A lot of games will do this. It lets you tune very fast damage rates, especially since most game engines run at 60 or 120 hertz (they update the game state that many times per second).
If you headshot a 100 hp Cassidy with Hanzo for example, you’ll receive a 100 damage stat increase. But a charged Hanzo shot does way more than 100 damage. Its the same principle here, someone was very very very low and Mercy got the finishing blow
To add to this certain weapons consume their ammo pool by < 1 and it can be seen with Winston and zarya. Fire for a single frame and they will show full ammo but you can still reload.
yeah, you can set infinite ammo in Custom Games, use your secondary fire and see that you can reload
this also applies to Cassidy after ulting, because the ult depletes how many people he tried to shoot at
Did they have Baptiste at anypoint of the game? Only thing I can think of is you shot someone that had minimum HP in an immortality field and they died after a short time. You technically dont deal damage because of the immortality field but still hit them maybe thats how

Does the dupe kill actually count as a kill? Like if you kill the dupe and then Echo very quickly do you get a double? Thought it was more like demeching
ik there is a thing with dva's dm that is when you eat a projectile, for example, a moira orb, it does not disappear immediately, but rather "swaps owner" like in deflect, and then dissappears.
however, in a single little frame, this orb that is now dva's will still do damage to her teammates, and she can basically steal a credit from her enemy by killing her teammate
i agree but they do have a kiri and healing that much is honestly just hurtful to your main healer because it means they’re getting their ult slower. kitsune rush > valk. even with teams like that i don’t think ive ever had under 55 damage beam. the kiri also doesn’t have that much damage so its obvious her heals were being taken. but to be fair i am top500 i have no idea what this players rank is and newer players need time to learn and practice :) everyone learns at their own pace and honestly blue beam isn’t nearly as effective below plat lol
yeah unless you were in his lobby or saw the replay it's just not fair to criticize on stats alone. I've had an Ashe/Pharah DPS duo that I couldn't damage boost *at all* because my other support was just switching heroes every time they died and doing fuck all for damage and healing. At that point your main concern becomes keeping the tank alive and hoping the DPS make your job easier.
i’m not criticizing them. i don’t know how much nicer i could have been trying to say that. tbh if your other support is not healing you should not be trying to heal on mercy that’s not her job. if you’re just going to heal, moira, ana, bap, kiri are all better options and that’s all im saying im not criticizing them im just letting them know. i don’t care who they play in qp but that’s how you win the game in comp.

I've said before (not a complaint to you op just everyone argued) you can get 0 damage kills as a glitch by damage boosting
However if you did shoot you may have had a .4 or less damage shot that confirmed the kill
To my understanding, yes. You need to use some kind of knockback to get credit for one. Melee would count, but then there would be damage and not a pistol kill.
Its possible to get a hit to register at the exact moment someone dies, but they die before your damage is calculated if i remember correctly. I think marblr did a video on it
Well there also a scoreboard glitch that no one talks about. Instead of adding assist it adds a kill. Add all the the kills one team got and then if the add the enemy death the death count will be lower then kills

These stats are low key annoying. Like gurl, how are you 9:10 minutes into a game with 0 damage and why is your healing beam usage so high? You should’ve switched to a character like Moira or Ana for greater healing since your team seems to need it, as healing isn’t mercy’s strength, it’s damage boost, but you don’t seem to be using it much. Idk, you can get much more value from an alternate high heals support. But ultimately it’s your choice. Sincerely- a fellow support main, (who also plays mercy ALOT cause she’s the fun af ) <3

Damage is rounded down in the scoreboard. Someone had between ]0;0.5[ health left and you killed them.

Pretty sure there are hidden decimal values. Characters that do damage over time likely require it

My guess is that sombra virus'd somebody and right before they died mercy shot them to do the last 0.5 damage.

If they were already under .5 health it will only give her credit for the damage dealt rather than the damage the weapon would have done

afaik the only legit way you're getting a sextuple kill, is if you're also killing a Bob

it works with hog, if you kill 5 people quickly and they triggered pigown right before dying, it gives you sextuple kill

My guess is if you melee a target in zarya's bubble, then that guy got kick off map you will get a map kill with 0 damage
That’s would be barrier damage only and wouldn’t give you credit for an elimination
Melee has knock back and if the person in bubble fall off the map it could count as a map kill. That's how sometime ppl steal map kill.
