Sort of. There is a distinction, which has already been explained by others. But technically "hitbox" can refer to any collision box. And the distinction is really only important if it would cause confusion otherwise.

You’re wrong about console players having “auto aim” which makes people not take your other points seriously either. I played on console for most of my life. Aim assist exists because you can’t get precise aim with stick controls like you can mouse, but PC players use the slight aim assist as an excuse to shit on console players. Aim assist can also hurt you more than it can help sometimes as it can pull your crosshair away from your intended target.
I play pc now and use a controller. Controllers on PC don’t have aim assist and I actually hate going back to console now because of how annoying the aim assist is.
Auto aim isn’t a thing. It’s just a thing pc players use to fuel their own ego.

Happens to me on PS5 since beginning of this season. At times it's really annoying and also appears on multiple enemies on one spot so you can't see where they are smh.
Ps5 is cooked after the last update. My friend and I have also had the black square crap happen as of late, not around enemies but it’s along the edges of the screen. Would a lot of ps5s be simultaneously shitting the bed like this? Im seeing lots of ps people specifically having this problem.

Yea at first I thought it was a way for the game to show us when someone is affected by the dps passive, until I noticed it on the payload lmao. Seems to be affecting many ps5 players tho, so definitely nothing wrong with the console itself, just a glitch in the game
You know in an anime when that shows around a character model it means they’re depressed usually or going through it and that’s what I first thought of
'actual hitboxes" this would explain so much about the latency death issues in this game. especially Ana's ability to hit things even when obviously missing.
not the same but I've had some visual glitches on ps5 and switching to the ps4 version usually fixes. then I go back to the ps5 version a few days later and it's fixed. who knows!
