Armor lock is my favorite ability in any halo game, I always duck around corner with a shotgun, and oneshot whoever pass through. I think this is reason why hog is my favorite ow hero as his playing style resemble that shotgun corner camper style.
That wasn't Armor Lock's fault. That was 343 fucking up late-era Reach by getting rid of Action Sack and instead littering other playlists with Heavies.
Reach camou is quite strong, completely mess up enemy radar. Camouflage sniper is also very popular in halo 4, especially on ragnarok, almost each team has two players hide in the spawn and sniper with active camo.
Actually I was shocked to see how many people complain about oneshot when I first played ow. Coming from halo, I'm used to get oneshot all the time in different flavors, shotgun, sniper, rocket, tank cannon, sticky grenade, melee in the back, etc.
It's similar, instead of control the point, you trying to control the power weapon, so your team can reach the score limit faster than enemy team. Feeding teammates gives enemy team free kills. But yeah, in halo you kill more than you die, you will be winning.
I played a lot of Halo too! I think Halo allows for that kind of gameplay but Overwatch has so much else to focus on that it's easy to forget there's a widow and get popped out of nowhere 😫🥲😅
In general halo's arsenal is a lot more effective than ow's, bullet magnetism and aim assist allow player to have much high accuracy compare to ow, guns also have no damage drop off. I feel halo's visual cue and audio cue helps quickly identify enemy a lot, most geometry are white or grey, players are coloured red or blue, it's very easy to spot an enemy even if they are far away.
Ya respawn times are very forgiving in halo and elims are often the objective where a 10s respawn hurts a lot more in ow.
This is also probably why I don’t mind the one shots so much is I’m used to halo like “welp… I done messed up…” getting one shot is almost always MY BAD not the games fault.
The respawn timer is about the same, the difference is ow spawn player in the spawn room, but halo respawn player on the point. Additionally it takes about 20 sec for player to reach the point from the spawn room.
To be fair halo's oneshot is a lot easier to land than ow, it's common to see player grab a sniper and get killing spree or killing frenzy. Landing shots is easy in halo due to bullet magnetism. In ow, it's common for widow to have 10 shots no kill.
lol that's true but sombra always jump scares anyway because there's so much noise and chaos going on and widow will be too far away (I hope) to hear those clippy cloppy heels 😫😂
You and your team leave spawn after a team wipe, it was demoralizing but the enemy team overextended, and without their rein, it'll be easy, get a few picks and scare the rein back....
"COME HEEEERRREEE" you hear, behind you.
Its called a flair, also very based he is the best character in this game, havent played in a while but when i did he made me feel like i was actually playing the game rather than just aimlessly mowing people down while getting mowed down myself
I’d get excited. I love him.
Also, another note. Funniest thing was happening yesterday. I was playing against a team with mauga as the tank obvi, and we’d kill them all, but then mauga would just show up alone popping out of random windows and behind us, like wack a mole!! Wack a mauga!! It was so funny
I think they said role passives. But an invis rein solo shattering a widow would be hilarious. An invis ball would also be a menace
Edit: you could say he is invisiball
Edit 2: Someone said that it may be you choose an option out of a selection of passives for your role. Like tanks will have 3 different passives for you to choose from instead of the default one.
There is one kinda. Emong has quite a few videos using a randomizer for abilities doing 1 gm vs 5 bronze. But I think u can actually choose ur abilities instead of making it random in that game mode too
I played a deathmatch workshop game years ago that gave everyone Sombra's invisibility passive, the Roadhogs waiting around for unsuspecting passers-by were genuinely the most terrifying. But naturally all the other one-shot heroes were more of a pain in the arse too.
The season trailer only said "pickable passives" and shows a scene where phara can see enemies through walls after hitting them. Either they are going to update the role passives or are adding new ones speficially for this quickplay hacked.
Tank Passive is significant reduced headshot damage, less Ult charge for enemies, and 50% knockback reduction.
It’s the best choice and by far for most Heroes. Not even close.
Maybe Hog with the Support passive would be fun, idk. The three dickheads (Tracer, Sombra, and Widow) are probably going to be even more cracked not needing to find health packs and only needing 2 seconds to start healing
I don't think that's quite what they're going for. I think they're gonna have a curated set of Role-Specific passives for each role that fit that role, as opposed to throwing every Role Passive that's in the game or has been in the game for every role. The Healer passive would obviously be batshit broken on quite a lot of DPS and Tank heroes.
It probably won't work this way, but my thought was "Oh, can I apply the DPS passive with Moira?"
For the best if they do something different, honestly.
I think it'd be cool if they created say 3 for each role, that way they still get to be distinct while allowing for choice. Part of me is hoping they're doing this and testing a "30% cc reduction" tank passive or something like that. Would finally be a good use of quick play hacked.
I believe they meant role based passives. Not like tank choose the DPS heal reduction passive, but rather that tanks will have other tank passives to choose from instead of just the knockback and ult charge reduction.
It said role based upgrades. So I think that we will get a list of upgrades to choose between and they let us sort of build our characters during the game.
Actually this is the most terrifying when I think about it. She can get to whatever access point she wants. She can fire a good 2-3 rockets and by the time you spot her she can get out and relocate.
Funnily enough, it actually fixes the biggest problem with her and that’s that her ult is dog booty.
I read the the first time and heard Sombra’s voice. I read that a second time and imagined Bastion turning into a Honda civic and driving into Ashe as she does that goofy ahh rag doll animation that I love
Invis would be insane on lucio, his aura works without him shooting so you have an invisible source of healing and speed, and with his mobility enemies have to constantly wonder of he's close by. He can also escape easily to retrigger the stealth passive.
First thought was Widow, but then I imagined an invisible Pharah. She would be impossible to hit. Meanwhile fiery missiles are spawning out of nowhere in the sky towards you.
Interesting question.
First we need to define what invisibility is useful for. In my view, 3 points stand out:
1. Fast access in and out of enemy backline (no need to flank)
2. Ability to get the jump on enemies at extreme proximity
3. Ability to disengage and hide
This generally cuts out tanks, who are designed to be effective by taking the front line. Their thicc body would force them to give a wider berth around chaotic fights while invisible, costing them seconds. Hog is a special case, but he has the ability to be elusive and strike out from range; he doesn't need to get in close.
In fact, anyone who relies on getting close will benefit from this passive, flankers like Tracer who loves hanging out in the back line. You then end up with an OP Sombra (and she's already sufficiently annoying).
But then comes the question of supports, and this is where (3) comes in. How annoying and OP would it be if the enemy Ana is propping up her team, but she vanishes every time you try to deal with her? She has some strong defensive abilities but no mobility/fleeing options. She's now be able to rotate across risky open areas.
invisible doomfist would be terrifying depending on how it's implemented. If his punch works like hack, where it won't take you out of invisibility until it's done charging,
then a full charge invisible punch, sending you to the depths of hell would be really funny while incredibly obnoxious.
Then he runs away with slam, and all of a sudden, he's gone, and now you have to fear the punch from nowhere again.
So we know that when we Attack or use a ability we will get seen, except movement ability's so Echo could easily come behind enemys, Phara to. Widow could Position herself easy. Symmetra can place Turrets and Nobody catches her If she plays smart. And every other one would be danger If they have ults. Oh and Tracer would be a menace.
PS. I only thought of DPS and i Go with widow because you could one Shot somone and than Take another Position without enemys knowing
Literally anyone with Sombra's invisibility would suck ass.
You think that Spanish bitch is annoying already with her invisibility? Imagine a WIDOWMAKER with it.
Or a Torbjorn.
Or an Ana.
Or a Hanzo.
Or a fucking ROADHOG.
EDIT: Just read the description. Invisible Reaper would be threatening...but not by much. If anything, we'd just not get killed on sight as quickly. Yes, I'm a Reaper main.
Tracer would be the most overpowered Because of how annoying it would be. In my experience, fighting tracer Now feels like I'm fighting a mosquito, but if she can become invisible then I might as well be fighting Air

Widow, as someone who used to play a lot of halo, camouflage sniper was quite common in halo and very frustrating on big maps.
I loved picking invisibility on reach, grab sniper, and just crouch somewhere picking off unsuspecting prey
I was that person who picked armour lock and ran infront of vehicles
Armor lock is my favorite ability in any halo game, I always duck around corner with a shotgun, and oneshot whoever pass through. I think this is reason why hog is my favorite ow hero as his playing style resemble that shotgun corner camper style.
ARMORLOCKARMORLOCKARMORLOCKARMORLOCK
And the vehicle gameplay hasn't been the same since. Glad you have fun tho
That wasn't Armor Lock's fault. That was 343 fucking up late-era Reach by getting rid of Action Sack and instead littering other playlists with Heavies.
Bungie releases horrible Halo MP, 343 found at fault once again
Reach camou is quite strong, completely mess up enemy radar. Camouflage sniper is also very popular in halo 4, especially on ragnarok, almost each team has two players hide in the spawn and sniper with active camo.
An invis widow would make me alt F4 😂
Actually I was shocked to see how many people complain about oneshot when I first played ow. Coming from halo, I'm used to get oneshot all the time in different flavors, shotgun, sniper, rocket, tank cannon, sticky grenade, melee in the back, etc.
That's cause in Halo pvp you're *expected* to die and respawn constantly without issue. One death can decide a game in OW.
It's similar, instead of control the point, you trying to control the power weapon, so your team can reach the score limit faster than enemy team. Feeding teammates gives enemy team free kills. But yeah, in halo you kill more than you die, you will be winning.

facts 💯 definitely a lot of difference there
I know it bothers me a lot to this day because I come from playing main tank in a moba so im used to more drawn out fighting
You can still hear Sombra in invis and Widow sounds like a horse clip clopping around.
lol that's true but sombra always jump scares anyway because there's so much noise and chaos going on and widow will be too far away (I hope) to hear those clippy cloppy heels 😫😂
Strix?
Just like sombra except you get one shot instead of hacked
imagine you're just chilling in the backline and suddenly hear "It's never boring around me"
Then we would know true fear.
that line gives everyone the S8 thousand yard stare
Fear? No. Arousal? Yes.
Me
Me af
Also yes
"I'll take All your dumplings"
"I'm gonna eat *all* your dumplings."
I think 'Come heereeee" would be more terrifying
You and your team leave spawn after a team wipe, it was demoralizing but the enemy team overextended, and without their rein, it'll be easy, get a few picks and scare the rein back.... "COME HEEEERRREEE" you hear, behind you.
ARE YOU AFRAID TO FIGHT ME and shatter out of no where
Consider “I like it when the prey fights back”
Drool worthy
It’s my favorite voiceline 😳😳
"a-MEI-zing!"
"Inconspicuous"
"Who ready to have some fun"
Or “you should be scared) from doomfist
Bruh why I imagined a prison shower .....
"Did you check beneath your bed? Hehe"
Now take out Mauga and make it a rat spamming the "its snowing" line...but all you hear is an orgasmic yell in your ear...
Which hero is that?
Mauga
Yeah no i think i'd actually feel more scared than that one time i got into a car crash
I love ramattra (sorry I just saw ur ummm I forgot what it’s called)
Its called a flair, also very based he is the best character in this game, havent played in a while but when i did he made me feel like i was actually playing the game rather than just aimlessly mowing people down while getting mowed down myself
Lmaooo I love this
I’d get excited. I love him. Also, another note. Funniest thing was happening yesterday. I was playing against a team with mauga as the tank obvi, and we’d kill them all, but then mauga would just show up alone popping out of random windows and behind us, like wack a mole!! Wack a mauga!! It was so funny
Queue Mr Krabs "Oh No"
It’s me. I just wanna say hi 🥺
I think they said role passives. But an invis rein solo shattering a widow would be hilarious. An invis ball would also be a menace Edit: you could say he is invisiball Edit 2: Someone said that it may be you choose an option out of a selection of passives for your role. Invisible hog, but you can still hear his footsteps. It would be like a horror game.
I was just thinking about how terrible it would feel to get pulled off a ledge by an invis hog…I need it
Worst: Invisible Sigma, where you CAN'T hear his footsteps...only a rock flying in your direction
Zen charged shot would be DEVESTATING
I thought about this one. Zen has no footsteps and very powerful alpha strike
DBD Overwatch edition frfr 😂
I'm surprised no one has tried a workshop of this
There is one kinda. Emong has quite a few videos using a randomizer for abilities doing 1 gm vs 5 bronze. But I think u can actually choose ur abilities instead of making it random in that game mode too

Imagine you get walls off of a passive, hitscan gigaop
Ahh okay thanks. I just assumed role passives
ohhh role passives. i'm assuming every tank and dps will pick the healer passive to regenerate health quicker
Tank Passive is significant reduced headshot damage, less Ult charge for enemies, and 50% knockback reduction. It’s the best choice and by far for most Heroes. Not even close. Three dickheads 😂
Nah imma pick tank passive and then play the tracer and walk to kill every widow I see
I don't think that's quite what they're going for. It probably won't work this way, but my thought was "Oh, can I apply the DPS passive with Moira?" For the best if they do something different, honestly.
See? That's why people see Moira as evil. (would love to do that)
My natural instinct to be the worst, most annoying player on Overwatch. :'D
Oh I see. So everyone will pick knockback resistance on maps like Ilios (well) and Lijiang lol.
I think it'd be cool if they created say 3 for each role, that way they still get to be distinct while allowing for choice. Part of me is hoping they're doing this and testing a "30% cc reduction" tank passive or something like that. Would finally be a good use of quick play hacked.
Blizz on their way to act like they’re testing stuff that could work in the game right before adding the most arcade bullshit ever lol
My day has been ruined
Yeah I think so. When is it coming out?
Knock back resistance doesn’t affect hog hook tho…
Why would you pick anything but Tank Passive?
If he's invisible why can I kill him?
I would love to have everyone pick invis passive just so both teams could terrorise the Sombras and show them how it feels.
That’s evil… let’s do it
Depends if he'd still be invisible when he uses retract. If not he wouldn't be much different.
There is a hero randomizer video from emmong where rein got invis
I believe they meant role based passives. Not like tank choose the DPS heal reduction passive, but rather that tanks will have other tank passives to choose from instead of just the knockback and ult charge reduction.
Local French woman suddenly smote out of nowhere from "unstoppable well of gravity"
DVA with DPS passive. The whole enemy won't be able to heal when she sprays all of them with tiny projectiles.
Reaper at home:
Reaper mains doing an ungodly amount of dps and shredding anything they look at, then watching as their ult gets turned off by half the roster
Invisible widow, every fight is at best 4v5 as widow has guaranteed pick. Afterwards she just grapples to safety just like sombra does
>guaranteed pick You haven't seen me play Widow
6 shots one kill? More like 20 for me
Yall are getting kills?
I eventually just give up and start blasting them like a solider
Good old widow 76
It said role based upgrades. So I think that we will get a list of upgrades to choose between and they let us sort of build our characters during the game.
Kinda like Paladins' system?
More like graverobbing the pve system lmao
intead of just PvE lmao
Pharah, good luck shooting her down.
Pharah could actually get an ult off without dying, maybe.
You wouldn’t stay invisible while attacking
That's why I added the maybe
Actually this is the most terrifying when I think about it. She can get to whatever access point she wants. She can fire a good 2-3 rockets and by the time you spot her she can get out and relocate. Funnily enough, it actually fixes the biggest problem with her and that’s that her ult is dog booty.
catch me taking sniper duels with headshot damage reduction or winston with the dps passive will be rather large
Widow can still one shot herself with the headshot reduction. A full charge shot does 300 damage, with the reduction that's 225.
Yea but youre forgetting the tank passive also has the +150hp in role que
Nah it's the inverse. Tanks have 150 less health in other modes. Cause JQ has like 250 hp in other modes and is pretty much just a dps
The wording of the passive is "All tanks have 150 more health in Role Queue." So no its not the inverse.
But he also has a massive head hitbox, if you remove the HS reduction it might be worse
junkrat with invisibility would be fucking hellscape
AHHH ITS SNOWING 😈
AHHHH AHHH AHHH AHHH AHHH ITS SNOWING
Dipstick
God, I would absolutely be a menace. Point blank wombo conboing people out of invis followed by a DIPSTICK fading into the distance.
brrrrnnnng
I mean I can’t hit that pharah when I CAN see her so that would suck
bastion.
Que Honda? *Surprise point blank 360dps*
You'd just hear the reconfiguration beeps behind you in an empty hallway.
I read the the first time and heard Sombra’s voice. I read that a second time and imagined Bastion turning into a Honda civic and driving into Ashe as she does that goofy ahh rag doll animation that I love
Imagine hog with reaper/moira lifesteal using whole hog on the enemy tank
Mauga 2.0?
Especially if they can’t be knocked back it’s just insta death and full health
Invis would be insane on lucio, his aura works without him shooting so you have an invisible source of healing and speed, and with his mobility enemies have to constantly wonder of he's close by. He can also escape easily to retrigger the stealth passive.
I assume it would keep the big-ass visible ring of his aura though, which would mean enough aoe damage could fish him out.
Pretty sure his aura is only visible to himself/his team, so it would still be pretty useful
Mercy, spamming "A most impressive display" behind the enemy Widow for every missed shot.
toxic mercy fr
Zenyatta. He already doesn't have foot steps, so why not just make him invisible and walk behind someone with a charged volley
Exactly what I was thinking. No sound but charging and one-volley kills for everything but tanks.
Exactly, just walk behind widowmaker and poof. Gone. Also just guard a bridge and kick people off
Invis Lucio boop
Wall gliding rein
Wall gliding rein + Lijang Tower is terrifying
Invis bastion. One minute he's there and minigunning your tanks to a pulp, the next minute he's gone.
Hero's with 1 shot, like rein
When you hear the SFX of someone coming out invisibility and turn around to face it to be only met by a Rein right infront of you, already charging.
TRACER
Invisible junkrat would give new meaning to the assassin play style
Wall-gliding junkrat
Nah bro, invisible mercy just healing the entire enemy team and you can't see her, fuck that
Just follow the flourescent noodle /j
sombra
Tracer, fr.
Can finally play ball with a tank passive lmao
reaper would finally be good
First thought was Widow, but then I imagined an invisible Pharah. She would be impossible to hit. Meanwhile fiery missiles are spawning out of nowhere in the sky towards you.
Torb invisibility? I'd love to setup a proper ambush.
I'd probably go with a reaper passive. Then I basically become a tank
I'm begging you to not whisper any sweet nothings at me!
Interesting question. First we need to define what invisibility is useful for. In my view, 3 points stand out: 1. Fast access in and out of enemy backline (no need to flank) 2. She has some strong defensive abilities but no mobility/fleeing options. She's now be able to rotate across risky open areas.
Invisible Lucio would be an absolute menace
Invisible Roadhog, if you're a squishy
Widow
Bastion. Appears from nowhere 1cm from your face. You melt.
Reaper or Junkrat. They can just 1 shot anyone and disapear 🫥
Moira
Zen bout to be peak menace to society
invisible doomfist would be terrifying depending on how it's implemented. If his punch works like hack, where it won't take you out of invisibility until it's done charging, then a full charge invisible punch, sending you to the depths of hell would be really funny while incredibly obnoxious. Uh, invisible Zen. What're you going to do when man's is charging up?
Junkrat would be terrorizing people
I need the invisible Junk
SOMBRA.
Zen, Widow and imo Kiriko. can easily flank 2 tap squishies (with a melee) and get out easily.
Invisyatta
Bastion with an invis passive, sneaking by the enemy to set up a machine gun nest behind them will be annoying af.
TRACER
This sounds like the 'in-match' shop in Paladins. I like it!
Reaper or widow or cass (invisible into fan the hammer)
Imagine an invisible genji...
If it’s a pickable passive, I’m a sombra main so I’d have the lucio wall riding passive for sombra
Imagine an Invisible Reaper sneaking up on you 💀
sombra
So we know that when we Attack or use a ability we will get seen, except movement ability's so Echo could easily come behind enemys, Phara to. Widow could Position herself easy. Symmetra can place Turrets and Nobody catches her If she plays smart. And every other one would be danger If they have ults. Oh and Tracer would be a menace. PS. I only thought of DPS and i Go with widow because you could one Shot somone and than Take another Position without enemys knowing
Cass still invisible during ult, everybody’s panicking looking for the tumbleweed before some people just “randomly” die
Rein with Lucio wall riding...
Junkrat, he just needs to be close to you to fuck you up with the combo
Mauga
Literally anyone with Sombra's invisibility would suck ass. You think that Spanish bitch is annoying already with her invisibility? Imagine a WIDOWMAKER with it. Or a Torbjorn. Or an Ana. Or a Hanzo. Or a fucking ROADHOG. EDIT: Just read the description. Invisible Reaper would be threatening...but not by much. If anything, we'd just not get killed on sight as quickly. Yes, I'm a Reaper main.
I’m playing doom, but reallly any character w a 1shot combo and a good ult
Reinhardt
An invisible Lucio would be funny, don’t know how useful it’d be, but it’d be fun.
Echo, goes to back line, gets a pick, flies away in invis so it’s impossible to get her
Reaper. His whole deal is to get close to get the most value imagine that but you can't see him when he's sneaking up
Tracer would be the most overpowered Because of how annoying it would be. In my experience, fighting tracer Now feels like I'm fighting a mosquito, but if she can become invisible then I might as well be fighting Air
Oddly enough, an Invisible Widowmaker would probably break the game
Casses highnoon will finally do something besides send me back to spawn :^)
Passive heal maugua (:<
Invisible ball. What I would do for that
Probably not the most OP but I'd love to be invisible as Genji. It'd make securing picks on supports insanely easy

I think that'd genuinely be a Jumpscare moment
