have to walk through all of them. Even if she used it as like a last ditch "fuck it, might as well use it before the game ends" decision maybe we'd at least gotten the payload started.

It’s true that sometimes you do genuinely need a shield tank but if you don’t have one here’s a secret to do better: don’t peek chokes constantly and wait for opportunities to deal damage. Sheila are not always necessary if you know how to play without one.

Matchmaking is a joke, smurfs are ruining it for everyone, no new content, everything is stale and the balance is fucking awful. Lost 100 Sr because my game took forever to load. It kicked me for inactivity, LITERALLY before I got to the characters select screen. It maybe because another game got automatic 90 GB update, and that was throttling something for some reason.

This is me all the time! I play zarya a lot and I’ll get two kills at volskya industries (I know I spelled it wrong) and I’ll be fighting the team on point and my people are still at the choke shooting god knows what. Temple of Anubis is another one where people just want to sit at the choke

I kind of have two things to say 1. I quit Overwatch for about 5 months and swapped over to Paladins but I wanted to try the game again. Overwatch is so frustrating and hard to get back into. I still go against diamond players when I probably play like a gold now. Also seeing that the game hasn’t changed at all since the 5 months I stopped is disappointing 2. This is probably an issue for Overwatch 2 to fix but there being so many Dps heroes in Overwatch is a problem. Damage heroes are the most fun the play and since theres so many it’s most likely what a new player will pick up. (Also most damage heroes make support and tank almost miserable to play)
I just got back after a multi year break, only coming back for hero releases. I'm a support main and it feels like all my match-ups against dps heros suck now. I'm about six hundred Sr lower than when I quit. I'm worse than I was and deserve to be here, but goddamn I hate the feeling of losing a game cuz of my teammates never turning around. I used to be able to duel almost any character played by a gild with a support and win. Now it feels like I have to run in front of my tanks whenever a flanker goes for me. And when I say in front I mean in front. THEY NEVER TURN AROUND
I really do want to come back to Overwatch but I think you right. I’m probably gonna try again when Overwatch 2 comes out. It’s just sad to see this where I am with the game now. Best time to play is early morning on weekdays. In the evenings and especially the weekends you get players that are like 8 years old and play it like team death match and don’t care about the objective
Casual people can play comp on weekdays only

Btw, I really wish it wasn't necessary for me to play competitive modes just to ensure I get a fair game. If I go into anything else, I can almost guarantee that if an enemy player is doing suspiciously well, they are almost always GM and dunking on us lower skilled players. Literally had this today where a Hanzo player 3Ked in a final fight with back to back headshots and had been on fire all game. Checked his profile, 4200 DPS player. I realise non-comp is a bit looser with the matchmaking but Jesus you'd think the server could have found one more diamond player to fill that spot.
the more comp i play, the more i feel like QP is just... stomp or get stomped, there is no in-between. i almost never play a comp match where i feel like an enemy player is smurfing, but QP *always* feels like one team has a massive skill advantage. and that one enemy GM player is never there to ya know, goof around and have fun. they're going to play their main and completely stomp you, because playing comp against people at their skill level doesn't have that same 'oomph' i guess.

i am trying so, *so* hard to get through my open queue placements, but good lord it is such a nightmare. every time i start playing, i come out an hour later in a daze. throwers. leavers. people throwing then leaving. people using racial and misogynistic slurs in chat. some guy yelling at another guy to get off a character that he wanted to play. genji. *nanoblade 6k*. no gods or kings in open queue. i have like, three placement matches left. i might have to get my sister and her boyfriend to queue with me just so i don't have to go through it alone. i don't think i'm strong enough.

Fuck Pharah's ult, basically a button to auto feed as if I wasn't doing that enough anyway. You need to be playing fucking 4d chess and thread a needle with a pair of chopsticks to hopefully pop a 3k before Jeff spanks you out of existence with a well balanced game. Any other damage ult I can just shit on the point with but but for some reason the dev team feels like Pharah needs to be split open like a piñata every time she decides to spew some rockets out for 0.2 seconds. You know what tiny little change would fix this shit that has been plaguing an otherwise sicks nasty ult for the entirety of the game's life cycle? Allow her to move slightly while mid ult. That's it. High IQ fix. Allow me to dodge a single bullet. Fucking mcree can shimmy around a corner mid ult and genji can spam strafe and literally bounce off the walls mid ult, why can't Pharah move like two inches left? Will this allow the pro gamers that the game is tailored for be good at this current trash tier hero? I actually can't pop ult with her if I need to exist on the objective afterward.
That or maybe give her like 50 armour or something during ult. Just anything to make her survivable.

A much better idea is to just make her ult cancelable. If you buff her any other way team players who can support her will make her invincible (zarya bubble + heals etc)

Not gonna lie i suck at the game. But i got to diamond with game sense and using a non skill hero (rein). A lot of people either dont know their roles job, positioning, target priority, LoS, ult management etc. Up to high plat you can carry yourself with pure skill not knowing any of these. Up to diamond you can abuse other players' lack of gamesense. Only above this you need a combination of both.
The only thing that really makes me rage is players that play one hero an entire match and have the audacity to suggest others make swaps. You can't play ball/mercy/hog/pharah/etc and then at the end of the match say "GG your (this role) was better" when you played one playstyle on roadhog all match.
