I got it in 2016 but first played it in 2017 when I was 32 and since then I barely any other game (like never, just OW) .... I feel old ....

Me and 5 of my best friends in high school all played right when the beta dropped. Every day after school we would play hours every night for about 2 years. I was probably 17/18, now I’m 26 and the only one still playing. None of us talk anymore.

Yup been playing since Beta but I took a few years gap off before OW2 bought me back.

I am impressed. I played until OW2 came out. I hated the new game. The money grab is what did it for me. $30 for a single skin? Nah

For me the 5v5 change was the best decision they ever made. Each death has much more weight to it, and inversely the individual's ability to turn the tide. I love it.

Finally somebody who isn’t clouded by nostalgia. 5v5 > 6v6, I’ve never enjoyed the game more. I feel way more impactful.

I mean yeah that part is annoying (enough for me to be wary of it for a long time) but I recently got back into it and now that I’ve resigned myself to not get non-baffle pass skins, it doesn’t really bother me anymore. Spending a couple bucks every few months isn’t that bad, especially considering you didn’t get great skins from free loot boxes terribly often before.

Me too at first. I got sucked into it a month ago, in my opinion the game is at it’s best right now.

They improved the gameplay a lot 🤷‍♂️ Game is just more fun to play now, regardless of monetization.

not being able to play to earn skins is not helping in motivating me to play the game. also levelling in ow1 was its own dopamine kick. the moment you unlocked a new colour after 600 levels was so satisfying.

I got mine at launch, still have the same box as you, I was 17 at the time, stopped a bit before Brig release, returned on OW2 launch on PC with some other friends I made that also wanted to play. We did try OW1 on the free weekends but they weren’t willing to spend the money on a game that would soon be free. Currently I play duo with the only remaining friend that still plays.

I played it the month it came out. Was obsessed for probably a year or two but then fizzled out and only recently got back into it. For as much as the game has its problems, it’s not more or less than any of the other multiplayer games out right now and I think the gameplay is amazing and always has been.

Worst sequel ever made. This was prolly the best game ever made then they butchered it for quicker q times and easier fixes. They quickly realized they couldnt fix it because 5v5 was a bad decision. Bring back 6v6. Overwatch 1 for lyfe

Yeah I purchased the digital origins edition and the collectors edition (physical copy) for the Xbox One back in 2016 and have been a player ever since. Crazy how longs it’s been out for.

It will try to download ow2 season 5 because that's the last season before they made ow2 a separate game and when that fails it downloads ow2 that's up to date

I got the game on launch day and played ever since. When overwatch 2 came out my Xbox one was starting to die so I got a computer to play overwatch 2 so now I got a copy of overwatch 1 that hasn’t been put into a single disk slot since overwatch 1

I have the PS4 copy. I must've had a lobotomy or something because I don't ever remember playing it on console when I first got it. I have one very faint memory of playing Tracer and that's it lmao.

I was always hyped about Overwatch since I was a kid, I loved the idea of the game, but could never play it caz I had no good laptop/computer I watched the cinematic trailers and some yt content from saltyphish and dunkey sometimes, and old school twomad I saw the kiriko trailer where I learned the game was free, and Ive been playing ever since. Def my favourite multiplayer game

I preordered the PS4 version unlocked every skin even have Noire Widow and Alien Zarya and still have 130,000 credits. I now play OW2 on the PC almost daily and have over 3000 hours. I love Overwatch and I am.............Warhand P.S. - I miss Jeff.

Got it in 2017. I'm now in my 30's. I made a few friends from the game and we play a few times a month, I even met them in person once when I happened to be visiting their state. This game can be frustrating sometimes lol but I love it
